Wind Horse Records is back with a groovy, acid-drenched EP from @dirtydirtyfeet, titled “Vitamin Drift” for the second release of this year. The 3-tracker is conceptualized, composed, mixed and mastered by Pete who has been exploring many facets of electronic music since the mid 2000s. The first track is a collaboration between Pete and his older brother @gingembre_music who after a year of studio experimentation, decided to include their most interesting creation in this release, giving its name to the EP.

“Vitamin Drift”: a bouncy, acid-laden tune that gets you hooked right from the time you hit the play button. A nice, chubby bassline greets your ears, interspersed by simple yet eloquent percussions that elevate the vibe. As the track builds, a fleeting pad accompanied by the electric keyboard stabs fill up the spaces nicely and get you swaying right away. This build-up serves as the precursor for the gorgeous acid-lead that follows suit, enamoring you with its beautifully composed, squelchy rhythm. The track powers through with these elements with aplomb. You might find this one difficult to remove from your playlist or record bag! 

Next up on the EP is the deliciously lush track titled “Comets” which is funky and a straight-up classic from the get-go with its bass-guitar lead that’s enough to pique your attention. Towards its first breakdown the track is powered by a wicked bassline and some fantastic retro acid-lines that are enough to transport you to different galaxies of musicality and groove. Simple, yet fluid, “Comets” stays true to its name by delivering an excellent yet evocative experience on any dancefloor you choose. 

To round things up, “Maybe someday”; the 3rd and final track from Pete Dirty Feet can best be described as a feast of acid, served over a spread of oriental melodies and awesome atmospherics that can genuinely leave you swooning over the majesty of its construction. The track kicks things off with a busy kick-drum & percussive intro that prepares the listener for what unleashes soon after. Stabs of heavenly pads and intelligently arranged rhythms give way to a riotous acid lead that’s enough to send many aficionados of the 303-inspired sound into a tizzy they'll never forget. We'll just let the music do the talking on this one!

Pete Dirty Feet - Vitamin Drift EP

The indomitable chief of Wind Horse Records, Hamza Rahimula, returns with yet another incredible work of aural art with the ‘Tibet’ edition of his long running Banjara Series. The 10-track album is a collection of House music works inspired by the spiritual mountain territory with collaborations alongside Tibetan singer-songwriter Yungchen Lhamo & multi-faceted singer, songwriter, and composer from the USA - David Hykes.

The album begins with the track ‘Dakini Tales’ with a catchy-guitar riff that reels you in from the get-go. As the track develops, a simple kick drum coupled with a punchy bassline construct and elaborates the formative parts of the track accompanied with expertly arranged percussions. A light & breezy pad accompanied by samples of euphoric vocals adds more vibe to the tune. 

The second track is aptly called “Wind Horse Rising” & welcomes Yungchen to the WHR family of talented musicians & singers. Meant to make you move, the track has an addictive groove that has psychedelic elements amalgamated with Yungchen’s amazing, energetic voice and mysterious, uplifting atmospheres that could easily paint a sonic picture of snow-capped peaks in the minds of its listeners. 

Next up is the track ‘Surya Love’ which translates to “Sun Love” in English. Staying true to form, the bassline and rhythms are groovy, tight & encased in a proper house music package. Detroit/Chicago inspired organ stabs accompanied by utopian vocals & sounds influenced by the mesmerizing Himalayan Kingdom give form & structure to another awesome original by Hamza. 

‘Karma Tech’ is a fun, bouncy & playful tune that follows next. A proper tech-house dance floor heater, this track is functional and minimal, focusing on groove and flow. A phat bassline and snappy percussion lend a formidable character and persona that gels well with playfulness of the track. Whether it’s for a peak time set or a warm-up, this one is sure to have many takers. 

As we reach midway, ‘Lhama Grooves’ makes its presence felt with its musical alchemy. Combining elements of dub, exotic vocals & that house music throb that we all love, the composition is expertly crafted to deliver a unique dance floor experience. 

