From Jersey all the way to NYC, The Josh Craig describes himself as a musical scientist, tapping into often unfathomable or lesser recognised mental needs within his music. As an all-round creator, he is immersed in his work as a designer, publisher, illustrative artist, photographer, film-maker, music producer, DJ… the list could go on. 

Recognising the dancefloor as a place of relocation, an integral space for human beings to learn about oneself, The Josh Craig sees the existence of dancefloors everywhere. Not just in clubs, but in the living room or kitchen of a friend, on the driveway or even in the supermarket aisle; we’ve all been there. His debut album ‘Who We Are As People’ is made purposefully to offer the headspace for us to explore anywhere, anytime.  

In making this body of work, he acknowledges how the process opened him up to identify with emotions and thoughts that may have otherwise been ignored. This fact culminates in an album that is part a journey within self, but also an offering to others to begin their own, aiding them on their way. Moving through different speeds, genres and sound textures, The Josh Craig dives into the concept of Sound Healing across the album.

Informed by the composition of jazz and orchestral music, along with the raw mixing techniques found in reggae, dub-reggae, traditional chilean and even new wave, ‘Who We Are As People’ sees attention to detail come alive within his preference for atmospherics. This album pairs down the technicalities of the aforementioned genres with the best parts of ambient, minimal techno, electro and breaks. Using completely raw analogue methods, The Josh Craig plays out each album track in full takes, imagining the finished piece as if it would be played with a live band. ‘Who We Are As People’ sees an artist who does not mimic certain sounds, rather focusing on technique and a belief in sound as a deeply healing entity.

Andy Ded was an English artist who was living in Paris in the mid 80's. 

The only trace of his work is this EP called "Summer Nightmares and Lazy Dogs" mixing industrial music with a Post-punk attitude.
Notwithstanding a danceable appeal, the release did not gain access to an audience more attracted by the emerging french Cold Wave scene.

This reissue is accompanied by a mutant Tolouse Low Trax Rework featuring additionals lyrics and vocals. With the help of some friends (Laura Lippie and Gwen Jamois aka Iueke), he adds a deviant Laurie Anderson atmosphere to the original track.

Brussels-based record label Fuego En Casa announces the release of Miguel Gil Tertre's fourth EP 'Maran Atha', to be released on April 22th. 

Miguel Gil Tertre, born in Spain but based in Brussels, is going to release new four music pieces composed with real instruments (guitar, drums and piano) and mastered by Rafael Anton Irisarriv at Blackknoll mastering. This EP is like a small book and tells a story, it's about the healing power of music. The photograph that illustrates the cover and the videos are taken from a trip in Siria in 2007, in the cities of Palmyra and Aleppo. The landscape of the desert inspired the music. Maran Atha is an expression in Aramaic about hope meaning 'come, our lord'.

Configurations Of Self off-shoot, Life Scripts welcomes back head honcho Alexander Church and James Welsh as Common Factors, as the pair deliver their second EP, ‘Perversions Of Loss’.

Title cut ‘Perversions Of Loss’ is a shimmering slice of entrancing electronica, delving deep with a medley of playful strings, breaks and distorted low-end frequencies. ‘Inference’ focuses on warped basslines, swirling synths and floating melodies all sitting upon a rolling break. Next up, ‘Existential Truths’ offers five and a half minutes of jungle influenced nostalgia, as we see Church and Welsh enlist off-kilter drums alongside trippy effects and oscillating synths. To close, ‘Escape Hatch’ is a raw and wonky techno track that perfectly marries the elements of light and dark. This latest EP highlights why Common Factors have been picking up love from the likes of Tom Ravenscroft on BBC6 Music, Ransom Note and a raft of top DJs.

Forthcoming with another release is one of Fantastic Voyage’s founding members, Danny Goliger. In early 2021 the music producer, audio engineer, and instrumentalist will present his debut album, “Meaningful Pursuits” on the label. The forthcoming IDM full-length consists of 11 tracks and represents his personal growth as an artist and individual.

Goliger has captured some personal trauma and placed it into melodies, chords, and synths. These melancholy sounds are reflective of his healing from these wounds. When speaking about recording the album at that time in his life, Danny describes feeling like a broken computer simulation – glitchy and fragmented, which comes full circle as you listen to the record. His long-time musical collaborator, Benny Bridges, created generative visualizers for each track that also help convey this notion.

Deeply passionate about electronic music hardware, Goliger recorded this album at his studio in Echo Park using his analog synths, drum machines, and hardware samplers. Featuring a heady blend of experimental IDM/Electronica, the album pays homage to his musical heroes including Aphex Twin, Autechre, Floating Points, Skee Mask and Proem to name a few. His penchant for audio engineering is on display, with this glitchy record showcasing a technical precision that blends seamlessly with his strong musical compositions.

Although this is the first solo LP for the Los Angeles producer, Danny is a prolific collaborator, producing and engineering on many diverse projects that span numerous genres. As a seasoned musician with many years under his belt, he can also be seen playing keys and drums in the Fantastic Voyage band and music-directing for Mija’s live shows.

It’s the firmest of fixtures in the Selador schedule, you know the score by now – there’s gold in them there Showcases. And it’s lucky number 13 this time as we celebrate the label’s 8th birthday with our latest six-pack of turbocharged goodness.



As is our way, it’s another thoroughly international affair kicking off with an Anglo/Germanic collaboration made in Seladorian Heaven, as label boss (job share) Steve Parry teams up with Marc DePulse, a veteran of several previous Selador releases. ‘Lokalmatador’ will firmly ensconce itself in your head, as a central riff and rock-solid percussion keep it rooted, allowing all sorts of madness to ensue.



We then cross the border to France where the ever-prolific Dorian Craft awaits. Dorian debuted on Selador with ‘Pleia’ back on Showcase 6 and we are delighted to welcome him back with the hypnotic throbbing chugger that is ‘Kiyora’, where a melon twisting riff duels with Dorian’s trademark ethnic-influenced vibes.



Heading South, sometimes the song title of an instrumental electronic track can perfectly convey its mood and that’s certainly the case with the Selador debut from the blossoming FKA Mash. The South African producer who we’ve been carefully tracking for some time brings us ’Starlit Desert’, a thing of real understated beauty, beautiful synths swathing, underpinned by a sumptuous groove.



Four tracks in, and we welcome Danish duo Baime back to Team Selador for the first time since 2019’s well-received mix of Animal Trainer’s ‘Amaron’. New production ‘Kaimo’ is one for the dark recesses of both minds and dance floors, enticing you to partake of a dose of hedonism.



The next destination on our whistle-stop world tour of electronic production talent is Lebanon where another debutant Atribut delivers the intense ‘You Gave Me Love’, a heady brew that builds and builds ‘til going full acidic as the vocal refrain gnaws into your brain.



Finally, we finish with a trip to Italy for another very welcome label returnee, Paul Ursin, whose mix of techno and house has graced many a fine imprint. As with ‘Starlit Desert’, ‘Seaflight’ is aptly named, an epic electronic deep dive no doubt inspired by Paul’s Sicilian homeland.



And with that, we raise a celebratory toast to Seladorian’s everywhere on the milestone of our 8th anniversary. Thank you as always for your continued support. Here’s to the next 8 and beyond.
