VANRAY, aka Pete Long, is a solo acoustic artist based in West Yorkshire, recording and performing original material and covers at venues across the UK and beyond.
The driving force behind indie band Moonpump and the alternative electroacoustic act Fie! Fie! Fie!, VanRay has been prolific in terms of penning tunes, with many of the tracks featuring on radio stations around the world.
A typical live set features cover versions as diverse as Soft Cell, Bob Marley, Pixies, Rag N Bone Man, James, Neil Young, John Martyn, The Cure, Blondie, Nirvana, Green Day, AC/DC, TLC, and many more..
The release of the new album AS THE CENTURY'S DEFINED and the EPs The First Circle, Stoplines & Byways, A Stones Throw Away and To The Dark Earth in 2021/22/23 has seen tons of worldwide airplay and exciting opportunities for VANRAY.

I am a Song Collector & Community Cultivator (mudcat.org), Public Radio Host (wpsu.org/blues), and Musician (kazoorepair.com). I have scored and contributed soundtrack for multiple motion pictures. I've been looking for a tuba player that "gets me" for 27 years. Although I've been somewhat dormant for a decade, my kids are nearly all raised, and let me tell you, everyone in the whole wide world is better off if that once they are, I'm lit up once again like that time I heard the sound that happens when me Carl take a crack at an old John Hurt song. Rock my soul indeed motherfuckers.

Malc and Gill have more than 90 years experience between them of singing on the folk scene, and although they have only been performing as a duo for about ten years, have been an integral part of the Midlands folk scene singing solo and in various other line-ups since the sixties!

Malc Gurnham is an excellent singer, plays quite a variety of instruments (most of them with strings!) and is a highly regarded solo performer. 
He also can be found running singarounds and acting as an MC at many festivals throughout the country. 
He has played in numerous bands as well as a soolist, in both the "popular" and folk music scene, currently in addition to singing with Gill also is part of GLORISHEARS CEILIDH BAND, and THE MEN IN BLACK (the only Folk/60's band specially put together for a Folk Festival!) latterly he has also played in THE KATHERINE FEAR BAND, and appeared on recordings by a number of well know performers including the late JOHNNY COLLINS 
As well as performing Malc promotes many folk events - he is Festival Director of BEDWORTH FOLK FESTIVAL and the Organiser of BEDWORTH FOLK CLUB, one of the longest running clubs in the country, runs his own small recording studio FAT SAM MUSIC, and has presented his own Folk Music show on BBC Local Radio.
Gill Gilsenan started singing at The Corner House Folk Club in the 70's (Run at the time by Malc) with her partner and later to be husband BRYAN SUNDERLAND, as a duo they became quite popular around the Midlands folk scene under the collective name of "THE FLYING SUNDERLANDS" performing close harmony Contemporary songs and traditional songs, particularly those from Bryans native North-East of England, and regularly visited Newcastles' popular Bridge Folk Club. Sadly Bryan died in the 90's, and although frequenting the local folk venues Gill did very little singing for some years. She met up with Ace guitarist DAVE BENNETT and formed both a musical and personal partnership and performing as SPIRIT MEASURE became an integral part of the the Coventry Folk Music scene, running clubs and sessions at a multitude of venues around the City. 
Over the last few years Gill has got more involved in Malcs folk music promotions and now helps look after much of the administration of Bedworth Folk Festival.

As a duo Malc & Gill, not surprisingly with their backgrounds, have a wide diversity of material, both traditionally and contemporary based, and ranging from clever harmony work to humour and even a serious ballad or two, performed either a-capella or with Malcs pleasantly understated guitar accompaniment. 
Much of their material uses their own unique approach to arranging, and adaptation of tunes to help emphasise the meaning or sentiment of the lyrics.


Suzy and Simon are established artists in their own right, but are now writing, recording and playing together as The Starlite Campbell Band. They have recently launched a regular podcast which is featured here

Their music spans Contemporary Folk, through Blues and Americana to Progressive Rock.

The award-winning, Manchester-born singer-songwriter has established himself as one of the more interesting songwriters on the London gig circuit playing both solo and with a full band. He performed at 12 festivals over the summer of 2017 including The Great Escape, Camden Rocks, Liverpool Sound City, Reverb Festival, Tramlines and Standon Calling and in 2016 supported Muse at the O2 playing at the priority lounge. He also organises his own music festival and curated a great line-up of independent artists for 2017. The Festival is called Music Makers Festival (www.musicmakersfestival.com).

Albert was featured on Best Of British Unsigned as “one to watch” for 2017 saying they “love Albert's sound”. This was swiftly followed up with him being chosen as their featured artist of the day twice and has been nominated for 'Best Unsigned Male' for their Unsigned Music Awards 2017.

He has received airplay on BBC Introducing in London twice as well as having had tracks played on BBC Essex, BBC Leicester, FUBAR and Wandsworth Radio. He has also performed live multiple times on BBC Essex and as part of London Live’s music sessions. Albert is also a Fresh On The Net favourite having had tracks chosen by Tom Robinson's Fresh Faves five times now. 

Albert had a sold out launch at St Pancras Old Church for his 2017 EP ‘Nothing Of Nothing Much’ (www.albertman.com/nonm) and the live recording has been released as a live album called 'Live At St Pancras Old Church' (www.albertman.com/live). His 2016 self-produced album 'Cheap Suit' (www.albertman.com/cheapsuit) won the 'Best Independent Album' award on the Alternative Friday blog.
