A new artist on Gomma!
Coming with his single: Barotti, a musician and multimedia artist based in Berlin. After mainly working on sound installations and performing arts for years, Barotti will release his debut album “Rising“ in the end of 2015. 

Barotti has created an own genre of music. Magic, organic soundscapes. Mixing the electronic with symphonic parts. Working with a classical orchestra as well as rare vintage synthesizers. Barotti's songs are difficult to describe. His low voice, the mystic atmospheres, raw and glamorous at the same time. 

You can put Barotti's music somewhere between Woodkid and Sohn, adding more influences from the last 200 years of classical music and the distorted electronic aestheticism of Funkstörung and James Blake. The album was recorded in Casablanca and Berlin. “She Once Knew“ was remixed by Massimiliano Pagliara.

The Violet Hour is the exclusive project of Panorama Bar resident Massimiliano Pagliara and Michael Greene aka Fort Romeau, for Berlin imprint Cocktail d’Amore. 
One Morning In The Future takes over the A side. A total dancefloor pleaser. Treating us with Chicago house-inspired drums and that kind of cosmic pads that make any seasoned raver jump and kiss a nearby stranger. The intensity never stops growing - with new melodic strings appearing unexpectedly, projecting the track to the rings of Saturn.
An involving italo-classic bassline characterizes Ultraviolet, together with an explosive layering of synthy melodies. The B2 Prisoner Of Love is a seductive dialogue between synthesizers and classic piano, resulting in a comforting, romantic piece of cosmic disco. These two tracks illuminate feelings of looking at a violet sky, but with different attitudes: the first pushes into the unknown looking for a happy ending, while the second is nostalgic and tender.
The Violet Hour is an evergreen example of contemporary man-machine lovemaking.

B1 - Ultraviolet

Following on from Phil Gerus' 'Make Time' EP, the next release on Berlin's True Romance comes from label boss Tensnake. 'Machines' is home to three rather brilliant tracks that should usher in the summer. And strangely enough, with cooing vocals and disco filters, it feels as French as droopy Gauloises and 6pm adultery.

We're premiering closing track 'All In All' which sticks to the classic Tensnake template with predictably excellent results. Right out of the gate you know this one is gonna cause some serious moments on the dancefloor. The bassline casually struts along with a rude level of funk, while the fizzing synths gradually bring the whole thing to a rolling boil.

The boat sailed across the delicate waves making little sound. Upon it lay a beautiful girl, golden beneath the crimson evening sun. She sipped from a chilled glass as she watched the waves roll back and forth. This was a life of luxury, one thoroughly deserved and yet she still did not feel content. She longed to be able to share a paradise moment with the touch of another nearby. Solitude was a dream, but at times a nightmare. She sighed and fell asleep.

A Vision of Panorama is set to release a new album on the LA based Chit Chat Records later this month. His dreamy balearic sounds are the perfect accompaniment to the season.

The first remix from Eric Copeland's newly released DFA album 'Goofballs' comes from Cooper Saver, co-founder of Far Away, the LA cassette label & secret monthly party, who reworks the LP standout 'Neckbone'. Goofballs sees Black Dice's Copeland return to DFA with a brand-new set of hyper & hectic leftfield club music. The album places its emphasis on playful melodies, ear worm hooks & vocals mixed with trademark machine funk rhythms that hit hard and land offbalance. Any other way would be too obvious for an artist like Eric. Perhaps he even invented a new dance genre: ‘Goofstep’. We’ll see if that one sticks…
Eric explained the creation of this new LP to us via email from his home on an island in lovely Balearic Palma Spain:
“I made it here in Palma at my studio, this is the first full record I’ve made entirely here since moving. some of this material was road tested September 2016 on tour supporting Animal Collective. This album was the result of real isolation here, countless hours, focused only on this. The whole recording & writing was a fast process. I focused most on the bass groove. I had a very minimal gear setup: 90’s drum machine, cheap bass machine and a sampler. But most important was a homemade ‘drum brain’ that Barry’s London custom made for me. Barry was in the Van Pelt Soldiers of Fortune & Oneida. That piece of gear was a big part of this record and informed the direction it took the most.”
Eric Copeland is a founding member of Black Dice as well as a prolific solo artist. Besides DFA, he has released albums on L.I.E.S., Post Present Medium & Paw Tracks.
Goofballs was mixed by Rusty Santos (who has mixed everyone from DJ Rashad to Panda Bear to Owen Pallett) and mastered by Joe Lambert. It is Eric’s third solo album for DFA Records.

'Citizens Of Vice' is a new label that is not trying to take itself to seriously. For it's debut release it kicks off with a sampler that bookends it's musical demographic. Disco, House and Balearic vibes with a nod to the heady days that have inspired the labels creation. 'In Flagranti' kick things off with a rugged modern Disco affair. This is followed by our very own ode to the infamous Ibizan venue `Pikes'. Somethin' Sanctified follow with a piano heavy roller that will have hands in the air a plenty. Plastic Fantastic then slow things down with some seriously mellow vibes.. This release represents what we are about as a label and showcases four acts that encompass a sound template of where we will go on future releases.
