Exalted is He who took His Servant by night from Masjid al-Haram to al-Masjid al-Aqsa, whose surroundings We have blessed, to show him of Our signs. Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Seeing. [Qur’an 17:1]

In this month of Rajab, the Prophet (saw) was taken to Al-Quds and Jannah where Allah (swt) showed him (saw) the delights of Paradise and the torments of Hell. This miraculous event happened at a time of severe trial for the Prophet (saw) and its initial announcement to the Quraysh seemed like a victory for them.

Today Muslims are living through trying times and it seems the detractors of Islam have the upper hand, so what can we learn from al-Isra wal-Mir'raj and the events surrounding it to aid us to traverse these trials and emerge victorious like the Prophet (saw).
