Following the success of Joe Vanditti’s summertime edit of SAINt JHN, we return with another monumental re-rub. This time, Mario Daic puts his spin on a Villalobos classic.

2021 saw the launch of our free download series, as Joe Vanditti turned out an incredible edit of world-renowned Hip-Hop artist SAINt JHN’s ‘Borders’ (feat. Lenny Kravitz). 2022 aims to continue with impressive momentum as we welcome German producer and TILT resident Mario Daic to the stage.

Mario’s take on Ricardo Villalobos & Mari Kvien Brunvoll’s ‘Everywhere You Go’ has already started to grab the attention of some of the industry’s biggest hitters, including Marco Carola and Luciano - who have both played the track several times in their sets.

Diving straight into a ricocheting flurry of drums and percussive flair, Mario’s edit blends plenty of that signature NoZzo rolling sound with Vilallobos’ celebrated nonconformist approach to music production. Weighty kick sequences, swirling instrumental layers & hypnotic vocal arrangements are just some of the things you’ll find in this endlessly captivating dancefloor pleaser.

Almost one year has passed since our first chapter, and the notes quickly started gathering together, giving life to something that goes beyond the ordinary. We tried to stay out of sight and remained as inconspicuous as possible for a while, but our sound was way too loud: this led us to come out. 

While we step out of the shadows, the Take Notes crew recruits London-based artist Ben Sterling. The Planet X and X-Files label boss makes his versatile sound one of his best skills, and for his Take Notes debut, he follows up the snaking, minimal sound of his Solid Grooves release for the entitled 'BBB' EP. Both the originals provide hefty minimal rhythms lulled by delicious percussive patterns, playful vocal chops and wisely-written shuffling grooves. 

The grand finale is courtesy of Romanian-established SEPP, who turns 'RRR' into a gigantic, energy-driven anthem, as thunderous bassline and heavy kickdrums meet hi-pitched chants and sweeping synths, all together into a rumbling, celestial remix.

An artist whose groove-led sound continues to evolve and blossom, Amsterdam’s Joey Daniel is a name you can rely on for quality and consistency. After featuring across a long list of the world’s most renowned venues alongside releases via a host of top tier labels, he added the title of label boss to his ever-growing list of accolades earlier this year after founding his own imprint SiO Records. Title cut ‘The Message’ welcomes an understated yet infectious groove guided by silky keys, refined rolling drums and playful bass licks as the Amsterdam native gets things moving nicely. ‘5AM Hung Kee’ ups the energy and keeps things moving nicely as organic percussion arrangements guide echoed vocal interjections and sweeping pads towards sun-drenched terraces, before closing the show via the wonky, after-hours sounds of ‘Going Places’.
