Well this might just be one of my tracks of the year. Taken from the mysterious Germany producer Classic Me's superb new album of low slung house grooves 'Cycles' on @lan-berlin, this slow-burning jam centres around a sultry spoken vocal, a simple but dramatic piano modulation and robotic funk bass. A set gear-changer if ever we heard one.

Just a few months after premiering Body Contact by Sim Fossil, the frenchmen from Mister T. records are back with a 2nd digital release. With this new EP by the British trio, Desert Island Disco, they unveil 3 balearic House bombshells to light up dancefloors and festivals this summer.

Brought together by a shared passion for timeless dance music, the Desert Island Disco are a British collective hosting parties between London and Barcelona. After 4 successful self-releases, they are stepping up production efforts, launching their first major EP on Mister T. Records.

With the Fighting For Truth EP, the boys have produced 3 summery tracks that reflect the different moods of the balearic aesthetic. When Glistening is the most dancefloor-oriented track and Fighting for Truth maintains a similarly seductive vibe, Lina steps slightly apart. We still find the essence of dreamy house, with its groove and atmosphere but Lina merges broader electronic and afro influences of the Desert Island Disco trio. Lina takes the listener to a remote place with floating flutes, melodic percs and lush vocals that gives the final touch of the release Balearic.

The rather calm mood on the flip side with the voice of Six Lee on the tracks „Dear Disco“ and „You Should Have That Balls„ characterize a classic B side.

French producer and DJ Marina Trench continues to shine brightly as one of the deep house underground's most intriguing and unmissable musical talents. Having managed to carve out a reputation as a selector with impeccable taste, Marina is blessed with an innate ability to expertly move oceans of crowds at clubs and festivals the world over. Her productions on Wolf Music Recordings, Deeply Rooted, Heist Recordings, and remix projects for Paloma alongside Gerd Janson, have helped put her cultured, elegant and mature sound firmly on the radars of the most discerning of tastemakers. Her very first EP caught the attention of subterranean hero DJ Deep, who signed the music to his seminal Deeply Rooted imprint, calling up none other than house luminary Kerri Chandler to provide his remix magic.
Going forward in exquisite style, Marina releases her second outing on her own Sweet State imprint. The label launched in 2021 with her ‘Free Mind EP’ with remixes from Cinthie and Anna Wall. Next up on Sweet State is Marina’s ‘Imperméable en été ’ that is sure to further cement her position as an artist in the ascendancy.  On this long-awaited release Marina Trench delivers three originals cuts, that range from the colourful opener and nu disco lovely ‘Ose’, co-composed and performed with fellow Parisian producer Hugo LX, to the classic house vibrations of the club oriented ‘L’Orage’, via some pop infused downtempo vibes from the heartfelt ballad ‘Hirondelle’. With these three new compositions, Marina shows her shimmering musical versatility and aims to blow some fresh air into her own sonic galaxy.

Exclusive: Damiano von Erckert - Retrogott - Like This (Damiano von Erckert Remix)

Spreading some urban melancholy with this ten tracker, it's Damiano von Erckert making his return to Will Saul's Aus Music label with his  album The Past The Future. After two EPs on the label in the past, namely PETE and Replica Material, and a remix for Cinthie, DvE takes things a bit further with his third long player. By latter it is meant that The Past The Future can be divided into different sound-categories, which take the listeners from club to space and back to Detroit. Retrogott - Like This (Damiano von Erckert Remix) surely aims at the floors, but has enough deepness, funk and groove to round out Damiano's conglomerate of sounds, which showcase the artist's studio skills. Everything else is for the listener to decide, however to not get involved with DvE latest work is nearly impossible since The Past The Future perfectly does what the title suggests: it brings together DvE's spaced-out sounds with electronic music's past without being out of touch with the real (club) world.

Damiano von Erckert's album The Past The Future will be released on Aus Music on November 25th, 2022.

Just a few months after the release of MTT005 with Desert Island Disco, @mistert-records are pleased to announce their first compilation welcoming recognized and emerging artists from 5 different countries, united by their love of electronic music. The compilation is split in two sides : Musica Per Ballare - the first Volume - built around the love of Italo influences and Musica Para Bailar - the 2nd Volume - made with balearic aesthetics.

On the Balearic side of the compilation, MTT teamed up with solid members of their network as Pleasure Voyage, Romain FX and Desert Island Disco already strongly contributed to the work of the label.
The 2nd volume starts with “Mediterranean Feeling”, a complete dream house track conjuring up all the beauty of the style : clear keys, rhythm and a heady brass line. @pleasurevoyage really demostrates on this production their level of understanding of the essence of the Balearic vibe.
