Tiella Sound is a project born in 2019 from the mind of Italian DJ Luca Bigote that started as a radio show currently airing on French LYL Radio, and now debuting in the record label ecosystem with its first official release, pressed in a limited edition of only 200 copies.

The vision and mission of the entire project are quite clear and based on the principle of musical eclecticism. Luca Bigote, in fact, from the very beginning has never wanted to set boundaries to his creature, which, following an open-minded approach, flirts with the most disparate sounds, not exclusively club-oriented ones, focusing on the quality and research that have always distinguished his path.

For its first release, Tiella Sound has chosen Perugia-born DJ and producer Daniele Tomassini, already known for his records under the Feel Fly moniker, who presents us with the first LP from his alter ego VAISA.
This work consists of unreleased tracks composed between 2014 and 2016, during the intense creative period that saw him involved in more experimental and alternative projects such as Palenque Pacal trio and Wunder Camera duo. This material finally sees the light, a few years after the inspiring live performance during the second edition of Esperimenti (January 2017), the music festival curated by Luca himself together with his friend and colleague Matteo Lieto in Gaeta, Italy.

“VAISA is a dense, raw, evocative project. A lo-fi maelstrom of field recordings, sound collage, mysterious vocal samples from ancient cultures, obscure rhythms and layered tribal percussions, ambient clouds, dub echoes, with the martial tolling of the kick drum beating out the slow electronic ritual” (Caveargento): a deep and timeless journey, ready to drive all the lovers of the most abstract and primitive sounds into ecstasy.

It was cold out here in the middle of nowhere. The stars were bright and glistening against a deep, murky, black backdrop as if the sky was acting as some sort of stage upon which they might dance and shimmer.

The boat continued to move over the water, drifting softly and slowly onwards through the night. It was deadly silent but for the occasional ripple of water.

Perhaps this was what serenity truly felt like?

He began to melt slowly away, much like the cold and the ice which surrounded them on all sides as they moved onwards through the passageway. One day all of this would be a distant memory, a nostalgic reflection of an exhibition through the North.

For now it was simply a case of absorbing each breath, taking in the cold abyss and melting away.

Oliver is set to release a new EP on the prominent Mantissa - the well versed record label come mix series come editorial outlet has grown from strength to strength over the years and is making great strides.

This EP is a well rounded assortment of pensive, moody, delicate electronics which are as much for solitary listening as they are dancing.

Athenian producer Aggelos Baltas, also known as Anatolian Weapons, unveils the ‘Earth’ LP. The album fuses polyrhythmic percussion with tones of his native folk music, welded seamlessly together with a distinct Krautrock attitude. ‘Earth’ takes us on a mystical journey through the northern Greek highlands, backed by Baltas' unique machine-assisted folk, infused with hypnotic drones and exuding an aura that is both futuristic and evocative. 

Anatolian Weapons now continues his explorations in boundary-pushing electronic music with the ‘Earth’ album, a true reckoning with ancient musical traditions given a modern facelift. The eight tracks reconstruct a sonic narrative of tradition enhanced with psychedelic and space-rock elements marked by tribal rhythm and pure hypnotism. 

Active in the scene for more than 20 years, Baltas has been praised locally and internationally for his bold blend of different styles and influences, seen not only in his Anatolian Weapons project but also in his work as Dream Weapons and Fantastikoi Hxoi. His releases have been put out by renowned labels such as Beats In Space, and Emotional Response, now, he returns to the Swiss Subjects To Restrictions Discs after remixing their recent release by Anna vs June.

A far-away echo of mermaid song will emerge from the shadows and come into the light. A forgotten tale of mysterious spirit, soothing nostalgia, dark ardor is resurfacing, set to the sound of trippy synth melodies and resounding drums.

Through aeons of evolution, the mysterious metamorphosis of the vinyan butterfly advances with a new moon: slowly becoming whole, casting sounds and echoes from one dimension to another. We witness the next cycle as it spreads its wings and emerges from the chrysalis. The eccentric landscapes and hypnotic blends of @sunjuhargun and Khun Fluff are given new capacity and perception catalyzed by Full Circle (aka @joakimbouaziz and @alexisletan), @s-o-n-s under his SYO moniker, and an eternal injection rework bonus.

The A-side features Sunju Hargun’s ٹرانس - released prior on the Vinyan cassette and now for the first time on vinyl - spinning around a warm body of transportive delays and reverberant acid textures. The steadily drifting polyrhythms send a balance of nuance and intensity off to the inner-nebula. Up next, the mysterious Seoul-based producer S.O.N.S revisits his SYO moniker for an alternative interpretation. Leaving all subtleties behind, his rework takes off at the speed of sound, trembling into warped patterns of stubborn percussion, spirals, and even a "Koto" cameo, emerging into a sophisticated rapid-speed blend of ecstatic rhythms.

The proto-Goa devotees Full Circle take over the entire flip with their unique twist on another cassette original: Khun Fluff’s poetic วิญญาณ (Vinyan). At the speed of spoken word, the track is built around Kalayanapong’s reincarnation poem recited by Chucheewa. “Late at night, I ate starlight, to nourish. Poetry pours out at dawn, forevermore.” Groovy, subtle, spaced out to other dimensions, it brings one into a sedated delirium. A state in which the night's darkness and grooves gently but firmly mix with the light and hopes of the first rays of sun. One for the 6 AM sunrises, meow meow.

Along with a download card, the digital bonus on the release is Sunju Hargun’s eternal injection of ٹرانس. Starting like a hazy, dreamy, subdued, early morning ambient track, it morphs and transforms into a colorful, ever faster flying musical butterfly, bringing light, and speed in the E.P. 's final track.
