Trying to create binaural synthesis on the Prophet-12. Recording directly from the outs of the Prophet12, no effects used.

Single from my industrial project cell:burn. Lot's of sci-fi sound design on this one, along with hardware synths (Waldorf Micro Q & Microwave XTk, Nord Lead, Korg MS-20) Vocoders and a ton of beats...

Ok, this is definitely a blast from the past! Uploaded for archival purposes. I recorded this sometime around 1986 right when the Ensoniq ESQ-1 had come out; I rushed out and bought it the first week! I used that, the Ensoniq Mirage and my Guitar recorded into a Clarion XD5 4 Track Cassette Recorder (with a lot of track bouncing! Hence the poor quality.) The bad and cheesy vocals were recorded using a cheap $20 Radio Shack microphone going into a cheap Boss Chorus pedal and Delay Pedal... and that was the setup! I also had a Sequential Circuits Prophet 600 which I bought in 1983 and a Roland TR-909, but neither of those were used in this song if I recall correctly.

The Suffering (1980s 4-Track Demo)

Recorded in 1986 using the Ensoniq Mirage and ESQ-1. I had lyrics written and sung for this, but my vocals were so bad that I deleted the vocal tracks back then. But it was a catchy tune!

A song I did back in 1988 on the Ensoniq EPS. Vocals by a friend at the time named Roderick Moyes. Recorded onto a Clarion XD5 4-Track Cassette Recorder.

The workshop from UDOs Super-6 made me curious what can be done with the Prophet-12 and I went with a vanilla sound, a little of digital highs in there too. First run is dry, centered but two sounds stacked, Second run is same but the sounds are set to left and right, third run I added some chorus and delay to each line separately (L&R), fourth run I used an LFO with shifted phase on the VCA which ends up in a pseudo pan effect.
