The 6th release from Quixotical Records (@quixoticalrecords) belongs to producer from Mexico - VELTRÁN (@veltranmx). Two original tracks and 4 remixes from MOOZEIC, DISCONTROL, PVLOMO, and MVERTO FUTURA lies down into "BAILA CON LA CABEZA" EP.

EP starts with "NOCHES" original track. Stunned and frightened on how well-done the characterization of this song is. This is the most important part of this track because it sets the terms for the mood. And the mood is everything it needs to be - dark, broody, and very intimidating. Prepare to receive a soundwave of chills running down your spine!
The second is the title track "BAILA CON LA CABEZA ". Like a sharp needle it pierces your eardrums, giving you an uneasy feeling, you're not alone, there's someone in the dark, creeping in the shadows like a ghost, you can't see it, but you can hear it, you can sense it, intensity is building up and that thing is only growing, feeding off of your fear of the unknown, getting ready to consume you, and it will... Resistance is an absurd thought, that will pass through your mind, shortly disregarding itself until there's nothing, but vicious sounds fighting each other in the eternal landscape we call consciousness.
MOOZEIC version of "NOCHES" reveals different layers of the song, it shows us how high we can ascend and when is it safe to jump back in our own shoes. Robust and
stuttering skeleton slithers through the track, granting it necessary impulses to keep it lifelike, we all know it's just an empty vessel inhibited by the monstrous, wire pulling entity, but we all just let it slip, because sometimes smokes and mirrors is exactly what we need.
DISCONTROL remix of "NOCHES" - Hypnotizing and confusing, two words that can almost describe this adaptation, but as you might guess there's always more. A sinister secret lurking just beneath the surface. Unveiling itself little by little, attempting to describe horrifying things that can make a man go mad just by listening to it. At times greatly impressing you and freaking you out at the same time. It begins with horror and ends no other way.
There are no bars keeping you away from your suspension of disbelief in PVLOMO interpretation of "NOCHES", much lighter than it's opposition, but none the less entertaining. A change of tone, but not of heart if you will. Engaging and convincing in many ways. It plays with silence to keep you aware, it scratches the empty space between you and the sound and that is all it needs to do to get under your skin.
Last but not least is the title's track "BAILA CON LA CABEZA " remix by MVERTO FUTURA. As you get deeper, closer to the core, you're exposed to so many aspects, pushed so far beyond the ordinary you can't tell what's happening. The only thing that is clear to you is emotional intensity. It's there, escalating. The precision and believability stir you up, leaving you in appreciative awe. Any disturbance in this state would be absolutely criminal, but then again, everything ends doesn't it?

Richmerch returns after several months of absence with an EP by Persona RS and Macaulay. Lovers of skateboarding, 90's Latin electronic music, Latin American food and the chaka scene, they have created El Tiburón EP. Two original tracks with inspirations from Proyecto Uno and Ilegales that bring sounds of bad taste and third world vibes. It features 3 world class remixes ranging from the more ambient and break style sounds of A - Tweed, through the darker, danceable and good sounds by Martin Noise & DELLA to Techno that makes you relive the feeling of being in an underground party of the 90's thanks to the good Rous.

The release is scheduled for August 8th on all digital platforms.

PREMIERE - Queer On Acid - Sportlotto (Step Recordings)

Nick Hanzo's EP "Frequent Habits," takes listeners on a trip into his primary passion — exploring different frequencies that evolve into a dance-inducing art form. After a brief hiatus, Martin Enke, known by his artist name Llewellyn, makes a return to Riotvan with "Instant Crush“, a mini-LP consisting of six tracks. Following the success of his previous three EPs and the notable five-year gap since his "These Days" EP, Llewellyn is back to light up the summer with his latest release which will be out July 19th available on vinyl and digital.

"Instant Crush“ is a perfect blend of nostalgia and innovation channeling the essence of the 1980s with a modern twist. Four-on-the-floor beats, luscious string sections, syncopated basslines, soulful electric pianos and vintage synthesizers are all expertly combined by Llewellyn.

PREMIERE: Llewellyn - Instant Crush [RIOTVAN]

Neón is a 5-track remix EP by the duo Utopyk & El Fulminador, founders of Fulmen Records. The release features 3 alternate versions by El Fulminador and a remix signed by Fulmen’s techno specialist Sacv. With the original version being part of the album 2011, released on Fulmen Records back in 2016, the Neón remixes create a journey that goes from 80s influenced, uplifting pop to breakbeat and techno at 145 BPM.  
The release exudes the freedom of endless summer nights on the streets of Berlin, long, drunk walks along Miami’s Ocean Drive and the glamour of seductive afternoons at a vacation resort in Tenerife. It talks about quintessential nihilism after years searching for ecstasy in nocturnal landscapes, using an irresistible rhythm to convey its fresh message, amidst captivating chords and atmospheres. 
The Streets Mix, first alternate version by El Fulminador, takes the song from a concert stage to the dancefloor. It uses the original instrumentation to develop a dub mix with an adaptation of the song lyrics into Spanish, evolving in waves like a fractal mamushka. It takes the most addictive elements from the original and combines them with darker sounds reminiscent of 80s extended jams. Narcotic.

Dannie Fade emerges as an artist to watch with a fresh single on "Sinchi" that comes with off kilter remixes from Roe Deers and Tolouse Low Trax. The not for profit label is once again raising funds for the Sinchi Foundation and the support of indigenous people, which has never been more vital given what is going on in the Amazon right now. Fade only debuted his first music in 2018 after four years DJing, but has been making melodies and rhythms since youth, playing both guitar and piano. Inspired by the likes of Red Axes and Identified Patient, he shares his latest vision here, and it is a compelling one. The arresting ‘Demolition’ will re-wire your brain: it has sinewy synths and crashing hits scattered over a crawling, menacing groove. Squelchy bass underpins the whole freaky trip, which exists in some twisted world where techno and disco collide. Tolouse Low Trax is the solo project of Detlef Weinrich, who also works as part of the Kreidler group and is resident at Salon des Amateurs. Here he flips ‘Demolition’ into a chuggy and elastic, hypnotic dehumanised groove. It is mysteriously empty and atmospheric throughout, and for that reason keeps you locked. Roe Deers is a Lithuanian-based audio-visual project with credits on Throne Of Blood and Ombra International. His remix is the hardest hitting of the lot, with surging drums and endless synth loops that hurry along with warped sound effects and knocking cowbells for company. These are three brilliantly inventive, genre defying tracks and mark another high point for the Sinchi imprint.
