With 4 releases under their belt and more to follow, it clearly shows the alliance between Hunter/Game and the Icelandic band Kura, can do no wrong. Their band, Landside, is now primed to get an accompanying remix EP following up from ‘Signs of Change’ and ‘Desert Lake’.

Drawing their inspiration from a cumulation of music that inspires them, they call up a diverse selection of artists to the task, which present an astonishingly coherent vision. From the stormy modulated chords of Robert Hood and trickling pads crafted by Etapp Kyle, to the dystopian narratives expressed by Bambounou and Edanticonf, the re-visionings provide additional star-power to what is already a fine, shimmering series.

@uponyourecords verbindet Menschen. Das beste Beispiel dafür ist die EP namens „Follow The Machines“, die bereits am 8. März 2017 erschien. Die Kollektion wurde in Kollaboration zwischen Sylvain Soulier und Joseph Thomas Price kreiert, die unter ihren Pseudonymen @thirdsonuk und @darlynvlys besser bekannt sind. Neben drei Original-Songs umfasst die EP einen Remix vom Produzenten-Gespann @eins_tiefer. Nico Bulla und Vincent Probst, die sich hinter dem Alias verbergen, wollten anfangs den Remix mit mehr Zug nach vorne gestalten. Rausgekommen ist dabei ein Acid-Remix der nicht richtig gepasst habe. „Beim zweiten Versuch sind wir etwas reduzierter an die Sache herangegangen, was sich letztendlich bewährt hat“, so das Duo. Darlyn Vlys’ hit ‘Runner’ was last year’s highlight on Polymath. Reaching the top 10 in it’s genre and gaining support from industry stalwarts, we thought what better way to celebrate than with a fresh batch of remixes.
Heading the pack is label kaiser Third Son, offering a broken beat variation on the theme. The additional vocals, generated through a Roland vocoder, pushes the futuristic concept to the next level.
Following is Correspondant/Permanent Vacation artists, Zombies in Miami. The low slung feel is a welcome addition to the package, and one that suits the early morning sets.
Polymath favourite Anii completes the remix package with a highly playable and energetic take. The acid lead- line compliments the original melody perfectly resulting in a peak-time roller.

Six months after the first volume, not for profit label Sinchi, which donates all proceeds to support the preservation of indigenous culture, follows up with the second edition of their Altered States compilation. This is an essential collection of this well-minded label’s broad array of sounds from red hot producers all over the world.

Nein Records’ Carolain Luf has gained a lot of attention for her eclectic sets over the last 10 years and is a resident of the Olympe party series at Griessmuehle, Berlin. Her standout production ​here is underpinned by a warped bassline and subtle acid undulations that slowly add up to an epic trip. Germany's Heidenreich is a debut artist who says the inspiration for this one came from "an after-hours where I found a documentary about the invention of radio. I made it with my Korg MicroKorg, a Minilouge, guitar and some VSTs." The result is an intergalactic broadcast, a cosmic communication with a faraway planet made up of gurgling lines, analogue sounding drums and hits and plenty of muffled spoken word samples.
