The clouds passed by ever so slowly as he watched from the window of the aeroplane. It were as if they had been painted atop a dense blue backdrop, a constant presence against which they might float. He knew that they must move, burst or vanish at some point but for now they were happy floating above the noisy world below, happy in ignorant bliss of the wild west down there.

There was something to be said about the sky, for the birds found it to be home, a place to escape when things get a little too loud.

As they weaved and wandered between the clouds, he wondered if it might be better to stay up here, rather than return to earth.

Ludwig A.F. features on a splendid compilation celebrating twenty five years of Live At Robert Johnson. The longstanding record label and club remains a stalwart of the underground and the compilation sees them invite friends and family to contribute to the ever progressive sound that the Frankfurt institution has become known for.

Justin Depth is the moniker of artist and co-label head of Image Research, Justin Myers. As a catch-all for his many different creations as producer and performer, his sound has touched on a near-infinite array of electronic sounds like IDM, ambient, drone, techno, broken-beat, downtempo, and many others. As 1/2 of the duo Alien House, he has also helped lay the foundation for a prolific output, most notably their most recent album ‘You’, a stunning display that exists in the cross-sections of futurist-leaning electronica.

Amidst a cloud of digital one-offs and concept-driven collected works, emerges the first physical Justin Depth offering to date, ‘Wired’. Engineered and realized through various tactile and interfacing methods, the 5 track EP is a crisp and tectonic offering, showing a keen attention to detail and a deep appreciation for beat-driven atmosphere. “Die Realität” is in the same cosmic spirit but they dropped inside a great Dance rhythm. Piano and trance pads pass the buck and join forces with precision.

WPP stands for Witness Protection Program, a space for artists to bathe in anonymity. To release music that they wouldn’t be able to release otherwise. It's the non-official Worldwide Peace Project.

Ecstatic Peace is more than a musical offering — it's a proposition that peace and ecstasy can coexist on the dance floor. These tracks portray a yearning for better times, serving as both wishful thinking and a coping mechanism for producer Davin Varda.

Compelled to channel his frustration with the current state of affairs into a more constructive effort, Varda has created two powerful tracks. Russian duo "Panorama Channel" are back on Biologic Records with "Jigsaw Lovers Club" featuring two remixes from Berlin based "Aera". After releasing on "Innervisions" and John Talabots "Hivern Discs" last year Aera is well placed to provide 2 stellar remixes.

Panorama Channel debuted on Biologic, the label belonging to Abstraxion and DC Salas, in 2016 with Chloe’s Dream and on this latest EP the pair continue with their ambition of creating emotional and contemporary electronic music.

Atmospheric percussion builds in intensity until the bass drum kicks on the first track, 'Jigsaw Lovers Club'.The track continues to swell with an undulating synth melody.‘Teacher’ is a straighter dance floor heater, without the swelling emotion of 'Jigsaw Lovers Club’ the track is able to maintain a hypnotic rolling line until a vocal sample brings in the melody. ‘Jigsaw Lovers Club Aera remix’ has a paired down introduction, drums and percussion reach a small crescendo before breaking down into a minimal and emotive beat.The synth line becomes squelching acid 303’s before abruptly returning to a minimal break. Finally Aera delivers another remix of the same track, he maintains the loopy top lines whilst eliminating the bass.