Made for intimate after-hours, ‘Lhasa Casa’ from Hamza spews & oozes class as a relentless, acid-tinged zinger that skews a bit toward the darker side. With a tight bassline, hazy & obscure samples coupled with intelligently mixed vocals, this track is one to have in your bag for those late-nights or early mornings. 

‘The Feeling’ is another tune, which is construed to cause dance-floor damage. A phat and heavy bassline takes you & leaves you wanting more with a no-nonsense approach to rhythm and composition. Soft vocals & an acid-influenced bassline make the track more interesting and powerful. 

Hamza returns to his deeper roots with ‘Temple of Shakyamuni’, which is deep, sophisticated & delicious. The track has an underlying tropical vibe along with dubby pads, expansive atmospheres & a slick groove. This one’s fit for all occasions. 

American musician extraordinaire - David Hykes marks his debut on Wind Horse alongside Hamza with “Dusk”. Soulful, groovy, and loaded with influences from Tibet. Expertly layered with organic elements, squelchy synth goodness & scintillating vocals, this one might be on repeat quite a few times. 

‘Enlightenment’ rounds off the Banjara Series LP, as Hamza & Yunchen Lhamo combine once more along with the incredible Niels Lan Doky for a mesmeric and enchanting ambient composition. Yunchen’s voice, beautifully constructed aural soundscapes & subtle elements of jazz lend itself to a track that quite fittingly forms the finale of this album.

Hamza Rehimtula - Banjara Series, Tibet

Wind Horse Records is stoked to have Indian DJ & Producer Manas Ojha aka Ojha G mark his Second release on the label with a funktastic 3-track EP titled “Sweet 16ths”. This one’s definitely going to get dance floors moving in clubs across the world, with aplomb! 

The talented sound smith begins with the title track, a slick, groovy tune that introduces itself with a combination of expertly constructed percussion in conjunction with a bouncy bassline. Quintessentially groovy & tight to a T, this deep house gem carries the listener through a mélange of sounds that complement its bubbly nature. Uplifting transitions coupled with happy and ecstatic stabs give the track more persona and movement, allowing DJs to use this at any given time during their sets for maximum effect. 

Ojha G’s second track “Bittersweet”, a tropical bomba with just the right flavors for DJs to whip up some ‘masala’ on the dance floor. The track boasts of carefully chosen, eclectic trumpet samples that lend a Latin-American vibe to the offering, combined with extremely groovy drums & hats. A mysterious vocal sample gives the track more charm and panache as it builds up further. The playfulness of the trumpets during the breakdowns are sure to have club-goers break out wide faced grins and give DJs plenty of room to tinker with. Mischievous yet funky, this one’s definitely going to be played out quite a bit! 

Rounding things off with a tinge of acid, “Drank” is the perfect house rendition of the minimal style. A straight-forward kick drum, percussion combination is accompanied by subtle acid stabs that increase their presence as the track moves forward. Delicately crafted atmospheres give this tune depth and verve, while carefully curated vocal samples add more playfulness to the composition, elevating its presence. An intimate and low-key breakdown leads to an awesome drop that’s definitely going to pack those club speakers and sound systems with some serious heat.

When it comes to blending traditional instruments from across the world with dancefloor friendly music that sounds nothing like the cliché, Hamza Rahimtula is no stranger and the repertoire that he has is a standing testament of his sonic genius. The ‘Banjara Series’ of albums documents his journey of traversing through global waveforms and after releasing ‘Turkey’ and ‘Mali’, Rahimtula brings in flavours from ‘Spain and South America’, regions and people he has had long time associations with.  

On one hand, he spent his formative college years surrounded by friends from Latin America where he had the opportunity to experience the rich and lively culture surrounding dance and music, especially traditional Latin music; and life changed for him when he first experienced Latin House more than a decade ago. Then on the other hand, he has spent considerable time travelling through Spain over the last 15 years experiencing not only the Spanish country side but also Flamenco music and musicians. Then there is his long term association with Miami based House music label, Dutchie Music, through whom he got to work on remixes that featured real instruments instead of samples. 

