"At Fault" is a collaboration with my good friend Hiro Makino aka "There Is A Fox" (https://soundcloud.com/thereisafox). The song's early stages consisted of a re-arranged and re-sampled There Is A Fox original called "Bad Day." Hiro then graciously provided additional guitar tracks and layers to the sampled arrangement. We went back and forth adding and subtracting elements until we came out with this end result. This track was initially planned to be released with the new Spazzkid EP, but ended up wanting a life of its own. It stands for itself, pure and beautiful.

What we really wanted to do in this one is to explore the possibilities of stereo sound. Got inspired by some electronic tunes of Jamie xx, Synkro and Tycho. We just feel that we need to diversify our sound with some dance elements, as these bass/pad scheme starts to sound boring.

Ocean on Fire

CE is an independent singer/producer/rapper from San Francisco and based in Brooklyn. He’s one half of the hip-hop duo Quincy Vidal. In 2012, he released his first solo album, Siddha, and it was a process that helped him deal with his father’s sudden death. “Mudra” is the last song from the album. It features vocals from CE’s father, self-recorded when CE was just a child.
