Two of the most promising producers of the so-called Indie Dance/Dark Disco scene joined forces to deliver the forthcoming release of the respected label Espacio Cielo: Lucare (SXDNS175) and Aurum Miles present “Demonomania”, a devilish and intense EP featuring two spirited originals and three lively remixes provided with love by an international selection of top-notch artists: Mexico-born/France-based Leonor (SXDNS034), Spanish Lebollet (RASTROLIVE004) and Belgium duo Marching Machines.

According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, “demonomania” can be defined as “a delusion of being possessed by evil spirits”. The condition has surely not affected the lads but the same cannot be said of their synths: The sonority they conveyed sounds fiendish and infernal – undoubtedly, the dance floor will say thanks!

Premiered here, Leonor’s crushing remix of “Taste Of Your Mushroom”: In his interpretation, the mayor of Tournus opted for a darker instead of a more percussive (and characteristic) atmosphere, investing in a fatter bassline and ominous synth layers – the dance floor will also certainly say thanks!

Year 2021 @complaintkulture was born and ready to deliver future classics without the B sides. The Budapest based imprint run by @mulyamusic and Sobek, the labels first release called Bella Fortima EP contains two pretty strong peak time bangers.

MULYA is the type of producer can write the same track time-by-time again with little changes, Bella Fortima sounds as an exception. This is a very well done tune flying somewhere between business melodic and mexican freestyle, We can analyze the synths and drum programming deeper, but it might be boring these sunny summer days. You will burn the floor when give it a chance, no question.

Bulletdodge Records release Michael Greig & Gareth Whitehead’s remixes of ‘It Goes’ this July by Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselić's band Giants in the Trees. Giants in the Trees are a Northwest US band from rural Wahkiakum County —with definite connections to the Seattle music. The band was formed by former Nirvana bassist and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Krist Novoselić (who plays bass and accordion), Jillian Raye (Vocals, Bass & Banjo), Erik Friend (Percussion) and Ray Prestegard (Guitars). 

Bulletdodge founder Gareth Whitehead who founded the label in 2007, has a vast amount of experience in the electronic music scene and teams up with label signee Michael Greig to release two breathtaking remixes of the original. The pair previously worked together on a track entitled ‘About Time’ as part of The Brood collaborative album project and was subsequently remixed by 808 State. 

The ‘Transitional Remix’ is a chugging, low-slung cut adding hypnotic pads and crunchy fx above the glistening vocals, whilst the ‘Distillation Remix’ lays focus on cosmic energy and wave-inspired atmospheres.

PREMIERE : Giants In The Trees - It Goes (Greig & Whitehead's Transitional Remix)

Selection for my friends Thomass Jackson & Iñigo Vontier from @calypsorecs, which is a home for @plot_pilot music - my project with Tumosa.
Mix was inspired by the first gig after 8 months break at 313 Cable park in Palanga (shouts to all the dancers - you were amazing!), selected in the sky, while flying all over the Europe and finally finished in a small beautifull town of Deià in Mallorca. It contains lots of my favorite vinyls and some of the new digs - 
perfect introduction to the sounds you can expect to hear me playing this summer. Hope you’ll enjoy - see you soon in the dancefloors.

Dutch-native Tjade marks his maiden release on These Eyes this July with the two-track Balancing Act EP. It continues a standout 2021 for the young talent, which has seen him release on Live at Robert Johnson already this year.
Balancing Act leads the charge, taking no prisoners with a gritty, acid-flecked bassline. Chilling chords soon converge upon uplifting synth rolls, to form a well-balanced dancefloor cut. Means To An End brings things to a close, a near six-minute number that pulls deeply on the heartstrings as soothing pads merge with hard-hitting percussion throughout.
Tjade is one of the most exciting prospects to come out of the Netherlands in recent years. Regularly gracing established labels in the form of Live at Robert Johnson, Mule Musiq and many more besides, several of electronic music’s most-esteemed have picked up his productions in recent years. Most notably is 2019’s Koi Jaye, a track that springboarded him into the global spotlight thanks to plays at DGTL, Dekmantel and AVA by the likes of Palms Trax, Job Jobse and Hunee to name a few.

Pure energy shines through our latest compilation, where all producers gathered together for a good cause. Lockdowns and social distancing practices are slowly easing up in the luckier half of the world, yet local producers and clubs are still facing a hard ongoing period of no live shows with a non-existing club culture. As a result, web-based platforms are more important than ever.

The Lahmacun community radio is an integral part of our Budapest scene, as they provide a remarkable online platform not only to musicians and DJs, but to local broadcasters, hosts and music enthusiasts alike. Keeping up the spirit, Lahmacun radio is eager to promote and celebrate music from the local Hungarian scene and from passionate labels, collectives and communities, be it anywhere in the world.

This 20-track fundraising compilation is therefore dedicated to Lahmacun radio. It is presented by 10 local and 10 international producers, hailing from the Netherlands, United Kingdom, Greece and Israel. All of us worked and participated in this compilation to help the operation of this very important platform. All income we receive from sales of this V/A goes to support their work.