Over the years, Hamza has worked with the likes of Juan Mejia and J&M Brothers that has only taken his interest of Latin inspired dancefloor music further. On this release, Rahimtula’s remix of Sazon (Juan Mejia) as well as the Banjara Series Edit of J&M Brothers’ Sabrosura features sultry trumpets and guitar riffs complimented with an ethereal groove that is functional, fantastic, and effective enough to work any dancefloor. 

The compilation kicks off with ‘Los Invisibles’, which drips of summertime flavors & musical notes inspired by the Latin sunshine. The track is playful, combining vocal stabs, organic rhythms & notes of the piano for a perfect opener. ‘Latina’ is playful, energetic & extremely bouncy with a funk-driven bassline powering the track, joining familiar accompanying instruments & elements, making this a secret recipe for dance debauchery. 

With ‘Ritmo Del Amor’, Hamza delivers a soulful yet classically constructed house music tune that has moments of emotional suspension & sections of addictive rhythms. Cleverly layered percussions meet squelches of acid, uplifting vocals & gorgeous guitar strums, making for a proper dancefloor package. Juan Mejia teams up with Hamza once more on ‘Black Sugar’, a quirky track that’s fun & feisty that’s sure to transport anyone on an imaginary trip through the Spanish coastline. ‘Discotello’ brings us in to the second half of the compilation with those nu-disco feels that is intricately curated & masterfully executed.

Loopy Juice follow suit with ‘Namaste Rio’, collaborating with Hamza for and delivering a dubby, daytime destroyer that’s minimal, powerful & definitely rowdy. ‘Gitano’ once again helps one draw an aural picture, with effusive vocals & beautiful melodies. ‘Sky Song’, the final offering in this installment is an ode to the beautiful culture that has graced the world with its musical culture for centuries and is the perfect end to this series.

All in all, through ‘Spain and South America’, Rahimtula is able to offer his interpretation of Spanish and Latin American soundscapes that have made an impact on House music. In his own words, “As someone who has only had the opportunity to experience the regions, people, and culture, my view is an objective one and that of an outsider but I’ve always had an innate desire to pay homage to these amazing and rich in culture parts of the world. ”

Hamza Rahimtula - Latina (Original Mix)

Polish DJ/production duo Tidy Daps, consisting of Tomek Gnarowski (aka Doctor) & Tim Haze, make their much-anticipated debut on Wind Horse Records with a deep, lush & dub-dellic 3-track EP titled ‘Press Zero’.  

The first track titled “Good energy” is all about those feel-good vibes and sensorial tranquility. A simple, yet bouncy baseline compliments majestic, sweeping pads that will transport you aboard their craft of aural imaginations.  A mysterious, yet uplifting vocal adds another dimension to the composition, almost lending it a deeper mysticism. Alluring & enchanting, time passes effortlessly as intelligently layered percussion and a deliciously derived breakdown complete a track that’s a great fit, sunset or sunrise! 

Next up, “Alright” greets us with gentle stabs of piano notes coupled with a catchy vocal that underlines the easy-going attitude of its construction. A second vocal layer introduces itself along with a crisp kick-drum, snare & hat combination that gets you grooving almost immediately. The vocals open up into an emotive yet intimate breakdown, building up a vibe that you can immerse yourself in. The latest release from Wind Horse Records dips once again into India’s fertile deep house movement, this time exposing Mumbai-based DJ / producer Troja to an awaiting global audience. The Shanti EP, consisting of three top notch house tracks, should handily further this goal.

“Shanti” leads the three originals on the EP, instantly mesmerizing with its ringing sitars and vocal chants led forward by a heartbeat-like rhythm. Tabla percussion flourishes and chiming synth melodies add to the deep house cut’s eastern appeal. This sound is expanded with “Ghats”, which adds mystical flute lines and churning layers of percussion to the dance floor equation.The track builds to an exotic bounce as plucked strings and a rising synth drone work to charm the listener. “Mantra” features a deeper, punchier rhythm and intriguing vocals of a magical persuasion. The hypnotic combination of the languid bass line and sparse beats make this one an after-hours treat for intimate venues.

