Bokoya is a four-piece jazz/hip-hop band from Cologne who plays improvised beat music. Like a four-headed human drum machine, Bokoya improvise, shape, and develop beats in the electric field of repetition and variation. It's impossible to put a tag on Bokoya's music. BADBADNOTGOOD, Dilla, Krautrock, Ambient and dub might work as rough reference points for the music but don't do it justice. After a sling of releases on Wadada Records, Bokoya are now signed to Melting Pot Music where they will release their new album ‘Hausensession’ in October. The double single ‘Swampland / Cava’ is their second taster.

Kieron Boothe is a British rapper and Illustrator hailing from East London. He represents a new wave of UK artists whose music is as much rooted in jazz and soul as in new styles. ‘Out Of Sight’ is the first single from his upcoming EP Views From The Bottom, his second solo-release with Melting Pot Music. With artwork by the man himself. 

Raised in Newham, East London, with family ties in Jamaica (his grandfather is a cousin of reggae legend Ken Boothe), Kieron started rapping at the young age of 11, first emerged on the scene in 2012 and has dropped a total of seven projects since. He has contributed to the first volume of The Silhouettes Project and he has recently been featured on songs by edbl, KeepVibesNear and Nikhil Beats. Graduating in Graphic Design from University of the Arts London has given Kieron the advantage of being able to produce branding and marketing material for his own releases as well as a range of other artists both underground and commercial alike.

Kieron Boothe is a British rapper and Illustrator hailing from East London. ‘Phone Down’ is the second single from his upcoming EP ‘Views From The Bottom’. With artwork by the man himself. Away from the rest of the herd, Kieron is thriving in his own lane as he makes his distinct stamp on the UK Rap scene. Kieron showcases his range with the downtempo single, bridging the gap between Alternative Rap, Lofi and Jazz, ‘Phone Down’ combines smooth samples with reeling lyricism and further demonstrates his ability to write personally yet playfully. 

“After a long conversation with Cotton about where I was at in life and what I was looking for in a relationship, ‘Phone Down’ was written in one afternoon. Something very different for me because I don’t tend to open up and make many love songs and it ended up being my favourite on the project.”

What many might not know is that Kieron’s creative flair doesn’t stop at music, he’s also an applauded illustrator with co-signs from the likes of Idris Elba, KSI and Giggs to name a few. Graduating in Graphic Design from the University of the Arts London has given Kieron the advantage of being able to produce branding and marketing material for his own releases as well as other artists including Jords, Shae Universe and V9, Kieron's days are split between music and drawing with his best work being creating when he lets things flow freely.

The Gradients project was created to blend different creative platforms. Our philosophy is that nothing in life is black or white, but a gradient. We explore this concept through various intersections and collaborations between mediums including (not limited to) visual art, design, dance, film, music, architecture, food, computer science, and more.

The most recent Gradients Project that NY-based artist Kathy Lee (aka Yaeji) spearheaded has been the Gradients Mix series--a collection of 30 minute mixes that aurally translate a gradient of 2 colors. She has also been hosting Live Gradients shows in New York where each musical performer is assigned a color to interpret through their set.

"'Hue' was an audio-visual study for me. When I first decided to challenge myself and make multiple tracks that could sit under one theme to be an EP or album, I was stuck with the preconceived idea that it has to hold one consistent sound. That very quickly became limiting for me, so I decided to think of the songs as colors instead, flowing from one to the other like a gradient, to inspire my production. That is why my tracks are each named a color and they all connect to become one, long gradient."
