Fast rising Israeli producer, OMRI., returns to Disco Halal with his debut EP ‘My Name Is Omri Dot’. Across four tracks the artist showcases his unique, psychedelic sound that proves just why he’s one of Tel Aviv’s hottest exports right now. Spanning left-field house, indie-dance, and breakbeat, the artist takes us on a sonic journey across his homeland, opening our eyes to the endless possibilities of dance music. For the label, the EP reflects an exotic sound reminiscent of some of our early pioneers– Moscoman, Red Axes, Simple Symmetry – and for emerging, fearless, pioneering talents like OMRI. Disco Halal is the perfect home to explore their artistry with a truly open-minded approach.

OMRI. represents a vibrant new generation of musicians emerging out of Tel Aviv, channelling the city's renowned freedom of expression, creating dance music free of the status quo, void of any expectation. It’s an approach heard perfectly on this EP, whether it be via the relentless warped groove of ‘Snakes In The Bed’, the artists futuristic take on breakbeat, with a dubstep esque twist on ‘The Spotlight’, or the evocative, mind numbing vocals on ‘The Great Illusion’, the artist never fails to surprise, consistently veering in new directions.

As far as debut EP’s go, ‘My Name Is Omri Dot’ is a true statement of intent from the artist. Now ready to take his Middle Eastern sound across the globe, these four tracks simply represent the beginning of an exciting journey for OMRI. We're thrilled to present Camel Riders Records new release titled 'Minayo' by the French-Moroccan-based producers Sound of Mint, incl. remixes by DIBIDABO, Yamagucci, Feller, Salmani, Carla Valenti. The Live electronic musicians and producers Sound Of Mint are serving us in their debut EP on Camel RIders, three colorful and mesmerizing originals: 'Sama Bena' and 'Minayo' featuring the exceptional Kora player from Senegal, Mbemba Diebate, in addition to the EP theme track 'Kolinga'. Sound Of Mint's originals navigate through the vast landscapes of West Africa, creating an impeccable fusion of traditional instruments and rhythms, epic vocals, and organic elements which are all coated with fine electronic melodies and beats, suited for a wide range of moods and settings. First, we have 'Sama Bena' and 'Minayo' which both display an uplifting and warm atmosphere, combining divine Kora sounds, hypnotizing vocals, and captivating melodies with fine electronic sounds. The third original by Sound Of Mint is 'Kolinga', the EP theme track which combines funky traditional melodies, Guitars, organic percussions, wooden sounds, synths, and intoxicating tribal vocal fragments, which create all together with a fresh World Music Bluesy tune. On remix duty, we have the pleasure to welcome the Russian producer DIBIDABO and the Tel Aviv-based producer Salmani, with their debut on Camel Riders. In addition, we are thrilled to have back on our label the Japanese-Israeli producer Yamagucci, Feller from Beit Oren, and Carla Valenti from Chile. This talented team of remixers, catapult the originals to the heart of the dance floor, with a wide range of thrilling electronic sounds which vary from Slow Tech to Organic & Deep House, infusing pounding melodies, acidic elements, and fresh profound beats. Having already earned plays from the likes of Dixon, Ame, Chaim, and Adana Twins with releases on Ya Hala Ya Hala, Blue Shadow and Tau, Genish finds a natural fit on Multi Culti with his Third Eye EP, a kaleidoscopic triptych emerging out of the evolving sound of Tel Aviv. 

Composed of myriad globe-spanning influences, his sound is a fresh, house-y hybrid, imbued with the spirit of trance but restrained in both tempo and arrangement and more ambitious in terms of sonic palette. Featuring a wild mix of Qawwali samples, French-Congolese vocals as well as lyrics from a made-up language, Genish has deployed impressively diverse, character-filled vocal performances and paired them with varied, impactful rhythms, deft melodies, all wrapped-up and reinforced around powerful four-to-the-floor bass-lines. It’s a complete package that is sure to find it’s way to peak moments on dance-floors.
