@editamusic 's ninth release is the work of the brilliant and versatile German producer @saschafunkeofficial , known for having created different styles over the years with an absolutely unique and well-defined touch. The track he chose is Pump up The Volume, a single by the British group M.A.R.R.S. from 1987, considered by many to be a true monument of the Dance scene. The way Sascha reinterpreted it is wonderful, making it a bomb that changes skin for its entire duration.

Zurich-born, New York-based DJ Tony y Not is best known for her free-spirited sets, seamlessly weaving together techy acid, progressive, dark disco, and heart-opening indie. TEE MANGO’s first release on Kompakt has been a long time coming. Ever since Michael Mayer heard his sunkissed remix of The Invisible’s ‘K Town Sunset’ back in 2017, he’s been obsessed with his music. The two tracks here, ‘Moonshots’ and ‘My Mind Is Making Up Monsters’, are prime examples of TEE’s ability to create heartfelt, uplifting modern house music. The French duo of Danny and Mike Parton have brought plenty of timeless charm but new school thinking to their music in the last year or so. It has come on their own Jolene Records and has proven irresistible to both DJs and dancers with its subtle references to French touch, disco and funk. Their sounds are smartly sampled and packed with the sort of good-time grooves that never fail to unite the 'floor.

Mike opens this one with 'Djazz', a freewheeling cut with jazzy melodies that bring joy next to a bluesy vocal sample. The drums are big, the claps are packed with swing, and the whole groove is loaded with character. 'Bissou' keeps the vibes flowing with more insistent drum loops and vocal stabs that build the tension before a huge moment of release brings dancing keys and explosive reactions.

Then it's over to Danny for 'Bames Jlake', a filter-heavy house aﬀair. It has cooing vocals, smeared melodies and a warm and Balearic feel, as well as a fantastic slow-motion breakdown before the drums land once more. Lastly comes the fantastic 'Instashit', which is a vibrant blend of dazzling disco melodies, throwback vocals and funky drum patterns that never quit.

Ketiov returns to Moxie’s On Loop imprint after his 2023 debut ‘Late Night People’, an epic headline EP with four weighty dancefloor focused tracks. A prominent feature in many DJs' record bags including but not limited to the likes of Roi Perez, Shanti Celeste, Elias Mazian and more.

‘The Art of Structure’ retains that sense of cheekiness but takes things a little deeper, from straight up dance floor bangers like ‘I Luv U’ to slightly more introspective moments on ‘Structure’ and music that reflects a shared passion for New York house dubs. The EP organically came together over the last couple of years, a product of the long standing mutual respect between Ketiov and On Loop head honcho Moxie, a friendship that continues to flourish on and off the dancefloor. 

The esteemed producer has been working consistently in club culture over the last two decades, from running CARBS, the community focused party LGBTQ+ in Madrid alongside being a resident DJ at the fetish party MyPleasure. 

Having released music as part of the iconic and hugely respected Catz N Dogz duo since the early 2000s, Wojciech steps out regularly under the guise of Ketiov releasing records with Running Back and their own imprint KETIOV as well as STEP. 

Speaking on the release and working with On Loop, Ketiov says: "Originally the lyrics were written by my friend Gustavo for a promo video for their community party at Planeta Manas in Lisbon. They express what means dancing in Portuguese, and how important is to express yourself through dance, especially in queer spaces. When people feel safe, they break out of their shell. I used this vocal because I fell in love with the message, and happily Gustavo agreed to do it."