Three fantastic remixes compliment Troja’s addictive originals. Berlin duo Gudio Schneider and Daniel Dreier (Highgrade, Moon Harbour) present their ‘Aztecs Explore India’ remix of “Shanti” which blends the original’s textures into a 14 minute masterwork. The voices and instruments fade in and out of the mix while the remixers’ solid house rhythm and melodic arpeggiation lines confidently anchor the production.

Wind Horse Records’ own Kali G also tackles “Shanti”, going for a dubbier treatment that plays with splashes of percussion and echoed instrumentation to create a satisfying aural journey. Another duo, Bahrain’s Zone+ & Usif, are on hand for a version of “Ghats” that may be the deepest effort on the EP. Calming key pads and hand-drum heavy beats combine with smooth sub-bass and swelling snatches of the original cut. It’s a lovely remix, showing the depth of deep house through its continuing global exchange of sound and ideas.

Wind Horse Records bursts forth once again with another edition of the Indian deep house label’s yearly sampler series. These samplers have served as an exciting platform for showcasing Wind Horse’s more experimental side and to introduce some new producers that will be working with the label. Wind Horse Sampler 6 features eleven deep and exotic house music tracks from up-and-coming artists hailing from South Asia and around the world.

Most of the sampler’s producers are based across India, as Wind Horse works to discover and expose electronic music from within its home country. But, as the label has an eye on the global house movement, artists from Jamaica (David Marston), Russia (Igor Gonya), South Africa (Master Kenton) and Morocco (Kali G) are also included. Wind Horse aims to cover all points of the globe, to show that forward-thinking electronic music can spring from any city or country, whether from somewhere in India or any other as-yet-revealed locale.

Stalvart John opens the compilation on a thoughtful note with “A Dream I Can’t Remember”, setting the mood for this diverse sampler with an ethereal yet somewhat jazzy soundscape. Then on “Ragamuffin” David Marston blends his deep house proclivity with an Indian influence, introducing a siren-like ‘eastern’ female vocal to the swinging four-on-the-floor beats. Igor Gonya (Lisztomania Records) delivers an old school Chicago-sounding house cut named “Morning Cake And Tea”, featuring enough skippy rhythms and staccato chords to get the nightclub jumping. “Cyclic” is a contribution by Mumbai’s Farhan Rehman, and it’s a rolling house number with floaty keys, vocal hits, and creaking percussion. Master Kenton keeps things firmly in his pocket with the mesmerizing “Brain Waves”, a track that touches the sonic pleasure center using its sublime textures. Next up is Hans Séance with the deep and especially dreamy “Paragon of Virtue”. Warm pads, arpeggiations, and bell-like tones flow steadily above a subdued four-on-the-floor beat.

Folic State moves things into the techno realm with “Mashita” and its echoey synth lines, mysterious spoken samples, and sci-fi atmosphere. The growling tech-house of Bangalore’s Synister whose “Eastern Dream” brings a dark mood utilizing busy percussion, transformed vocal hits, and a prominent low end. Tatsama’s “Empathy” follows, with a taste of the deep, exquisitely layered, and punchy house music that Wind Horse is known for. The ‘dream’ theme is revisited by Tasnneem, who states “It Was All Just A Dream” in her bass-heavy but gentle house music exploration. Finally, Wind Horse Records’ own Kali G tackles Troja’s recent track “Shanti”, going for a dubby treatment that plays with splashes of percussion and echoed instrumentation to create a satisfying aural journey.

Wind Horse Sampler 6 continues the high production quality, ambitious musicality, and deep beats that is the label’s hallmark. The collection sets up the fantastic releases yet to come in the next year, and proves Wind Horse Records is one of the big labels to watch.

