The second chapter in my Full Circle series — filmed during a deeply creative period while living in the house I grew up in after more than 30 years away.

Killarney is one of the most stunning natural environments in Ireland. During my four and a half years there, I filmed over 500 different days or evenings — thousands of hours of footage. Much of that material shaped this series and other works in my collection.

This episode offers a visual and musical reflection of a year immersed in beauty, rhythm, and return.

Following the aspirations of the first compilation of Bizaarbazaar, #2 is a media experiment that attempts to preserve musical content against the unpredictable mutations of the web. It features the work of over 40 artists responding to the themes: ‘Sonic Fragments,’ and ‘Rhythmic Weaponry.’ 

While bizaarbazaar #1 was packaged as a zine and double cassette, its successor strays further from conventional music packaging to take the form of a t-shirt tied to a unique download code, and a radio transmission on NTS Radio. To celebrate as well as accompany the release, a listening session of bizaarbazaar #2 is held at Motto Berlin in collaboration with the Swiss magazine zweikommasieben.

On 5th June Subtext Recordings present ‘Kistvaen’  – the fourth solo studio LP by Roly Porter – which takes its name from a type of granite tomb found predominantly in Dartmoor, southwestern England. Scattered across the moorlands, the kistvaens were often found covered in a mound of earth and stone. They housed dead bodies, allowing them to lie facing the sun.

Track commissioned for the exhibition ‘Now Accepting Contactless - Design in a Global Pandemic’ V&A Dundee as part of a mix by David Blamey for British Earways to be played on a loop in the gallery.

A couple of months before lockdown, the housing block where Tom White lives got covered in scaffolding. Residents were left in a building veiled by translucent white netting for months on end. This composition was made in this specific urban lockdown context: the fridge whirs, birds chirp on scaffold poles, electromagnetic activity & tape loops reverberate on the eardrums, within the home and out into the world.

Composed of archive and site specific sounds.

Reworks is a compilation of 4 tracks that are reshaped and compiled on a very Limited Edition vinyl and digital as well. From ambient to downtempo acid-like tracks, each song is made on a hardware set-up only.

"You're Searching For Nothing" & "Music For An Empty Train" were initially edited on my first EP on I Low You Records in April 2020. "Lost Track" is an old recording that was produced in 2018 and edited in September 2020. It was initially recorded for my ambient EP "Panorama" which was edited on Unse Records. "AC333T" is an improvisation on a 4-track tape recorder. It's the only track on this EP with a drum and acid bass-line.

Each track is produced with various modular synthesizers such as Korg MS-20, Behringer Crave, Behringer TD3, Yamaha DX100 and Yamaha MT1X in combination with several effect pedals.
