The last two Munk releases (on Correspondant and Local Talk) already showed the new side of Mathias Modica's musical output.
Instrumental, hypnotic, yet funky and tribal mid tempo tracks with almost no vocals. 
Now Mr. Munk takes it a few steps further. He is flying his Techno into a Sun Ra Space. „The Bolero Bunuel“ is based on a jazzfunk bassline and some live drumming. The melodies remind of some strange arabian sci-fi things. „The Naked Baam“ reminds of the first Motorbass tracks, back from Paris 1995. Filterfunk! „The Oboe Onyx“ - Boards of Canada could have been somewhere in the studio when this was made. The beat is weird... not quantized. The classical instruments and melodic lines remind of some compositions of late Ligeti or P‰rt. This new Munk EP comes out with Remixes from LAUER and RED AXES.

Bwana is well into weightlifting, and this hobby translates into his music that is underpinned with muscular and driving foundations. He’s also a playful character with a fondness for emoji-filled photoshops, and this equally comes across in his ear for a sparkling and infectious melody.

Next up he’s debuting on Fort Romeau and Ali Tillett’s Cin Cin imprint with a four-track split EP backed with two cuts from Belfast-based producer LOR.

Our favourite on the 12” is Bwana’s ‘Annex, 90’, which steadily grows from a muted kick into an expansive glide through cosmic textures.

The boat sailed across the delicate waves making little sound. Upon it lay a beautiful girl, golden beneath the crimson evening sun. She sipped from a chilled glass as she watched the waves roll back and forth. This was a life of luxury, one thoroughly deserved and yet she still did not feel content. She longed to be able to share a paradise moment with the touch of another nearby. Solitude was a dream, but at times a nightmare. She sighed and fell asleep.

A Vision of Panorama is set to release a new album on the LA based Chit Chat Records later this month. His dreamy balearic sounds are the perfect accompaniment to the season.

For his third PV EP, New Jackson tightens the strings and brings back the bounce with two rather floor-friendly tracks that are still deeply rooted in the unique New Jackson universe. To round things up "Feather By Feather" is a love-trenched early morning anthem, which is the perfect soundtrack for doing all things that are nice in this world.

Straight out of coastal Bordeaux, Laroze is back on Flux with another
collection of floor-focussed cuts. Joining him on remix duties this time is fellow Frenchman Kosme. 

Following on from FLUX002, Laroze’s style is typically packed with energy and verve, using the classic US house framework as a launch-pad to bring his sound to contemporary dance-floors across Europe.

The B-side, Kosme’s remix of You Better Give Up (Romy’s Floor Version) flips the original completely on its head, where glistening synth undulations drive the track forward with newly defined purpose. An extended break-down sees Kosme drop in nostalgic break-beats and a sombre string arrangement, before rolling back in.

On "Human Beauty" the spanish staple Kid Simius and Tender Games join forces to create a powerful single.
Kid Simius, who is known for his production in a lot of different genres and collaboration with many well known acts like Paul Kalkbrenner, Magit Cacoon, Marteria, Siriusmo, has been shifting more toward dance music this year and with Tender Games - who celebrated a string of well received goovers in 2019 - they created "Human Beauty".
The track is a homage to 90's rave culture:  a bass-heavy, emotional track that makes you dance as well as think. Pitched vocals fuse together with a layer of synths, arps and a floating jungle break. Lyrically the song revolves around the ever shifting standards of beauty, aestethic and the fact that chasing trends is a never ending rat race.
