Though she entered the mortal realm on Valentine’s Day, Alina Valentina is not one to romanticize life on earth through rose-tinted glasses. She instead explores an alternate dark fairytale universe channeled through her misanthropic synthwave music. Using analog synthesizers, cynical poetics, and detached vocal delivery, she conveys camp sensibility from her lair in The Netherlands.

Blending the nostalgic wonders of retro video games, sci-fi noir, and new wave/post-punk music, Valentina’s creations possess an enchanting and cathartic quality. Her sound reverberates the spellbinding mystery of Kraków Loves Adana, the hard-bitten attitude of Molly Nilsson, and the passionated Minuit Machine.

Mono twists our sense of time again, coming up with the third installment of his ‘Redate’ series on Dalmata Daniel: an elegant selection of uncut tracks, roaming in the fields of electro, acid, IDM and EBM. Redate III in its digital format presents tracks that were written and recorded between 2014 and 2015. As the cassette version, it includes not only Redate III (as side A), but a collection of J. Mono’s various other tracks created between 2017 and 2021, that appeared beforehand on various compilation albums (as side B). In other words, with this fresh new tape you’re all set with 8 years of J. Mono experience.

A Dub Techno Journey is a compilation that traverses Dantes circles of Hell, transforming them into hypnotic and profound soundscapes. Each track represents a canto from Dantes Inferno, interpreted by producers from different parts of the world, united by a shared sensitivity for dub techno vibrations. The idea was conceived by Francesco Tamburrano, who envisioned a musical journey blending literature and sonic exploration, and took shape through the collaboration with the label Superordinate, always attentive to visionary projects with an international scope. The result is a dark and immersive path, where enveloping basslines and deep echoes guide the listener on a sonic pilgrimage through Dantes Inferno.
