A trim and shifty bass line pops and flexes under a finger snapping snare and sixteenth-note shuffles. PREMIERE : Jerk Boy - Something Isn't Right Feat. Irfane

Mexican electronic music artist Pinto, a rapidly rising force and founding member of Vatos Locos, is set to release his "Talismán" EP on Duro Label on May 30, 2025. Known for his impeccable mixing technique, underground groove, and timeless style, Pinto delivers a four-track exploration of house that showcases his versatility and innovative sound.

The EP opens with the title track, "Talismán," a refreshing house cut designed for the dancefloor. It features vibrant keyboards, a playful bassline, and a stong rhythmic section. "Plastic City" follows, injecting a dose of energy with its tight bass, hypnotic and frenetic atmosphere, cowbells, alarms, and resonant leads.

The journey continues with Theus Mago's edit of "Ghost in a Box." The acclaimed Mexican producer infuses the track with his signature sound, characterized by a booming, dynamic bass, rolling rhythms, a slightly schizophrenic atmosphere, and ghostly keyboards. Rounding out the EP is Pinto's original mix of "Ghost in a Box," a powerful dancefloor weapon. Its solid drum work and potent bassline create a captivating sonic voyage through ghostly keyboards, cowbells, and echoes.

Pinto has cultivated a strong presence in the electronic music scene, holding a residency at Bar Américas since 2011 with his "Localafiesta" night and founding the artistic multiverse LAFT. His ability to weave eclectic narratives through his sets, spanning house and techno, has earned him international recognition. Pinto's impressive performance history includes appearances at renowned clubs such as Club Der Visionaere (Berlin), The Egg (London), and Bar Americas (Mexico). His discography spans esteemed labels like Body Parts, Vatos Locos, Deeperfect, and Nite Grooves.

Ketiov returns to Moxie’s On Loop imprint after his 2023 debut ‘Late Night People’, an epic headline EP with four weighty dancefloor focused tracks. A prominent feature in many DJs' record bags including but not limited to the likes of Roi Perez, Shanti Celeste, Elias Mazian and more.

‘The Art of Structure’ retains that sense of cheekiness but takes things a little deeper, from straight up dance floor bangers like ‘I Luv U’ to slightly more introspective moments on ‘Structure’ and music that reflects a shared passion for New York house dubs. The EP organically came together over the last couple of years, a product of the long standing mutual respect between Ketiov and On Loop head honcho Moxie, a friendship that continues to flourish on and off the dancefloor. 

The esteemed producer has been working consistently in club culture over the last two decades, from running CARBS, the community focused party LGBTQ+ in Madrid alongside being a resident DJ at the fetish party MyPleasure. 

Having released music as part of the iconic and hugely respected Catz N Dogz duo since the early 2000s, Wojciech steps out regularly under the guise of Ketiov releasing records with Running Back and their own imprint KETIOV as well as STEP. 

Speaking on the release and working with On Loop, Ketiov says: "Originally the lyrics were written by my friend Gustavo for a promo video for their community party at Planeta Manas in Lisbon. They express what means dancing in Portuguese, and how important is to express yourself through dance, especially in queer spaces. When people feel safe, they break out of their shell. I used this vocal because I fell in love with the message, and happily Gustavo agreed to do it."

It's twins! Following the birth of his first child, and a failed (yet noble) bid for the Papacy, Bawrut returns with Papa Bawrut Part 2, the second holy chapter in his ongoing musical sermon. While fatherhood may have brought sleepless nights, it's also delivered wild inspiration, with this EP offering up a brace of fearless, genre-defying cuts.

Leading the release is La Notte, a creative late-night jam inspired by an hypnotic performance of 'Klan' by Italian pop star Mahmood.  'I had forgotten how amazing the repetition of 'La Notte' sounded, so I used it as the foundation for the track,' Bawrut explains. 'Because when do we all come together to dance? La Notte, of course.'

Next up is Vibracall, a bold middle finger to lazy nostalgia. 'A lot of club music today sounds like it's stuck in the year 2000,' says Bawrut. 'If I'm going to use the past, I want something iconic.' Enter: the vibration tone from the first-gen cell phones. Reimagined, repurposed, and flipped.

Closing the EP is a deeper, darker reinterpretation of La Notte from Irish producer and friend Hammer. With bubbling synths, ghostly vocal textures, and precise percussion, it adds a moody exhale to Bawrut's high-energy offering.

Papa Bawrut Part 2 is untamed, unpredictable, and undeniably him.