The plans were set; the flights had been booked, the house sold and they were existing out of suitcases and cardboard boxes. She painted a smile on most of the time and pretended this was the life she'd wanted all along. Perhaps it was... Or maybe she'd just tricked herself into believing that after faking it for so long. This wasn't her dream, it was someone else's — it was the wrong dream. 

Other Goodness kickstarted their label earlier this year with an inaugural release from our RSN family member Bawrut. Now their returning for instalment number two: a debut vinyl release from French producer Margee. Having remixed Tommy Guerrero last year for Copenhagen's Music For Dreams, this EP represents his first complete work which flaunts warm, dense grooves peppered with twinkling melodies. These originals get the remix treatment on the flip from Futureboogie alumni DJ Nature and one half of ALFOS, Sean Johnson under his inimitable Hardway Bros alias.

August sees X-Kalay return to where it all began with a very special record from founding X-Kalay artist, Kask. Although relatively quiet on the release front since his X-Kalay EP dropped in January 2016, Andreas has been keeping himself busy helping establish Tallinn as one of the most forward thinking and underrated electronic music communities in Europe. 
 His club "Lekker", which he part owns with a number of other Tallinn based friends and artists, has blossomed over the past 18 months with a consistent flow of on point and progressive bookings ranging from Anthony Naples to Helena Hauf to Willie Burns. The venue deservedly hosted the inaugural Boiler Room Tallinn show in February 2017 and showcased a selection of Tallinn’s local talent; Lekker owners Kask and Dima Disk on the bill. 
Andreas and the Lekker collective also played an important role in Estonia’s incredible Into the Valley festival – hosted on a derelict prison site just outside of Tallinn. Here he shared the stage with heavyweights such as the Black Madonna, Jeff Mills and Craig Richards. Not much time for releasing new records then. 
Thankfully that changes next month with the arrival of ‘Voorst’ on XK009. Shot through with Kask’s trademark introspection and melancholy his second effort for X-Kalay explores the more ambient strains of house and electro.
‘Voorst’ opens the A-side with a deep kick and sparse drums, dreamlike pads giving way to an ecstatic melody that is all breath and decay. The soundtrack to driving the deserted city blocks at 2am with rain coursing down the windshield. Back on X-Kalay for remix duties Rudolf C switches up this ambient masterpiece into a 90s rave banger – straight up club material. 
On the B ‘Silver Surfer’ momentarily ups the ante and takes us on an undulating journey through pulsating basslines, swirling arpeggios and biting hats. Closing things off perfectly and premiered here, ‘Kaamos’ is a stripped back jam full of emotion; a label favourite with a beguiling combination of ambient electro styles and 80s nostalgia. Big!

Due for release in the autumn, Three Years of Shall Not Fade gathers together nine tracks from existing and freshly signed members of the label’s growing family of artists, including Mella Dee, TRP, Loods and Adriyano. 
 The collection was designed to showcase Shall Not Fade’s constantly evolving sound, with the nine featured tracks touching on a wide variety of dancefloor-centric variations of house and techno while adhering to the label’s long-held ethos (“music to make people happy and dance”). It will be the label’s first ever album release and will be released in limited numbers on vinyl, with full colour artwork.  
 One of the headline attractions comes from Skream, who makes his Shall Not Fade debut with “Haunted Seaside Amusements”, a full-throttle affair that combines a thumping, kick-drum driven techno rhythm with moody motifs and a breathlessly beautiful, rising and falling synthesizer melody. 
 
The compilation also boasts label bows from two recent recruits who will be releasing full EPs on Shall Not Fade in 2019. Sometime Omena, Shabby Doll and W&O Street Tracks producer Mella Dee serves up the driving, retro-futurist basement garage of  “Patchwerk”, while Mall Grab collaborator Loods delivers the album’s most overwhelmingly positive cut, the jazz-flecked deep house bliss of “Everytime”. 
 
Another high profile contribution comes from Frits Wentink and DJ Boring, who here follow-up a recent joint EP on Bobby Donny with a first collaborative cut on Shall Not Fade. Their untitled cut is typically eccentric, off-kilter and tons of fun, with manipulated vocal samples, intergalactic effects, jangling pianos and chunky bass wrapping themselves around a swinging, percussive groove. 
 Naturally, the contributions from existing Shall Not Fade family members are equally as impressive. Adriyano kicks things off with the party-starting loop-funk of “The Sturdy Track”, while Lake Haze and Pierre Moritz dazzle with contrasting but equally dreamy slabs of saucer-eyed deep house loveliness.  
 Shall Not Fade’s most storied artist, LK, naturally delivers the goods via the huggable deep house classiness of “Dark Days”, while TRP, who last featured on the label two years ago, returns to round of proceedings with the bustling, techno-tempo hustle of acid-powered lo-fi house workout “Leap In The Dark (Live Mix 2)”.
