Hello everyone,

it’s with a genuine enthusiasm that we announce our next release: this extensive compilation will be the fifth of the label and thus the best way to celebrate our fifth birthday !

From ambient to techno, and everything in-between, Various Artists 005 will proudly feature some of the regular contributors to the catalogue, as well as an expert selection of new faces. Among them, Accou (esoteric musician, member of Indian Red Head crew), Matthias Puech (synth designer, researcher at INA GRM), Sonhan (DJ/Producer, co-organiser of Metropolis events in Brussels), Time Scale Dilation Lab (aka Ersatz Olfolks), Polygonia (DJ/Producer, creative director of Lowless), Daniel[i] (DJ/Producer, manager of Whispering Signals), Launaea (Producer, manager of From A Lost Place).

We are truly honoured to share the work of such talented and dedicated artists, thanks to them for their involvement, and thanks to you, listeners, for your continued commitment to our scene.

PREMIRE : Adhémar - Invisible Birds [Accents Records ( ^^^ )]

Often compared to a living, breathing thing, a proper club night ebbs and flows as people dance the night away. The peaks, the lulls, all powered by a pulsing, rhythmic beat. Steady, ever so steady. Simone Bauer’s ‘Aurea’ evokes those same emotions and feelings of an evolving night from the depths of the beginning to a soaring finish. A journey if you will. From the thump of the first heart-like beat, the ethereal pads bring in an introspective touch and act as a fine mist over the staccato of shakers and other percussive elements.

Aurea will let out into the world on March 15th, via the French imprint, Accents Records. Joined alongside by a litany of other amazing producers, this will mark the fifth VA compilation the label has put together.

The artistic focus has evolved from club focussed house tracks to delicately curated and well thought out dance music spanning from a range of influences in UK Garage, breakbeat and techno. Recent support from DJ Boring, DJ Seinfeld and Brame & Hamo has solidified Human Movement's new solo chapter as a key name in Australian underground dance music. Between releases he's provided us with his latest B Side, 'Addicted' a breaky, UK garage inspired breakbeat number, with influences ranging from jazz to dub.
