This forthcoming Tanzbar release from Far Out Radio Systems is no different. Two tracks designed for big rooms, paired with two IDM productions, but all carry that charateristic soul of FORS tracks, tough drums and emotive, careful synth programming. “Muskoxen” is just that - calm, reassuring pads sit over bubbling drums somewhere north of 170 bpm.

Heading from his own True Rotary Recordings (co-run with Ena Cosovic), Be As One and recently showing appearance twice on BROR Records sub-label Lilies - Joel Alter presents a diverse three track EP on BROR Records with “BROR07” under his techno alias Jor-El.

The A-side holds the highly effective “In Ur Face” with broken percussions. A track with a daring arrangement that half way through imposes dark energy through the moody bass line and a relentless four to the floor kick work.

On the B-side Jor-El brings the emotive “In Ur Mind”, a perfectly crafted atmospheric techno cut followed by the energetic off-kilter outro “Spectrum”- techno stripped to its bare essentials.

On four pastie-flaked tracks we're slowly enveloped in waves of euphoric pad work, cut-up ratcheting UK breakbeat, furiously choppy rhythms, melodic and winding arpeggios, and texturally complex ambient drones. Stu back in the driving seat and taking us on a trip back through the 90's. 'BBC 2 darts at midnight'-level weaponry!
