Kieron Boothe is a British rapper and Illustrator hailing from East London. He represents a new wave of UK artists whose music is as much rooted in jazz and soul as in new styles. ‘Out Of Sight’ is the first single from his upcoming EP Views From The Bottom, his second solo-release with Melting Pot Music. With artwork by the man himself. 

Raised in Newham, East London, with family ties in Jamaica (his grandfather is a cousin of reggae legend Ken Boothe), Kieron started rapping at the young age of 11, first emerged on the scene in 2012 and has dropped a total of seven projects since. He has contributed to the first volume of The Silhouettes Project and he has recently been featured on songs by edbl, KeepVibesNear and Nikhil Beats. Graduating in Graphic Design from University of the Arts London has given Kieron the advantage of being able to produce branding and marketing material for his own releases as well as a range of other artists both underground and commercial alike.

Isatta Sheriff and Koralle join forces on ‘Eat The Kiwi Skin’ - a six track EP that unites the talents of the East London MC and the Bologna-based beat smith. The duo's first collabo ‘Laid Back’ was released in 2021 and gained 2.5 million streams to date. Even though the music is made in Italy ‘Eat The Kiwi Skin’ is a London sumting.

“It's a laid back journey into my world in East London,” Isatta explains. “I paint a picture of my journey so far as a Black female rapper, and the racial politics and experiences surrounding that. It follows Laid Back’s relaxed approach to the stage where I am at making music on my own terms and speaking freely.”

On the EP, Isatta is joined by fellow vocalists Lex Amor, Shumba Youth, Awate and Mercy's Cartel who are also not afraid to eat the kiwi skin. “The skin is the most nutritious part of the fruit and you have to digest the roughness (harshness) to get the most nourishment,” the outspoken Eastender explains.

“When you do things differently, some people get it, and some don’t. Some join in and some just comment from the sidelines. Might not be the easiest (or tastiest) thing to hear but it's necessary. This could be interpreted in a music and life sense.”

Isatta's track record includes collabos with Flying Lotus, Oddisee, Arrested Development and Athletic Progression. She is hosting a radio show, runs her own label Doctored Sound and works as a music writer.
Koralle is one of the most in demand European beatmakers with a sound rooted in jazz and boom-bap. Since signing with MPM in 2019, he has released three albums and accumulated more than 30 million streams.
 
‘Eat The Kiwi Skin’ will be available digital and on LP (including instrumental edits of all tracks for the beat lovers out there). The album artwork is designed by acclaimed Colombian illustrator SagaUno who also did the covers for The Silhouettes Project and Koralle's ‘Beat Kiosk’.
