"I produced every track on this EP under the influence of some type of psychedelic, mostly LSD. They are long, linear tracks that were composed after weekends of head down dancing in dark clubs, meant to induce the type of trance that comes from repetition and a certain kind of moodiness. They also have a bit of old school House flavor to them, with the looping of mangled 1 bar Disco samples. Per usual with these kinds of tracks, they were in my DJ sets for a couple of years as I fine-tuned them, and I end up getting very attached to them, particularly when other DJ's start asking about them, and then I get to a point where I actually don't want them released! But when Man Power asked if he could release them on Me Me Me, I immediately agreed, as I knew they would be given a sort of care and support that would make me happy to have them released into the world, as opposed to feeling they would just be released into a black hole."​ - @the-juan-maclean

Juan MacLean is a Brooklyn based DJ and producer who has been a defining fixture of the New York and international music scene since his first records on DFA Records in 2002. Juan has produced an extensive catalogue of 12's and LP's, mainly for the record label established by his old friend James Murphy from LCD Soundsystem, DFA Records. 

Following a collaboration between Juan and Man Power under their Juan Power moniker on Life & Death back in 2019, Juan now links up with the UK imprint for a five-track release featuring a remix from Berlin-based Twirl and Fantasy Life boss Alinka.

The 'I Can't Explain' EP showcases Juan's productions' upbeat vibrancy as the funk-infused energy combines with the spirited synths and spacey elements, which includes a bubbling remix from Alinka.

Wind Horse label founder Hamza, returns with another swashbuckling offering on his effusive & eclectic imprint, titled ‘Banjara Series - Mali Edition’, curating a 10-track offering that consisting of summery, ethnic & organic house music with subtle elements of disco inspired by the beautiful country of Mali.

The rolling tides, sun-kissed Landscapes & saharan vibe of the nation is echoed with aplomb as the compilation kicks off in frenetic fashion with ‘Nindjougou’ & ‘Tolon’ Featuring the Legendary musician Bassekou Kouyate and his son Madou Kouyate. Incredibly proficient in diverse styles of house music, Hamza displays his prowess for ethnic instruments with Soumba Soumba, Neon Afro & Ben Kadi. The first half of the package certainly gives listeners an aural smorgasbord of the sonic traits of the African nation, fused with contemporary electronic basslines, percussions & pulsating rhythms that are bound to send dancefloors into a tizzy.

Rolling into part dos, the veteran Indian artist ensures that the Malian palette of sounds does not meander in monotony. ‘Tribal Calling’ is quintessentially African, complete with striking vocals & bouncy basslines. Not shying away from his adopted African roots, Hamza gives “Ben Kadi” a re-treatment in the same vein. Busier and stripped down with stabs of delicate chords make this remix a must have. ‘Timbuktu’ follows suit, a tech-house corker with hypnotic vocals that’s meant for those intense & intimate club moments.

“Mali Tech” can be considered to be the crescendo to this magnificent offering, tailor-made for the big room. Banjara Series (Mali Edition) concludes with the gorgeously constructed “Souleyman Sangara”, complete with uplifting and unreal vocals.

The Anomalistico EP is loaded with great synth harmonies a la Giorgio Moroder Style, with a 21st century character, powerful synth grooves and direct to the soul to take you to a state of trance. Some real lush stuff here on the superb new 'Collective Cuts Vol. 2' EP on @cinthie's 803 Crystal Grooves label. The deepest of pumping warm chuggy techno over flows with undulating, pulsing pad and synth swathes, deft chord stabs, phat kicks and big cymbal rides. Atmospheric as fuck. Brooklyn's HOMAGE returns with its eight release this May, the vinyl-only Stride EP from Demi Riquísimo made up of three Disco infused House cuts.The UK’s producer has been gaining traction over the past few years via a run of releases on his own Semi Delicious imprint as well as remixes for the likes of Chromeo, Elder Island, and HiFi Sean. Here though we see him deliver his first original EP outside of his own label, joining the roster of New York’s HOMAGE, an imprint known for nurturing and exposing rising talent from across the globe even in its relatively early stages itself.‘Makossa’ leads the release with a sun-drenched House feel, fusing a bumpy bass line, resonant synth licks, and swirling vocal chants alongside an organic drum groove before the latter stages ease in a bubbling arpeggio line and emotive string sequences. ‘Stride’ follows next, laying focus on a subtly modulating arp line, guitar noodles, and chopped string samples whilst a swinging rhythm and snaking synth add further fuel to the groove.The EP's closing tune and vinyl only exclusive, ‘Love Russia,’ harkens back to true eighties Disco aesthetics via an amalgamation of funk leaning guitar licks, intricate string melodies, and enchanting synth work.
