Co-founder of grassroots rave collective Fast Forward Productions, Sugar drops four-track EP ‘Everything Changes’ with Bassiani Records: a confident rallying cry fitting for the future his Danish crew is fervently building. Intro ‘Dismal Supper’ is a layered beast with a bellicose bassline cut with sinister whale song. The EP’s namesake a looping, metallic and agile production while its successor, ‘May the Colours Make You Fearful’, mixes Vangelis-style synths and assertive rhythm to strange industrial effect. Fast-Forward’s very own Schacke accelerates the EP’s opening track and lends it an atmospheric touch for closing. ‘Everything Changes’ is a pulsating release which spans moods yet holds true to Sugar’s signature dancefloor sound.

We premiere a track from the good people at Artaphine, who announce their label debut with a Various Artists compilation, featuring 10 up-and-coming artists or artists they want to help shed some light upon. 

You probably first heard about the Artaphine crew from capturing some of the biggest moments in dance music events on camera, from some of the wildest parties in Europe. If you're even vaguely into techno and on social media, you've 100% watched their club footage. 

The crew also run their Artaphine SoundCloud, premiering tunes and boasting an exceptional mix series, featuring some of the finest underground DJs and producers within the scene. Now, the crew make the step into label music, as they get ready to launch their Artaphine Record label.

The focus of our label is to find that balance to bring more passionate, creative minds to the broader public, as we have always tried by showcasing videos from various events and concerts.

Kicking off the VA, Tom Place creates a soothing mixture of electro and breaks where pads take the centre stage. A squelchy electro baseline is accompanied by warm euphoric pads and funky electro rhythm. The track is suitable for the club but, also works as perfect home listening.

Delsin is pleased to welcome a true pillar of the contemporary techno scene, Answer Code Request (@answercoderequest), for his first EP in six years.

As an integral part of the Ostgut Ton family since breaking through some 10 years ago, Patrick Gräser has shaped a patient but potent discography which embodies the hybridised nature of techno in the 21st Century. His distinctive style of melodically embellished, subtly fractured body music helps define the contemporary zeitgeist, but it also moves with enough emotional maturity to stand on its own terms as compelling, artist-led electronic music.

Arriving some four years after his second LP Gens, the Shattering EP opens in an especially exploratory mode as Gräser teases elements of breakbeat and ambient techno on the spellbinding ‘Resonate’. ‘Shattering’ finds a different palette through which to explore broken rhythms, leaning in on a heavyweight bassline injected with rave-wired distortion. There are more linear techno pulses to be found in the tunnelling propulsion of ‘CRS-21’, but in the interests of contrast the EP closes with the sparkling refraction of ‘Sustaining Life’, a floor-ready masterclass in electronica with teeth.

Ellen Allien and the We Are Not Alone collective are back with a second edition of the We Are Not Alone series. A 36-track compilation split into 3 parts, each consisting of 12 cuts, dedicated to the infamous We Are Not Alone event series and the best of Berlin’s underground techno talent.

Ellen Allien's innovative party series We Are Not Alone was launched in 2016 and remains committed to inviting an exciting crew of artists to perform at the 36 hour events, now in a new home at RSO.BERLIN, where they returned with bang over 36 hours and 3 floors in May.

The We Are Not Alone compilation features artists that have played at the parties, as well as those who will join the line-up for future events. The 4th, 5th and 6th parts include music by Ellen and established names such as Thomas P. Heckmann, Dollkraut & DJ Europarking, Francois X, Phase Fatale and Etapp Kyle. Rising stars Nene H, Nur Jaber, Stephanie Sykes, Wallis and Métaraph. BPitch signings include Rosa Anschütz, Shaleen, Matasism and Uncrat.

For this instalment of the series, Ellen Allien collaborates with esteemed director and photographer Stini Roehrs for the multidisciplinary project ‘’AFTER DARK – Emotional States of Techno’’, consisting of a virtual rave film, book and exhibition produced by AKKURAT Studios, and the We Are Not Alone VA, which is to be released physically and digitally via BPitch.

The next We Are Not Alone parties take place at RSO, Berlin in July, August and October of this year. 22nd July, CSD weekend, is set to be a single night event on two floors. 20th August a We Are Not Alone floor during the RSO Club Festival and then we’ll be back for over 30 hours on 15th & 16th October. PREMIERE :  Etapp Kyle - Moveon

Oscean comes out firing from the outset on their new 12" entitled Multirays. The Argentinian duo of Andrés Zacco and Sebastian Galante are following up on the first release of their collaboration, Ideoma, also released on Tresor Records. With Multirays, this burgeoning collaboration reveals a promising evolution, moving into more rhythmically diverse environments and playful structures.

The opening track, Multidimensional, strikes with confronting beats and a searching, woolly bass sound. Constantly growing, it moves confidently with its skittering percussion work, ebbing and flowing through filter movements and expansive synths. Invisible Rays draws in breathing techno pulses, as Zacco and Galante cast drenches of feedback across the spectrum. A deceptively mellow melody, recalling Spiral from their debut EP, teases at a deeper melodic progression, but the focus stays locked on the animated rhythms, tempting towards divergent grooves but expertly keeping feet on the floor.

In Drivion, Oscean investigates electro territories, simultaneously bubbling and driving. Echoed arpeggiations and upfront beats funnel impulses between neurons. Broad synth gestures offer gateways into abstraction before, without barely a hint, the rhythms beat once more. On the closing track, Horisonsz, the duo drive forth through skipping rhythms and soul-searching bass murmurs. Synth pads beckon with fresnel lens reflections and rising warmth, motioning towards a stunning moment of euphoria, where futurist mirages coexist with distant memories.

Ute.Rec and Amniote Editions team up once again, for another collaborative fundraiser release. With 16 tracks, spanning from psychedelic and melodic scanditrance to trippy and tribal techno cuts.
