Isolated Lines is a Swiss musician exploring dense and rhythmically experimental techno.
The man behind the moniker has been involved in band projects, sound engineering jobs and Switzerland's underground music scene in general for some years. Coming from a background of listening to and playing in rock, indie and noise groups, his tracks are as much informed by the energy and dynamics of live performance and sound science as they are by the endless possibilities of electronic production. So far, they have found a home on established Swiss label Creaked and been picked up by labels such as 47, 30D, Illegal Allien or Prophet Recordings among others.

Isolated Lines productions are warmly textural and full of subtleties, usually favouring trippy, hypnotic grooves over outright aggression. Whilst most of the detail is consciously designed, Isolated Lines makes music in a way which leaves space for randomness and organic elements; listen to the off-kilter swing of 'Raze' or his remix for Gaspard De La Montagne, for example. Especially through a decent sound system, the layers evolve and interact with an exciting air of unpredictability.

As with his studio gear, the live setup is subject to constant change and development. Certain characteristics remain within the sound and the way it is presented though: ambitious arrangements, soaring, euphoric pads and hard-hitting drums. His material is versatile enough for pitch-black basements and early morning festival sets alike.

Ink! is known for sets that open windows to musical dawn, or doom. Having explored the vast lands of the Hardcore Continuum since the late 90ies, he continues to be interested in the connections between signal and noise, the in-betweens and the nuances. Feeding from Techno, Rave, Bass and Dub, and often using more than just two turntables and a mixer, Ink! stirs up sets that are invitations to loose yourself in a sea of sound. 

Ink! has shared the stages of clubs and festivals in Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Japan, China, Italy, Hungary and Latvia with acts like Mouse on Mars, Laurel Halo, NHK’Koyxen, Ben Frost, A Made Up Sound, Shed, Andy Stott, S S S S, The Gaslamp Killer, DJ Krush, DMX Krew, Tomaga, Addison Groove, Donna Summer, Dimlite, Cylob, Ceephax, Wisp, or Otto von Schirach.

Sound artist and performer focused on contemporary digital music.
His project is based on a glitchy sound research with many melodic additions, typical of ambient and IDM.
Kein music and soundscapes have been used by various experimental videoartists worldwide and he published recordings on Audiobulb Records (UK), Helvet Underground (Switzerland), Nuhar Records (Italy), Cinoci Records (UK) and several european netlabels.
