This Asturian (from Asturias, a province situated in the North of Spain) has been working as a DJ for more than 25 years. Avid collector of vinyl records he owns one of the most select collections of his homeland, having been in possesion of around 14 thousand vinyl records, his strong point being all of the variations within minimal.

About the Album

'Boundaries' is the result of over a year of production work, spanning from last year into the present. The album emerged from a minimalist setup, reflecting a period of intense focus on sound creation and experimentation.

"Confusion" features a collaboration with Berlin-based, UK-born artist King Sleepy. The track underwent a complete transformation during our second session together. We incorporated vocals sampled from an interview with an individual experiencing severe psychological distress, adding a distinct element to the track's composition.

"Eternal" employs a specific production technique involving stacked sidechained EQ cutters. This method preserves the low frequencies of the vocals while suppressing the bass, creating a unique audio profile.

"Echo Chamber" incorporates recordings of actual conversations between producers about music production, providing a behind-the-scenes perspective on the creative process.
The remaining tracks complete the album, each with its own characteristics and production approach.

'Boundaries' represents a significant period in my work as a producer, showcasing various techniques and approaches to music creation.

After Dark Fader EP, Mihigh is back.

Club Midi resident since 2007, Mihai is definitely one artist to look at. He is returns on vinyl after a very prolific 2017, landing his new work Adult Contemporary on aNBu Music label.

The Brussel label is designed to release music from a close circle of passionate artists, and this release follows the same principle.

The track chosen for the premiere is A1, License, a stripped down dark minimal roller. Here Mihigh is not afraid of pushing some boundaries to the darkes corner of music, where spectral sounds are alternated with broken vocals resulting in an intoxicating yet charming groove.
