Time had slipped through his fingers, he could barely recollect a moment of the last 12 hours. He’d fallen into another world and left reality behind him, his mind lost in the spaces in-between. Now he had to piece the fragments back together and find a way back to normality.

For the next instalment on Jason Peters’ Roam Recordings, Italian producers Giorgio Giri and Marco Lentano unite under their Mushrooms Project alias for a dose of hypnotic, downtempo cuts. True to their name, psychedelia is the dish of the day, with the duo serving up four tracks that match mind expanding electronics and analog instrumentation.

Nothing could prepare him for the colossal amount of commitments and activities that lay ahead of him. The deadlines were many and the hours few, he had to get his priorities in order and sleep and health would not make the cut. But this wasn't his first rodeo, he was well trained in the art of ploughing through. He no longer needed his vitamins to get the job done.

Known for his hazy, off-kilter take on electronica, Tel Aviv-based producer and Age Of Self co-founder Autarkic has brought us some of our favourite leftfield dancefloor releases, for the likes of Bahnsteig 23, Höga Nord and Life and Death. For his new LP, a debut on Red Axes' Garzen Records, he goes back to his roots, leaving the club behind for songs sung in Hebrew over guitars, synths, samples and lo-fi atmospheres.

In the middle of the summer Yeho, an Israeli musician coming from Tel Aviv, was wandering around Italy and randomly he found himself in the “Quintino Basement”, lair of Ninja Exotic Machine.
This casual encounter gave birth to three new tracks where the
duo’s downtempo and tribal style merges with Yeho’s crisp and raw vocal together with intriguing percussions samples extracted from live recordings of the percussionist Andrea Greco.
The result is an Ep called “36 questions” out on Pho Bho Records on the 14th of October.

Created by producers & DJs Dori Sadovnik & Niv Arzi, Red Axes constantly defies classification while remaining a stalwart of the dance music scene beginning with the launch of “Break It!” an underground psychedelic electronic party series in Tel-Aviv in 2009. Red Axes have helped dancers around the world bridge the intersecting tastes between rock and electronic music, and are known for their dozens of EPs and albums across the last ten years as well as recent outings via Redrago (alongside DJ Tennis).Arriving hot on the heels of their latest EP for Phantasy Sound titled “Some Lights,” their mix for Bolting Bits showcases their singular vision – merging a kaleidoscopic range with driving tempos that demand listeners lean in and participate. In addition, Dori and Niv have been kind enough to answer some questions from the Bolting Bits team to learn more about their selections and how they’re envisioning the future of their long-standing project.

There were glimmering colours and flickering lights which danced and bounced between the four walls of the grand old hall. Inside it revellers moved in a euphoric trance, engulfed by the saidas touch, a hypnotic force which bound them together and kept them moving in ignorant unison. It was a beautiful, magnificent thing - strangely fascinating to watch as each dancer moved simultaneously in time with the rumble and banging of drums as a myriad of colours exploded and flashed. 

Dj Willie Oboe is back and when I say that it will likely mean very little. However, if I were to tell you that it's a magical new moniker for one of the members of the infamous hardware inspired duo Frak you might be more excited. They are set to release a new EP on Lost Control, a somewhat more house focussed affair than their usual. However, it still carries that rough and ready, signature Frak sound.

“Dancefloor Memories” is a new compilation, a love letter to the dancefloor, released on the Swiss label Proxima. Translated through 10 tracks + 1 bonus track, it focuses on the epiphanies had on a dancefloor.

10 tracks including a psychedelic, bewitching and undeniably gripping vision (Trent, Eva Geist), a punchy and percussive, kaleidoscopic and colorful celebration of the dancefloor (Powder, Castro), a futuristic and electro-cataclysmic perception (Neu Verboten, Nicola Kazimir), as well as a melancholic journey (BSS, Belia Winnewisser, NVST) and an introspective vision (Epsilove).

In this compilation, you’ll find regular Cocktail d'Amore DJs, Trent and Powder, alongside Castro from Berlin record store Sound Metaphors, cutting-edge artists from the Swiss underground scene: Neu Verboten, Belia Winnewisser, Nicola Kazimir or NVST, the Paris-based producer Epsilove, Dutch producer and Dekmantel regular BSS (Beesmunt Soundsystem), and the Italian composer, synthesist and sound designer Eva Geist.

The bonus track consists of a remix of Neu Verboten's track by Proxima co-founder and Motel Campo resident DJ Audrey Danza.

Taking the controls for our first podcast of 2022 is Younger Than Me.

With early turns on labels such as Bordello A Parigi, XXX, Bar Records and Dischi Autunno, it's safe to say Francesco is doing the business and hitting the sweet spot with us at Viscera HQ. 

Delivering a modern crossover of ‘90s influenced progressive house, trance, EBM, breakbeat and techno within his productions, his DJ sets are not dissimilar, riding along a fun yet forceful sound and we just cannot get enough.

For today's mix, Younger Than Me dives headfirst into the cosmos, gripping brash breaks and aggressive melodies along the way. 

Time to feel the g-force.
