Westival Records debut release is here! Delivering WEST001 is Apricot Ballroom co-founder and certified autophile party-starter, Nonna Fab.

Producing a 3 track EP 'Girls', his Original Mix comes through with an audacious sample from Sweet Pussy Pauline, Chicago's late 80s house icon, whose quick-witted vocals over synthy sounds give way to the funkiest of basslines. The dipping and reintroducing of a disco-synth melody alongside bongo sounds within the percussion cultivate a track you can't help but groove to.

The 'Special Mix' lives up to its name and takes the track up a notch, with a hard-hitting, progressive beat that turns spacey through the waves of melodic sounds recognisable from the original. With its surprising keyboard interludes, this floor-stomper is certainly meant for smokey D-floors and laser beams.

'Swales' Late Night Garage Mix' delivers a syncopated drum pattern using simple chords for an uplifting feel before transcending into a smooth musical texture between the piano and sax, complemented by a looping drum which emulates an airy future-garage beat throughout. Just as you begin to envisage the sun setting somewhere, echoed vocals float in and out of the track whilst the piano moves around freely, adding to the Sax's jazzy sound.

Premiere: 291outer space - Transcendence (A recital on Beatless)

We are proud to present the second album by 291outer space, the electronic side project of the well-know italian jazz-funk band 291out alongside sound engineer Ivan “Flyme” Cibien.

This new work plays tribute to a variety of legends of Kosmische Muzik and Sci-Fi world (among all, Vangelis, Shulze, Jarre, Parson, Moroder, Carpenter) re-imagining the sound in a contemporary key, therefore tradition and innovation are united in the search for a future’s Disco that is utterly to be discovered yet.
Clean drums, insistent bass-lines, spacey synthesizers and a lonely guitar compose a mistyc release enriched by an ethereal voice and shimmering flutes. The homeland musical heritage of the group definitely soaks the album with a distinctive groove alongside the oniric beatless moments.

*The track which opens and closes the disc in its two different arrangements, "Transcendence Rain Forest", is a
poetic and philosophical interpretation of the origin of humanity and the ultimate meaning of life, an invitation to flee from our uncertain destiny and apocalyptic post-pandemic present to reconnect with the cosmic flow of the planet. A resounding exhortation to go “beyond” the here and now.

As Brame & Hamo wrapped up their last tour in Australia, the duo decided to release a two track ep that has been in hiatus for over 2 years. Both tracks were heavily played in their sets prior and have been highly requested since. No Strangers & Mountains are a final send off of their euphoric and trancey sound that they formed through their 8 years together. A fitting and appropriate end for the duo that brings up feelings of nostalgia and sentiment as they enter a new stage in their careers.

The absolute Don of Italo piano house, Don Carlos brings his legendary sound to RNT with an EP of classic floor fillers. Don (Carlo Troya) and S-Tone (Stefano Tirone) released two records on Bologna label Calypso in the early 90s under the artist name Montego Bay. Incredibly, the 4 tracks on this EP were also produced 30 years ago, then shelved and forgotten about until recently when a connection with RNT inspired Don to dig up their rare vintage! From pumping melodic house jams like Music All Night and Waited So Long, to sampled disco house cuts Keep Dancing the Boogie and Gotta Keep Dancing, this EP is a veritable time capsule, dripping with the swag and sonics of the golden era of 90s club music.
