Coming from the celebration of its 50th release with a stellar compilation including some of the most cutting-edge artists in the scene, AEON is ready again to conquer the market with a killer EP courtesy of the spanish producers Moo Moonster & Parissior.
Born Carlos Velez and Jesus Aparicio, Moo Moonster & Parissior have joined forces in a over one year long process to pay homage to their main musical influences: Cosmic, Italo and Electro. The result of these endless sessions is enclosed into Intergalactive Adventure EP, their first collaborative studio work.
This package is a perfect combination of 2 different visions united by a common denominator: Arpeggios.
“Voices” open up the EP with a view into futuristic techno sounds. With a textures which progressively increase more and more wrapped in a dark groove, the only result possible is a instant new classic which will last through the years.
Title track “Intergalactic Adventure” follows bringing you straight in orbit as the title suggest. A distinctive rhythm filled with space fx and dreamy sounds create the perfect atmosphere to drive you into your personal space travel.
Scottish hero Theo Kottis step up on remix duties with a clear idea: some banging drums, a rolling bassline and few elements from the original tune. With that in mind, his work resulted a handfully crafted hit for big dancefloors: you would not be surprised to hear it in places like Panoramabar or Circoloco’s Terrace.
Closing the package we have “The Eyes of Darkness”, a track where the duo raised the pace, being stronger and more energetic. Acidic touches and a distinctive guitar riff are doing the rest, without letting it loose the cosmic part that unites the whole package.
Once again with this EP the Berlin-based label made clear how they gained and deserved their position in the music industry.

Capturing that magical sweet spot between day and night, sun and moon, dreams and reality, Italian groove maestro Amarcord makes his debut on Damon Jee’s Dust & Blood with ‘The Blue Hour Club’…

A vibrant flip on his last track ‘Spleen’ on Eskimo earlier this summer (a 105BPM alt-pop Kraftwerk homage), here we find Amarcord in much more uplifted, energetic yet still contemplative mood. Sitting somewhere between new romantic and synth wave, Amarcord creates the perfect bed for E.S.O’s heartfelt vocals as we creep closer and closer to sunrise.

The release is completed by a fantastic remix from the enigmatic Quattrovalvole who is taking us on a trip to the Indie side of the galaxy by adding some breaky drums & a touch of cosmic synths.

Duro is honored to present the birth of the “Baba” brotherhood. During the last pandemic year, Rina traveled from Tel Aviv to Portugal, where he met Switchdance. After some trips around the beautiful city of Lisbon, plates and plates of hummus and samosa, a visit to pick up raspberries at a field that used to be a medicinal cannabis farm and lots of hours in Switchdance's studio, 'Baba Music Vol. 1' was alive.

The journey initiates with the Portuguese version of "Give Way", a cut that narrates the moment when you are in a high state of mind and try to describe the process to get back to reality. For this version the duo worked with vocalist Abrão, where a deep and resonant bass, a synthesized voice, electric and acid melodies, and distant pads run through the space. It’s followed by the Hebrew version of "Give Away" where Rina takes control of the vocals. 

"Reak" means "empty" in Hebrew, the cut refers to a state of consciousness where there is nothing in the brain. Playful percussion, acid basslines mixed with digitally distorted synthesizers create the sensation of breaking out reality, an experience blended with algorithms, binary codes and atomized sounds where it is hard to distinguish the realness. A roar to all the Babas around the world to gather on the dance floor. 

To consummate the brotherhood with an embellishment, master Jonathan Kusama came up with two versions of "Give Way". The first one is a futuristic and dystopian dub masterpiece, with distorted bass lines, shady vocals and liquid percussion. For the second version Kusama brings up the energy and keeps the bass flickering and harsh, mixed with mind-bending and unhinged synthesizers.

Londoner's by choice Dario Des and Sacha Muki are up next on Paradiso Records with their Adastra EP, a six-tracker that carries its listeners through the different facets of electronic music with a Disco-esque impact. The three tracks are equally split into three original takes and three remixes, which come from Time To Sleep, Permanent Vacation co-label head Benjamin Fröhlich and Frankfurt synth-wizard Lauer, who shows us his more break-ish side with the remix treatment of Libera. However, Philipp, Lauer's first name, not only adds the before mentioned note to the track but also implements an Acid- and a grandiose synth-line, with all three directions being united under one roof creating a genre-hybrid that aims at the dance floors. 

Dario Dea and Sacha Muki's EP Adastra will be released on Paradiso Records on February 21st, 2022.

AEON is nearing its 50th release. But before we reach that milestone, we would like to share a fine record by the label boss himself, Alex Niggemann. The inspiration behind this release was found in experimenting with a vocoder. Alex explains: “society might have us all as robots if we don’t take care to be open minded - both musically and in general. That was the inspiration for the record and it was great fun to make”. A view that fits the current zeitgeist perfectly.

The ‘Technology’ vibe is inspired by late 80ies breakbeat. Once the beat is in full range with the sparkling & upclimbing synths, pictures of vintage B-boys & girls, making their acrobatic dance moves, are projected in our minds. A slight twist brings the classic Juno 6 lead synth, characterizing the main part.
