Fon.Leman - Subortus premiered in Armin van Buuren's - A State of Trance Episode 623

We continue wondering, how prolific Alexey Fon.Leman is in 2013. Having already completed two full-length singles for Intricate Records with overall five tracks, «Muse Collector», «Converted Universe», «Mental Cell», «Heirloom» and «Anaconda», he continues to impress. At the same time, Alexey presented a number of tracks for other labels, published many freebies for public download online and offers his monthly podcast “Dimension & Perception” on a regular basis. It’s absolutely no wonder that an announcement on Fon.Leman’s third release for our label came quite quickly. This time, Alexey presents two brand new works, «Coral Aura» and «Subortus», with significantly modified, lighter and softer sound. You might have already heard that Alexey’s style is often described as “Ibiza-sound” – with his latest single you will have a bright example of what is Ibiza Island in 2013. By the way, an early version of «Coral Aura» was already successfully tested in February at the Russian “Transmission” festival in front of thousands of joyful clubbers who met the track with thunders of applause. The final version of this track is already selected for the label’s debut compilation «Intricate Sessions Vol. 01 Mixed by PROFF and Vadim Soloviev», which should be available almost everywhere within the next few days.

Alexey Fon.Leman’s third release including «Coral Aura» and «Subortus» is scheduled for August 2013 on the Russian progressive label Intricate Records, right after the compilation «Intricate Sessions Vol. 01 Mixed by PROFF and Vadim Soloviev».

It's time for us all to welcome back label regular James Woods to PHW. As always we are thrilled to have him back with his uplifting and melodic progressive music, and this time he brings another superb production to the test. This new original is named "Book Of Dreams". Be ready for some majestic sound design, rich pads, smooth melodies, lovely warm bass lines and arpeggio melody filled with atmosphere and emotions to bring the best out of the James Woods alias. As always, it's a great pleasure to set up a remix line-up for a James Woods release. This time we have brought in 2 new names on our growing PHW roster along with one of our regulars and we love to have them all with us. First up is a brand new production from the well known Anushka De'Sai, being on labels such as such as Silk, Armada and Nueva Digital in the past, he now have decided to join forces with us on PHW. He is to bring you on an euphoric journey here and this sounds really cool with pumping melodies, cool effects and an overall stretched sound design that gives us goosebumps all over, lovely sun drenched summer vibes is just around the corner here. Next up on remix duty is another new guy in the house, this time the truly amazing producer Vintage Colors brings his twist on this lovely James Woods original. He has created a massive interpretation here, giving the track a great edge with some harder and more driving bass sounds, an added on small but very effective vocal shop is brought in and we so love the atmosphere on this one, it's a pure bliss coming up that we think will roch your sets! Last out and to close the bag together with us is one of our great mates to the label, the Italian rising star Giorgio Cusinato aka Daga that here returns home to PHW once more. As always we are thrilled to have him with us. He has created a totally knockout here, just made to perfection. It's definitely one for the club floors that has got a great progressive feel, influenced with some more big room elements and some true electro touches as well, a peak time bomb is born ready to rock your crowds! To sum it up, we feel honored to be able to release this from all of these heavily talented guys, and we definitely hope you will find it an interesting release, with music worthy to support!

Silk Royal is excited to welcome back 19 Hz, the Argentinian super duo of Dario Tello (a.k.a. Airdraw) and Rodrigo Deem, with the brand new single "Another Skin". 19 Hz's last release on Silk Royal, the Beatport hit "Round & Round," was voted "Web Vote Winner" on Above & Beyond's "Trance Around The World" and receive a litany of additional support, so we are especially excited to announce their return to our imprint. This single also comes equipped with brilliant new remixes by Dan & Sam and Blood Groove & Kikis.

19 Hz proved that they are quite capable of composing peak-hour dancefloor material with "Round & Round", but their offering here, "Another Skin", is a journey back to their more pensive and emotive progressive roots. The song kicks off with a house-y beat (highlighted by a snappy snare), brooding and layered pad, and melancholy arp line, all of which coalesce to create a deeply poignant atmosphere. A top line to the arp beings to develop: crystalline bell sounds, which soar above the track like an especially vivacious flock of birds. Meanwhile, the full-bodied pad begins to crescendo with "tidal" force, as the song approaches its midpoint. In the main break, we are treated to a series of achingly beautiful female vocal samples and wintry bell sounds, all of which lend additional emotional resonance to the tune.

Dan & Sam, fresh off their breakthrough hit "Breaking The Illusion" (#2 on the Beatport Trance Release chart for over a week), offer the first of two breathtaking interpretations. Hailing from the USA (Dan Sieg) and Australia (Sam Wilkinson), this exciting new duo offers a more upbeat take on the original, as their version jets out of the gate with a clubby kick and gut-busting rhythm. Yet, the emotive spirit of the original is not abandoned: a teaser mini-break early in the track reveals a moving new lead chord progression and arp line, as well as the very welcome inclusion of the original vox samples. The tune continues to pick up steam, leading into the main break, where a gorgeous new piano solo appears. The dancefloor-friendly groove sits below all of these elements in the latter half of the tune, to truly stunning effect.

Blood Groove & Kikis, who also appeared recently on Silk Royal as a winner of our "Wild At Heart" remix contest, are back with another atmospheric progressive masterpiece. Their track takes a slightly different approach, in that the song is infused with a more "romantic" and soothing spirit, in contrast to the melancholy and almost heart-breaking tones of the prior two mixes. A powerful groove is established early, as well as repeating chord, which eventually develops into a full, 4-bar motif. Also, the vocal samples bring additional melodic texture, as do the Sundriver-esque pads. Glorious new melodic variations appear in the break, including delicate guitar plucks and piano lines. With the arrival of the drop, the listener is submerged in full atmospheric prog splendor, courtesy of one of the finest new acts in the genre.