Wind Horse Records is elated to announce a new EP - Neon Grooves. This is the 33rd EP by Wind Horse Records and the inspiration behind it has been taken from a label showcase that happened in Goa in December 2016. In an effort to spread quality house music across India, the label launched a party called the ‘The Wind Horse Experience’ and the ‘Neon Grooves’ edition in Goa was the first time they had organized an event such as this. The label’s party soon became the place for all house music lovers, especially those searching for a more groovy, funky, and ethnic vibe, complimented of course by Goan sunsets and starry nights. Wind Horse were were thrilled to see the reaction of people to their sound given that Goa is more known for a harder vibe. The line up consisted of DJs that have produced music for Wind Horse over the years and a couple of international guests. After the success of ‘Neon Grooves’ Wind Horse decided to make an EP around this party to remember the magical moment and keep the memory alive. The label invited the artists that performed at the party to borrow from the energy cultivated then and create a beautiful journey to embark on the now.

The EP opens with the dutch maestro Thee J Johanz and his remix of “Agama” by Umeme. A real intricate work of art here with its afro vocal vibe weaved into more raw analog elements that evolve and alternate in the midst of a drum-tastic, exotic, and tribal-influenced disco bomb. “Neon Afro” by Hamza goes deeper into the tropics with the thrilling combination of percussion and drums with a sprinkling of sweet melodic uplifting elements, teleporting the listener to a sunny beach. “Khawatta Ceremony” by Farhan Rehman (Mumbai) and Stalvart John (Bangalore) is a bit harder, a bit darker. This synth-track will have the dance floor grooving with its refreshing vocals and echoey chord progressions. “Antares” (also the name of the place Wind Horse hosted Neon Grooves in Goa) by Troja (Mumbai) is a change of tempo with a beautiful, ethereal sort of sound formed by warm Indian ethnic instruments and meditative melodies. Oma (Delhi) turns his track up with “One Shade Brighter”. A happy bouncy bass with solid vocals teleports the listener back to the beach party, but with a deeper edge. “Whisky Flask” by Nigel Perera (Sri Lanka) changes up the beat with a groovy number consisting of beautiful chords and twisted sounds, the perfect beach-side sunset tune. To end the journey, Priyesh Patil (Mumbai) brings “Vagabond” with smooth beats and beautiful sax samples and a deep bass to guide the floor right into the horizon.

Helmed by Hamza, New Delhi’s Wind Horse Records returns with “Laya,” a collaboration between Zone+ & Usif from Bahrain (the biggest House Music export from the Middle East). Following separate releases on Day I Dream, Underyourskin Records, and Sol Selectas, Zone+ & Usif collaborated on releases for Akumandra/Underyourskin and Talavera Records before collaborating on “Laya”

“Laya” is another in the impressive Wind Horse roster seamlessly melding house music rhythms, traditional instrumentation from Indian and other world music in superlative production standards. The title track is a meandering jaunt through lush soundscapes, deep grooves, percussive and hypnotic house. Haunting flute, keys, and pads weave contemplative strains throughout. “Aria” is a slappy late-night affair with driving bass sounding sonar depths and building slowly with unexpected vocals and polyrhythmic treatments, mounting new surprise midway through the nearly 10-minute opus. Wind horse records is ecstatic to welcome once again, the music messiah that is Kali G. The Moroccan DJ and producer returns to our label with a dazzling 9-track LP called ‘Ethnology’ that explores an endless melodic cosmos. Far from the industrial music this is a 9-track story that depicts a journey into sound that spreads across continents. An album with influences from many cultures of the world, from Egypt, Lebanon to Tanzania and India seeking peace and no division through music.

