AVA. Records celebrates its 10th anniversary with 52 artists. 10 Yahre is a 4LP compilation housing 22 tracks, a printed 30 pages magazin and a mixed CD. All wrapped in a custom made silkscreen sleeve, also including a textile keychain and stickers. Sonically spanning from ambient to techno, 10 Yahre carries new and exclusive material, all woven around the label’s decade focus on dance floor culture, started 2011 in Cologne, Germany.

Starting again from the last Summer, when everything had yet to unfold. And finding yourself now with another Summer about to begin. New Tracks, Nnew Protagonists, a New Journey. Going further into connecting Two Generations, distant yet neighboring: the one that blazed the trail in the early Nineties and the one that continues to follow it Today, with a futuristic perspective, moved by a renewed ferment and an enthralling desire to express themselves and flow in unison, after the long silence of the pandemic. 
The flattering feedback received both from the audience and the critics after releasing the first volume of "Ciao Italia" inevitably inspired us with the idea of a sequel. A new volume animated by the same spirit and attitude as the first one: not a nostalgic or commemorative operation, but a propulsive thrust for a possible evolution. In continuity with the first part of the project, "Ciao Italia – Volume 2" also wants to be a tribute to the artists who wrote this story. Artists who were often forced to use multiple aliases, so many that they can't even remember them all. A story that still sounds incredibly current and that has had the merit of breaking that stereotype of xenophilia of which our country is an undying victim. Much more than just a "scene" it can be described as a mental state, a lifestyle, marked by unifying electronic pulsations, exotic and dreamy, ecstatic and liberating.

Generazioni Underground - Volume 2" delves further into the origins of an era whose sounds and atmospheres remain an endless source of inspiration today. This time involving other seminal producers protagonists of that all-Italian golden age: from Cirillo, Kamasutra (Alex Neri and Marco Baroni), Savino Martinez & Claudio Coccoluto, Ivan Iacobucci, Riviera Traxx (Flavio Vecchi and Ricky Montanari), Tc 1992 (Roberto Intrallazzi and Marco Fratty, here in the remix version of the great Marco Trani) to Tony Carrasco (Exotica), Mauro Ferrucci and Christian Hornbostel (Nikita Warren), Pastaboys (Rame, Uovo & Dino Angioletti), Leo Rosi, Gianni Bini, Jonathan Tedesco (Beat Foundation), Fidelfatti, T.R.A., Oneiric & Vortex, Leo Young, Steve Mantovani, Daniele Mad & Dan E Mc, Corrado Rizza, Harley & Muscle. Additionally passing through unreleased songs by Joe Montana, Edward's World (Edoardo Milani), E.v.o.e. Born from an idea of Daniele "Shield" Contrini, with the art direction of Stupefacente Studio, the collection also includes productions from some of the new "Underground Generation", ideally inspired by the iconic sound of that time, but at the same time kaleidoscopic and ultra-contemporary. As you might noticed we do like Lauer a lot at LYO ! Few weeks ago we featured Phillip on @emotional-especial with a premiere of his S-Fire remix.  He's now back with his brother Jacob for a full four-tracker ep under their mighty Hotel Lauer project, known for its taste for percussion, synths and drums. Things starts with the most club friendly and definitely head-rushing track ever on Especial, in "Tamzarian" here premiered. Acid, tick. 909, tick. Piano, tick. The sound of the summer encapsulating in 6 and half pulsating minutes. Pacha terrace, free party dew covered fields, Barbarellas sunrises. We already feel like it's Tisno !

Joining Tartelet Records in its tenth year in business, young Copenhagen-based talent B FROM E hits the ground running with ‘Back From Eternity’; a trance-inducing garage house record for the hedonist in you.   B FROM E (Frej Garcia Levin) represents a new generation of talented young artists making waves in Copenhagen. Of Mexican-Danish descent, and born and raised in the notorious tower blocks of the southwestern suburbs of Copenhagen, the 27-year old is on the up-and-up. In high demand as the founder of boom bap rap group NATKAT, producer of pop outﬁt Ny Sensei (New Sensei) and head of tape-only label Buddahood, the multi-talent seems to have a hand in everything at the moment.   His 2017 debut ‘Porno TR-XXX’ (C.U.P) saw some of the hottest names in the game spinning B FROM E at last year’s Dekmantel festival, resulting in oﬀers from several well-known record labels. His new record on Tartelet Records comes as four cuts exploring diﬀerent paths of the garage house sound. The opener ‘Dark Energy’ is fueled by ﬁlthy breaks and a nostalgic theme that would not be out of place in an early Atari computer game. ‘The People (Dream Mix)’ is a trippy tour through subtle layered melodies, carried by a stripped-back groove.   On the B-side you will ﬁnd ‘Positive Sister (2605 Tool)’: a chunky cut with a serious bassline. Saving the best for last, ‘You Will See’, rounds oﬀ the record in style. A feel-good tune that is sure to get plenty of spins this summer. Emotional Rescue returns to the music of Takenoko, the Bordeaux based synth-pop project from 1982-1988, to follow their LP collection L'Amour Est Mon Arme (ERC062), with an EP of remixes from Dresden's cult-like producer, Sneaker DJ. 

The meeting of Takenoko and Sneaker offers a perfect marriage of left field cold wave tones, inventive drum programming and pop lyrics, with a master-mixer, programmer and DJ of today. 

Following releases on cult labels like Uncanny Valley, Rat Life and Frigio as Sneaker and numerous labels such as Macadam Mambo, Bordello A Parigi and Bahnsteig 23 under several pseudonyms, Sneaker first contacted the label after his trance-inducing, drum heavy remix of C Cat Trance , with the suggestion to research an idea to create a reissue / remix project out of a band he had discovered, Takenoko.

This was soon expanded to become a stand-alone album and remixes EP after the discovery in the vaults of a cache of unreleased songs. The breadth of styles found on L'Amour Est Mon Arme is matched with these "Mixes", as Sneaker takes 3 of their singles and indelibly puts his marker on them. 

Starting with his retake of their second single, Lee Harvey Oswald, he reworks their pop ode to the Kennedy tragedy and strips it groove back for a near 9 minute vocal-meets-discodub that lets the lyrical structure remain, before stretching it out and letting the instrumental interplay between keys, guitar and rhythm machines glide before bringing it all back for finale. 

Next, their 1988 single Trans Amor Express is given what is becoming a trademark Sneaker treatment. In a similar vain to his remix of C Cat Trance, here he rips the original apart to extend a single vocal refrain with the raw percussion elements for mind-inducing results. 

Finally, his mix of the anthemic John Wayne is almost gentle in comparison, adding 909 overdubs but letting much of the original stay, showing again a modern mastery of mixing desk technique and craft.
