This month sees Byron The Aquarius officially launch his TALKNOI$E label, the first release "Shroomz, Guns and Roses" is an all-original 5 track EP by the main man himself.
When Byron The Aquarius talks about live frequencies, his enthusiasm is infectious! A keys player by trade, his love for melody and harmony has consistently drawn the attention of electronic music’s leading labels and producers.
In 2015, Byron released his solo album on BBE, “Planets of Love”, and when he wasn’t working on his own music, he was playing keys in the studio with Kai Alce. These creations got into the hands of Theo Parrish, who loved the sound of his sublime jazz-infected house and picked two tracks to release on Sound Signature in 2016, the “Highlife EP”. In the years since, Byron has consistently released quality music on Wild Oats, Eglo & more. There’s been his “Astral Traveling” album on Mutual Intentions, and the “Ambrosia LP” on Jeff Mills’ Axis Records. Most recently, Byron released “The New Beginning LP” on Shall Not Fade. Byron has toured the planet playing festivals Dimensions, Dekmantel, Suncebeat, Lente Kabinet, and All Points East, as well as the worlds’ most important clubs.
“Shroomz, Guns and Roses” was born out of the pandemic. it was a time when Byron felt deep in nature and the studying of zen. In his own words “I felt like the pandemic brought out a darkness in me, and I combatted these negative thoughts with nature and mushrooms to create a balance in my life spending time in the mountains of Alabama and Asheville, North Carolina. I chose “guns” and “roses” as a way to juxtapose the violence we’re experiencing in the USA with the peace of mind a rose can bring as a balance in life. Music makes its way through these tough times we’re all facing, and to me, music is that rose. I paint a canvas of my emotions through synthesizers and drum machines to show the world balance can be found through even the toughest of times.”

Written on a flight returning home (UK) after living in Australia, the title track from this EP resembles Acid James's emotions of residing there for a year. Over that year, Acid James was a resident DJ at Pawn & Co, played Xe54 and joined the Melbourne DJ circuit. Over multiple events playing disco, acid house and electronica, the pulse and uplifting nature of the Australian dancefloor have played an influence throughout this track. Flight From Down Under, with its warm chugging bass line and acid harmonies, are perfect for getting a crowd ready for take-off!

Three more earworms are included on the EP, taken from the forthcoming Breaking Through Part II album and one from last year's Part I. LYO Presents : Driving Blind (Vol. 3) Snippets // OUT 16/12/2022

Straight from the depths of the Italian scene, A-Tweed and Oltrefuturo have materialized Morphism, a collaboration that makes its place as the fifteenth release under Fauna Reve’s main collection. Both artists have paved their way through some international electronic music labels such as Duro Label, Veneno, I Low You and Logical Records, with them also recently working together in the track “Neptune Lullaby” for whypeopledance’s compilation 'WhyPeopleWar - Fundraiser for Ukraine vol.1 & vol.2'.

A journey through some of electronic’s most intriguing passages and endeavors, full of hypnotizing cosmic paraphernalia, Morphism lifts off with “Axis Tilt Winter”, an opener track which perfectly settles the album’s whole atmosphere: dark, mysterious rhythms meeting with synthesizers of a glowing, metallic shine. “Beta Morphism” carves deep into the mind with its powerful percussions and sharp edge synths, while “Taipanic Bite” makes its way with a glowing and scheming exploration of depth and bass.

The trip nears the end with the powerful, percussion-driven “Treeball Alpaka”, a track that sculpts a tight passageway of metallic, futuristic sounds and haunting voices with a sense of menace, and finally settles down with an upbeat, lively remix of this last track, like the enactment of a last-minute escape at the speed of light, out of the mind and hands of Coast2Mago, one of Mexican DJ Theus Mago’s many monikers now with modular producer, coast2c.

Morphism, a work of A-Tweed & Oltrefuturo, and Fauna Reve’s newest release, is a piece that takes glowing movements out of the darkest corners of the night, and won’t pass undetected by connoisseurs of these phenomena. It will be available and ready to add to your collection starting December 9.

Spanish-based pair None Sounds are ethnic Uyghurs, a Turkic ethnic group native to Xinjiang, China. The duo mix up a wide spectrum of futuristic sounds and simple grooves, melding analog and modular sound systems with live instruments and modern electronic production techniques to make for profoundly deep tracks with a multidimensional sound. They have self-released much of their own music since 2015 but now land on Julien Princiaux's eclectic Airfono label.

This stellar work takes Matteo Pepe aka Uabos to one more step towards big stages, certifying his artistic maturity. The man has always been a "club" disc-jockey and here he has shown his love for the glamorous disco atmospheres and aesthetics.

We have always believed in the fusion from past and present, from acoustic and electronic sounds and Matteo too: so it's clear for us a good part of the future will come from that and it was almost natural to work together.

Originals sound powerful, moreover the remixers' throbbing drum machines and hypnotic heavy synthesizers further bolster Uabos' message, turning a personal A-side into a B-side banger.
A few less than 30' record that feels simply too short and it definitely "goes”: an incredible work of club-focused electronic music that sum perfectly Uabos' style and his love for the dancefloor. It's showtime.

*We also release a digital remixes package of this new release featuring the italian legend dj/producer Marco Dionigi and the young but respected talent Amarcord.