For Kali, the last year has been a busy year with gigs and family events like the birth of his child to whom Ethnology is dedicated to. In his own words, he tells us that the labor that went into making this album was like putting all the highs and lows of life together through music. As a listener, one is instantly struck by an intensely intimate, surreal, organic and emotive sound palette that has been used for the making of this album. The instruments pool is very varied and rich ranging from old and organic instruments like the ‘oud’ to Indian flutes and tables. These sounds are melded together with alluring vocal arrangements that sample folkloric and classic voices from the Maasai tribes in Tanzania along with a tribute to some of the most known and respected voices in the arabic world like the legends Oum Kaltoum and Nouhad Haddad

Each track is peppered with minimalistic elements, percussions from vintage drum machines and uplifting chords and notes from an array of synths, pianos and violins. Heavy on the senses and deep with simple and hypnotic bass grooves with an ethnic and spiritual touch. Every tracks on this album are potency weapon in any DJs aural arsenal and could be dropped in a variety of scenarios. The laid-back but addictive vibe of each track also make sure to keep listeners coming back for more. 

This release is also personally significant for Kali G, as he uses the positivity of the world as his inspiration to create his music and to spread the message of love, peace and unity.

Kali G -  Lute (Original Mix)

Wind horse records is extremely delighted to unveil our next EP as well as break-out artist Lorand Marton AKA IV-IN from the innovative hubs of contemporary electronic music, Romania.  A resident DJ at a club called ‘Cluj-Napoca’, IV-IN has previous released on the label ‘Local records’ and is also a professional sound designer. His debut EP on our label is titled - ‘Mahtab’ which translates to ‘Moonlight’.

Beginning from the title track of the EP ‘Mahtab’, one is easily enamoured by the intelligently chosen middle-eastern ingredients that the track a mysterious and enchanting aura. The main protagonist in terms of instruments is the ‘Setaar’, a string musical instrument from Iran. IV-IN captures the mild and powerful sides of the Setaar quite effortlessly and layers it over a delicious bassline with a hint of nostalgia. 

The second tune of the 3-track offering is called ‘Prayer’ and could easily find its way into the playlists of artists from across the world. Chunky percussions, smattered with a few stabs of the Seetar and a stirring-vocal sample invokes the beauty of spirituality in music. The sample is a prayer that calls upon protection and healing. According to IV-IN this song is about patterns, repetitions and how to break them like the shamans did in the ancient world of the past. An interesting track that will definitely get a response on any sound system. 

Closing out this divine release is Lorand’s third and final track titled ‘Boko’. As soon as the first bar has completed, you will know that this track is quite special as IV-IN sheds his laid-back template for something that’s raw, addictive and uplifting. Stripped-down and minimal, the track shrouded in dark atmospheric overtones complimented by a gnary bassline. The sample used is inspired from arts of the Voodoo priests and creates a dark feeling around the song and gives it an ironic and glowing energy. The guitar parts in the build-up were played by IV-IN himself. 

The mood of the EP is intended to feel very ritualistic. When Lorand composed them, he had
ancient religions and their connections with nature and other human beings on his mind and wanted to portray this on his own canvas. We are extremely thrilled to have him along with us on our record label and welcome him to the Wind horse family. Hope you enjoy this ep!

IV - IN - Boko (Original Mix)

