For several years now ISLA has been serving up the best in ambient, experimental and trance-driven creations, welcoming artists like Ambien Baby, D.Tiffany, Pillow Queen, NAP and Le Fe to the label. Next up they've called on Maara for 'A Potion Activated', marking her second EP following a debut on Priori and Ex-Terrestrial's NAFF imprint. Backed up by a remix and a collaboration from two label affiliates D.Tiffany and NAP, the release teeters 'between heaven and hell', delivering five trance-inducing rides into purgatory.

‘Ostgut Ton | Fünfzehn + 1’ is a commemorative compilation celebrating 16 years of Ostgut Ton – and the first glimpses of light at the end of a long dark tunnel for parent club Berghain.

Originally planned for release in 2020, the music focuses on the interwoven nature of the label and the club in its multitude of different spaces and musical facets. Ostgut Ton artists and close affiliates worked together in pairs to make music dedicated to five different floors, each represented by a specific 12" vinyl. The result is a diverse selection of sometimes functional, other times more abstract sonic tributes; musical homages to spaces they have both influenced and been influenced by.

With the pandemic having forced the club to close temporarily, the collaborative nature of the 5x12" boxset represents an attempt to transcend varying degrees of isolation and to wrestle with memories of music and space that had been inaccessible. But certainly not forgotten.

PUNE was born in Argentina but is now based in Berlin. He incorporates a variety of hardware in his productions, allowing his productions to have an authentic aproach into sound.
Based on a beautiful bass drum and dreamy pads held together by a tight bassline and acid synths, this a great aproach to the orginal version: a track made for the dance floor.
In the remixes the processes can be super open, almost like an Ocean. The possibilities are endless and the rules are zero: just by taking a sample of the original song we can say that we are technically in the presence of a remix. Although this rule falls when characters like Aphex Twin appear: as legend has it, he was commissioned to remix The Lemonheads, but when he finished looking for the track he had forgotten. However, without having heard the original, he took one of his old tracks and delivered it.
Perhaps the process of a remix is ​​comparable to being asleep in a hair salon and falling into the hands of an experimental hairdresser of super confident. In this sense, the Argentine trio Asian Luxury considered themselves lucky to have fallen into such good hands.
On this occasion, we present the first remix of the latest Asian Luxury album, Ganbare. In February 2022, Raso Estudio (Spain) and Danzee Records (Buenos Aires & Berlin) will release a full album of remixes that will include remakes by Morita Vargas, Rolezinhos, Sobrenadar and Santiago Martinez among other artists.

The four-track EP – set to arrive on September 16th – showcases a unique variation of sounds, from bass-forward breakbeats to pounding melodic trance, Scaefa’s eclectic and wide-ranging music taste is present from beginning to end in Dream Stealer.

The record starts with title track “Dream Stealer”, rolling out big beats, heavy bass, and bouncing leads, paired with layers of lush pads and ambient chords. “Fault Line” is an uptempo, electro influenced track with emotionally charged, pulsating strings running throughout, along with metallic drums, rumbling bassline, syncopated synths and melodies floating in the spaces between to create a truly atmospheric experience. “Mythos” is a groovier, techno track that takes cues from the heavily percussive electronic music which renowned artists like Call Super and Pearson Sound have become known for in recent years.
