A nod to Detroit as an ever-present - a marker by which others are measured, Bone's first track on The Detroit EP, Here To Stay (Won't Fade Away) makes a statement above and beyond just being a fine example the music it refers to. The sumptuous melody that opens the track is accompanied by a substantial yet soft, almost warm, kick, a combination that somehow provides an atmosphere and depth way beyond merely the of the sum of its parts. More rolling percussion and drums are crisply ushered in before the Here To Stay (Won't Fade Away) vocal begins looping over the composition. Linear, straight up loops, grooves and rhythm give a consistent sense of railroad-esque motion atop of an ever-present vein of lush synth and melody. A track that is certainly hereto stay.

Since 2017 Beat & Path have been hollowing out a niche for their particular style of vaudevillian house music. This sixth anniversary release centres the figures who've been with the label since the start – founding members Uone and Out of Sorts (Hayden and Barton Strom), as well as festival staple and label stalwart Caly Jandro. Where its predecessor was a wide-ranging affair perfect for kick-ons, "Camp Out 002" zooms in on the quintessential Beat & Path sound: thick, restrained basslines; low-tempo percussion outmatching the energy of much faster tracks; cheeky samples from unlikely sources; and that perennial cosmic wink that permeates the back catalogue. To quote Oscar Wilde, "Life is far too important a thing ever to talk seriously about."

Dispensing with foreplay, track one ("Like a Myth") jumps straight into a bouncing, jet-black groove, with snappy claps puncturing a serrated mid-bassline. T-Bone (Tony Bartlett)'s vocals interweave the whole thing, processed to sound as if they're getting beamed in from an interplanetary radio station. It's a fearsome, stomping follow-up to the trio's more ethereal release from earlier this year, and not to be played to family members with the slightest fear of pagan rituals.

Shaddock Records 10th release “Betrayal”  is more than just dance tracks, two songs that come with full-blown vocals, a Re-edition of classic Latin Freestyle by Jorge Ojeda ft. Hilda Mariee with an up-to-date cover version by Mr. & Mrs. Jonson. 
The original version is a slammer coming straight from Miami the capital of Freestyle Music.
Driven by hard electro beats and Ojeda’s signature Miami Bass with Latin Hip Hop/ Freestyle Dance grooves, “Betrayal” when initially released on Ojeda's Destune records became a club and street phenomenon in Miami. It would be one of the first of many productions between Jorge Ojeda and Hilda Mariee’ and their project Teaz II Pleaz.
Now “Betrayal” catches new life on Shaddock Records and continues to tell it's story. 
On the 2nd A side Mr. & Mrs.Jonson aka Mathew Jonson and Isis Kuaygarond created an incredible cover version keeping the electro and freestyle spirit but taking arrangement and production to the next level and thus into 2018.
Mathew and Isis, after their recent marriage have spent endless hours in the studio and with Betrayal - the couple’s very 1st release - they are giving us a first insight into their joint musical vision.

Unlike many tracks with 303 bassline widely known for being used as a warehouse weapon knocking bricks hard out the wall, this track shows that it can have a bright, dreamy and somewhat, a romantic take on the genre delivering it in a very unusual way. The bassline is being accompanied with a blissful, lush pad adding a bit chorus and delay to taste creates a very harmonic vibe where all the elements are perfectly coming in together. If you’re looking for a jam that would be a soundtrack to your bright moments, don’t look no further - this one will do the trick without a doubt.