Wind Horse Records is ecstatic to present our next major release for the year 2018 which comes from veteran DJ & Producer Adel Ghandour aka BiGz (Canada) formerly known as BiG AL in collaboration with DJ/Producer Malkov aka Spring Reason (Russia) and Amir Jashari aka Below Bangkok (Croatia).
The exciting triad joins forces and frequencies to land the 'Eastern Lights' single with remixes from the label's founder Hamza, Morocco's Kali G and Sri Lanka's Asvajit.
The EP is a representative vision of the global influence and fabric that bind the tapestry of music that's released on Wind Horse records. 'Eastern lights' is a gorgeously crafted ethereal deep dub-tech groover that could inspire visions of hypnotic space and the introspection of time. Unhurried and unabashedly laid-back, the track is characterized by a lush, enveloping pad that entrances the listener straight away. The track is complimented by simple yet effective drums & percussions that mirror the groups minimal affinities. The track can be described as an aural trip through the cosmos of space, interpreted by ably by the trio. A subtle and round bassline accompanies the ensemble and makes this a perfect weapon for the early hours and the after-hours.
On remix duties, Hamza renders his own interpretation of 'Eastern Lights' with an alluring, ethnic remix that leans toward the more mystical side of his music making capabilities. The track is more dance-floor friendly but retains its hypnotic influence and Eastern Soul. Hamza's unique individuality and sense for harmonies are easily audible and recognizable. A more than apt vocal sample is layered effortlessly over the vibe and shows itself fleetingly, adding to the lure of the remix.
Sri Lankan producer Asvajit lends his expertise to conjure a refreshing remake of the original track with an excellent remix. Staying true to the original, the remix is driving and easy going at the same time. The track has almost a dub-minimalesque touch to it interspersed by well-tuned atmospherics and transitions and complimented by Asvajit's innate ability to craft dance-floor weapons time after time.
Not to be left out Kali G also steps up with his version of the single which is stripped down, busier and is peppered with piano stabs, vocal stabs and tropical rhythms. Relentless and addictive, this tune is tailor-made for those high-octane dance floor moments. A slight departure from his more melodic works, Kali's remake of eastern lights showcases the incredible versatility and understanding of the dance floor that he brings to the table with every single track that he works on.

BiGz & Malkov Feat. Below Bangkok - Eastern Lights (Asvajit Remix)

Wind Horse Records is pleased to announce the next release that forms a part of the ever-growing catalog of releases that have been line up for the year 2019. We are absolutely ecstatic to invite a seminal figure from New York who has formed an essential part of the system that’s currently helping push house music in the right direction - Oscar P and his EP ‘Witness’.

The 3-track EP from the American tastemaker reveals the influences and roots of a producer who stays true to the music that touches his soul. The title track ‘witness’  is the signature release from the EP and has also been reimagined into two distinct flavors with a Jazz remake as well as an “Afro Rebel” remix that portrays the versatility and musicality that Oscar P possesses.

The title track “Witness” kicks off with a simple 4X4 groove that’s complemented by sharp, rasping percussions. Oscar’s sampling prowess shines through with an uplifting and joyous vocal acapella that powers through the track with aplomb. The producer’s American influences are more than apparent with several piano riffs, trumpet stabs and subtle pad underlays and overtones that tie the track down together into one neat and power dance-floor package. Constructed with purpose, ‘Witness’ will certainly find it’s way into the record cases of more than just a few DJs.

The second track on the release is an absolutely gorgeous remake and is aptly titled the “Cromagnum Jazz remix” because of the absolute instrumental grandeur that the track possesses. Equipped with a deeper/dubby baseline, the CJ remix reveals yet another facet of Oscar’s aural aptitude. A hazy, dreamy vibe overcomes the listener as he travels through a beautiful sequence of tactfully laid out piano chords, trumpet solos and warm electronic keys that ooze class with every bar. Perfect for warming up the dance floor or for being dropped at those secret after-parties.

The final track on the EP is another reinterpretation of the title track that explores a style of music that screams “Dancefloor”. The deep, dubby bassline is retained along with instrumental elements and overlayed with smatterings of vocals that keep the listener hooked on edge. An amalgamation of the previous two tracks, “Afro-rebel” mix ensures that there’s something for everyone's sensibilities throughout the EP, making for another solid release from the WindHorse family.

As World Beats Mature, it is truly and indelibly becoming an international phenomenon. Wind Horse Records was formed in New Delhi in August 2009, earning the distinction of India's first house music label. Wind Horse was devised by prominent Indian DJ and producer Hamza. He dominated the label's artist roster so far with impressive releases that seamlessly meld house music rhythms, traditional instrumentation from Indian and other world musics, and admirably high production standards.

Wind Horse Records was formed in New Delhi in August 2009, earning the distinction of India's first World Beats music label. Wind Horse was devised by prominent Indian DJ and producer Hamza. Wind Horse has been largely successful thus far, earning accolades from fans like Riva Starr, Dubfire, Peter Kruder, Roger Sanchez, John Digweed, Lauren Garnier, and Sander Klienenberg.
