We’re excited to present you Yurk’s First Vinyl album on Chomp! Chomp! This six-track all original music by Yurk, is diverse and rhythm heavy across the electronic genres. Kicking off the album with “Delay Tech,” this 90s-inspired acidic house track is festival-ready with big energy. Then we dive into “Bustin’” - a bouncy Tech House with punchy and multiform tones. Follow by “Sin Control,” warm Jazzy House grooves accompanied by delayed filled Trumpet theme. On the B side, “Cosita” - a hard-hitting Detroit-inspired dub techno composition that treks into 90s territory. Follow by “El Nuevo Jazz”, a playful and dynamic track which combines punchy percussive electro breaks with a high-spirited bassline. To conclude the album - “Satori,” takes us on a spaced-out acid house journey, inspired by the Japanese Buddhist term for awakening, offering a psychedelic and uplifting finale.

Yurk is a dynamic producer and DJ from Puerto Rico, now making waves in Brooklyn's music scene. Blending Latin rhythms with global electronic beats, he has released music with local labels like Mechanical in Queens, NY. As the head of Organized Disorder, Yurk hosts a biweekly radio show, along with an all vinyl monthly Saoco! Party focused on Caribbean and outernational music.

Ever since the first EP “Attic Edits” was released in 2012. The duo Moiety & Manik have been experimenting with a lot of different music projects and sounds. Even though the two long time friends have developed a more distinct and different style in their solo work, each time when they found time to jam together in the studio their energy was special and brought an interesting fusion. This resulted in their second EP “Voodoo Hoodoo” which was released on Rugged Society in 2021. While the first EP was clearly based on creative editing of lost and forgotten gems from the past (which got a lot of attention because of the track “You’re Gone” that seemed to blow up overnight), Voodoo Hoodoo was an EP that took a turn to electronic and tribal music with a unique take on it. Finally after 3 years the 3rd EP “YOU” is ready to be shared with the world. Again this is another turn in music style and as playful and creative as always, but now inspired by soul, hip hop and the electronic music they love. Enjoy!

Rome-based producer A-Tweed lands on our sub-label Human Endeavour with a four-track EP of hypnotic, leftfield chuggers. Well known for his cocktail of crawling, lysergic beats and low slung acid mutations, the Italian producer follows outings for labels like TRESOR, Multi Culti and Hard Fist, with the wonky, tripped-out rhythms of ‘Riot Disco Punk’.

Shunning conventional dancefloor tropes, A-Tweed brings his signature punk attitude to this self-proclaimed “personal musical riot”, launching with ‘Kabuki Spin’, a steady beat awash with reverberating synths and whispered vocals that take us out of reality. 

The off kilter wonk of the title track follows with a smattering of bleeps, bloops, crunches and vocal stabs, setting the scene for the intoxicating, skewed rhythms of ‘Akira Danse!’ and psychedelic tribal beats of ‘Dusty Rumble Fish’; each track serving as a reminder that it's always more fun to colour outside of the lines.

Keita Sano joins forces with fellow Japanese producer XTAL and makes a welcome return to Delusions following last years amazing Love Is Emotion EP.

Those familiar with Keita’s production will know that his sound is a unique blend of raw, crunchy disco beats, touches of acid and a left-field sensibility which creates an intense and captivating atmosphere on the dance floor.  A vibe that has seen his tracks be-come secret weapons for DJ’s as diverse as Ivan Smagghe, Pablo Fierro, DJ Nature, Frank Tope and Hot Toddy. 

Kicking off the EP we have a track called Broken, a high energy and uplifting slice of loopy filter disco which hits all the right notes.  Things roll along perfectly, building to a crescendo as a full on string break cuts loose, everything dropping away before slam-ming in with timbale fills joining the party.

Let Us Have Nice Days, The Sun is up next and makes great use of a classic Italo bassline to drive the track along whilst dub delay FX and side chained pads keep the energy bubbling. Bending bass synth notes bring an extra bit of drama without upsetting the flow and rolling 16th note intensity from the bassline.  Feel the love!

Closing the release, we have Time Passing which slows the BPM slightly for a chug-ging slice of string-drenched gorgeousness.  Drop this at sunset and watch as this mel-ancholic gem creates a little bit of magic on the dance floor.

PREMIERE: XTAL & Keita Sano - Let Us Have Nice Days, The Sun

Abstrack Records est de retour avec un nouvel EP qui fait la part belle aux instruments et à ceux qui en jouent. La formation angevine Auroboros, émanant de Freaks Pop, organisation historiquement sœur d’Abstrack nous offre vingt minutes d’un jam rock, progressif et cos- mique.
«Camel» semble comme une longue poursuite, une progression vers un point de fuite qui se dérobe. L’inexorable accélération du tempo et la montée en puissance des instruments semblent nous mener vers un paroxysme inimaginable.

A la faveur d’un break où tout est étrangement plus rapide et calme à la fois, on aperçoit cet horizon, on croit même l’atteindre quelques instants, les percussions s’évanouissant. Mais l’ascension reprend et la transe n’est pas négociable. Le flot puissant des énergies instrumen- tales emporte avec lui les immobiles et les sceptiques.

Sur la face B, deux remix très différents complètent le tableau. Romain FX distille l’essence dancefloor de «Camel». Avec une ap- proche cosmique et presque orientale, l’ascension onirique instru- mentale accouche d’un banger de peak time, pur matériel à secouer les jambes à toute heure.
Mytron nous offre un remix plus joueur et trippé. Sept minutes d’une vibe qui semble dériver et prendre à contre pied, sans jamais rompre le groove installé patiemment, avec tribalité et presque avec humour.

Following appearances on Control Freak, Badlands, Erbium, Outer South and Hand In Hand, Midnight Manoeuvres returns with his first self-release exploring a range of tempos bound together by a signature cinematic style.

Opening with ‘Doors & Corners’, a hybrid club track with melancholic undertones and intricate textures.

Rising up the gears, the mutant UK funky of ‘Swear Down’ combines driving percussion and pressure subs for maximum impact.

Next up, the brooding experimental interlude of ‘Arch (Reprise)’ with deep space lows and mechanical highs.

Hurtling further into the deep, ‘Silver Lining’ presents a bleak and machine-led hyper dystopia at 170.

Closing out, ‘Shapley’ is a homage to the esoteric hypnotism of early vaporwave.

All in all, this 5-tracker marks another diverse offering from a genre-fluid artist.
