Disociacion é produra/DJ de Buenos Aires que atualmente vive em Barcelona. Em meados 2018 começou a fazer experimentos com máquinas, criando sons atmosféricos, obscuros, distorcidos, e basslines hipnóticas com a intenção de fazer corpo e mente se desconectar. Lançou recentemente seu primeiro EP chamado Massive Mental Control pelo selo Of Dolls and Murder (Arg), e e também contribuiu com outros selos como Pildoras Tapes (Col), Lost in Lust Records (Ny) e In Their Feelings (Br).

Para a nossa série, Disociacion traz um ritual com sonoridade abstrata, melancólica, darkwave e avant-garde, compondo um cenário obscuro que nos remete às ilustrações de Gustave Doré para a "Divina Comédia" de Dante Alighieri, invocando um estado hermético de transgressão pessoal, em que pensamentos, emoções, sensações e / ou memórias são ocultadas, pois são muito radicais para serem integradas pela mente consciente.

Disociacion is a producer/DJ from Buenos Aires who currently lives in Barcelona. In mid 2018 she started experimenting with machines creating dark, distorted atmospheric sounds, and hypnotic basslines with the intention of making the body and mind disconnect. She recently released her first EP called Massive Mental Control on the Of Dolls and Murder (Arg) label, and has also contributed to other labels such as Pildoras Tapes (Col), Lost in Lust Records (Ny) and In Their Feelings (Br).

For our series, Disociacion brings a ritual with abstract, melancholy, darkwave and avant-garde sounds, composing an obscure scenario that reminds us of Gustave Doré's illustrations for Dante Alighieri's "Divine Comedy", invoking a hermetic state of personal transgression , in which thoughts, emotions, sensations and / or memories are hidden, as they are too radical for the conscious mind to integrate.

This EP is the result of a long-standing creative exchange between ArpXP and Was A Be – a process that unfolded over the years in a spontaneous, unstructured way, capturing the spirit of the moment rather than following a rigid plan.

These tracks are not the pair’s first collaborations; the two artists have been close friends for many years. Each piece was born in different circumstances and under different inspirations, but they evolved gradually, reshaped and fine-tuned through countless tests on the dancefloor.

ArpXP is among the first Italian DJs and producers to break into the international drum & bass circuit. Since the early 2000s, first with his project S.M.O.K.E. and later as a solo artist, he has released on iconic imprints such as Metalheadz and many more. He is also one of the driving forces behind the renowned SUNANDBASS Festival, where he curates the label SUNANDBASS Recordings.

Was A Be, meanwhile, has established himself as one of the most influential figures in the Italian scene. Known for his eclectic and boundary-pushing style, he has released music on some of the most respected labels in the game, including Subtitles, Critical, Shogun, Gutterfunk and Neosignal.

She zoned out as she began to think of the chaos of the city a million miles away, it had never been her home, more so a resting place. This was where she belonged, in the wild open spaces and the bleak outback of the North. She closed her eyes and listened to the birds chirping in the late afternoon sunshine. She fell asleep...

@Asymmetrical is the boss of the @raw-culture-recordings label, a young niche label on the Italian scene that focuses on raw sonority and includes releases by @rawambassador, @cardopusher, and many others. The recent PUSHERS 04 VA exemplifies just this, raw and uncut from start to finish. He is a resident of the 01 collective in Rome and is a part of projects such as @fauna53 and @distorted-portrait which has a great release on @rawpaperrecords.

DET:ROI - contraction of Detroit and Charleroi.

The Motor City has always been important to Roulette Rekordz. Not only for the major influence it had on us and many of our artists, but also because our first international guest was MANASYt then based in... Detroit. During our journey, a couple of releases have paid tribute to that specific sound, be it Natan Vance and his soundtracks for cyberpunk thrillers, Hantrax and his naive and nostalgic tales or Dark Prophet and his beefy electro-techno.

We thought it was time to solidify this connection and make it obvious for once and for all. Not only for musical reasons, but also because our cities share one same fate. A story of deindustrialization, decline and decay. A story of social struggle and economical challenges. A story about humans and their actions, creating the energy of the city they live in.

Roulette Rekordz is offering you today a collaboration between two big bearded motherfuckers : FRANCOIS DILLINGER representing Detroit & POLADROID representing Charleroi.
