The first EP on Note Variation was prepared by a debut producer, but by no means a newcomer to the broken beats, Subtraxive from Moscow. 
He brings you closer to the savor of orthodox mid-tempo breakbeat in the British style, inspired by the subtractive synthesis of the eternal classics of Roland, such as SH-101, TB-303, TR-808, TR-909.
Alexander (the real name of Subtraxive) was inspired by the latests music species of the early 00s. Each track is a proven ascetic antidote to the hybrid jumble of genres, but at the same time organically combines with many types of garage and house music for your pleasure of killing it on the dancefloor.

"Circles" steals the show with the mid-tempo sandstorm drums and mantra-spiral bassline.
The second track on the release “Unwind”, immediately teleporting you to the end of a night. Subwoofer health test tool. 
"With You / Without You" opens proceedings with a spiral of haunted acid bass and technoid hihat leaping in energy throughout.
"My Flow" is a subtle composition of euphoric synths and well-crafted sub-bass. These nostalgic early morning breaks scattered cut stylishly close off the EP.

PREMIERE : Subtraxive - With You Without You

After releasing four compilations on cassettes featuring tracks from Bliss Inc., Low Tape, Maruwa, DJ Lifegoals, Greenwald, DJ Safeword and others St.Petersburg based label Snippets Music present their first vinyl release. EP was written and produced by a musician from Utrecht, a regular guest of Operator Radio and the author of the digital release "Trans Atlantique" for Gestalt Records — Tifra.
 
For the debut vinyl release Tifra has prepared three tracks which were remixed by the artist who released vinyl releases on Lobster Theremin, Craft Music and GASP Records — Marco Lazovic and label head of 10010 Records — Ksky.

For its eighth release Griffé welcomes Rambal Cochet aka Volta Cab. The prolific electronic producer has been on the circuit for more than ten years and has explored a wide musical spectrum: from house to techno and new wave to electro. More recently his productions have taken a more progressive & trancey turn. On "Unknown Pharmacy" the producer is blending some trancey dancefloor weapons (Pharmacom & Muscle Fields) with crazy breaks (Autismo1) and a downtempo track (Underworld) to close the record in a calmer note. If I am being honest, there isn't a whole lot that I know about INDEX:Records. Apparently, they are a record label that was started in 2017 and consists of artists from Manchester, Berlin, and Auckland. Self-described as "confusing af," INDEX:Records are clearly a group that doesn't take themselves too seriously. However, the level of in which they give absolutely no fucks should be commended. I honestly haven't laughed this hard researching a label in quite some time. For god's sake, their about page reads:

"The future is Cyborg Orgy. We, with machines, are penetrating and generating. We metabolise our instruments, giving them life and personifying them for our own devices. It is the conscious touch which has the ability to awaken the complexities of these mechanisms and arouse their own personalities."

How can you not fall in love with these guys? In all seriousness though, label heads Con + Mos actually release some highly original and experimental music. Their seventh record, which comes out today, features new music from Berlin producer Ike Zwanikken, simply known as "Ike." Featuring two original compositions and a remix by GOD69, the lads seem to be putting all that robot fucking they're doing to good use. A great example of this is Ike's "Kiwami Formed," which you can listen to above. Although elements of the song are quite futuristic and mechanical in nature, the tune still manages to exude a level of sexiness that's undeniably human. Take into account it's break-dancing assortment of electro wobbles and energetic drum patterns, it's only a matter of time before "Kiwami Formed" will have you up, dancing, and all hot and bothered.
