Join us on Saturday 16th August at Inverted Audio Record Store in Peckham for an all vinyl session from @verdant-recordings label boss Andy Green to celebrate the release of 'Rain on Window' from Istanbul-based producer @havantepe.   

Consisting of three solo tracks and two remixes, 'Rain on Window' blends minimal dub techno with atmospheric electronics, primed to enthral the most discerning of listeners.

The free to attend in-store event commences at 6pm and ends at 9pm. We’ll have copies of ‘Rain on Window’ on sale at the in-store, so be sure to join us for a dance!

Bleaching Agent: The 'Altered Currents' Mix

Born in the South and based in the North, Gus is a British producer who makes music that sounds Italian. If that's not confusing, he also makes Detroit-influenced Techno as Emotive Systems.

Confusion aside, his productions and DJ sets are approachable, fun, and, most importantly, danceable. Good energy music that doesn't take itself too seriously, just like Gus.

Tokyo resident and Jansen Jarden honcho Max Essa has been making music since the early 90's, he has produced tracks and remixes for labels like Paper, D-Vision, Bear funk, Nang and Tirk... His own solo work, Midnight Garden and Continental Drift feature not only his production work but his elegant guitar playing. (as does his remix of Apollo Heights!) Back to the Beach released from Continental Drift was a huge record and is emblematic of Max's cosmic and crisp production style. In addition to his playing and producing Max is also a serious DJ as his guest set here shows.

UK underground legend Richard Sen's career spans over 20 years of DJ & production work. One of the first wave of serious UK train graf writers, Richard gained notoriety with his musical projects Padded Cell and Bronx Dogs. He has also done production and remix work for LCD Soundsystem, Bryan Ferry, Saint Etienne and The Jungle Brothers amongst others. Richard is an amazing DJ who's style has a dark soulful and psychedelic edge that comes through in the broad range of music he plays. (I had him play my birthday party, he's friggin awesome!) Bartellow has long been associated with the ESP Institute through Tambien, a trio formed alongside Bavarian cohorts Marvin and Valentino, who have released seminal dancefloor material over recent years. With his debut album Panokorama, we are invited into a completely different world of Bartellow's creation-a place where influences become a melting pot of mood, nuance and texture, and where instrumentation is abstracted from a variety of cultures, including those that exist solely within his imagination. 
Bartellow has found a way to merge Primitivism with Retrofuturism, identifying their point of intersection and reveling in their union across ten songs. While his academic background as a Jazz musician certainly informs both his progressive approach to composition and non-linear production, it is his obsession with electronics and synthesis that shape his current musical climate. 
The title Panokorama stems from Bartellow's visualization of the album, a surreal landscape with a foreign presence centrally embedded, a "panorama" punctuated by a "ko"-although a hybrid word that reads as nonsense, it somehow feels and sounds just right
