French duo Laval returns to Pär Grindvik's Stockholm LTD imprint, 'Origins' is taking place as a follow up to their well-acclaimed 'Cold Hearts' album, released early 2018. Laval has had a brilliant rise since surfacing on Stockholm LTD in 2017, now they serve up the label's last release of the year. 

'Origins' is a steady three tracker in true Laval aesthetic, showcasing the duo's skills of blending experimental and heavy rhythm patterns with beautiful atmospheres and melodies. Laval's music is for sure connecting the dots between dance music and the listening realm.

In these times, I have a lot of time on my hands which I feel like is a blessing. Everyday I'm waking up, having breakfast, meditate a bit and go to the park for a work out. After the 4-hour morning routine, the day starts off with a couple of hours working on my old and new music: producing-, mixing-, and mastering sessions. The rest of the day I fill with some other tasks to be done. It feels like I'm moving 'Forward' with my plans and ambitions like never before. So, how suiting is it to drop a 3-track EP called 'Forward'? The EP consists of 3 original tracks which have one thing in common; the driving, rolling, and forward (bass)synth. To me, the pushing sound represents moving forward instead of standing still while the world turns around. 

The production, the Mixdown, and the cover I did myself. However, it's the first time that I gave the mastering session out of hands in order to have that second ear. Thanks to @modestcrow for the masters!

"When I performed in a club in Bavaria, the event went out of control. I was booked for a warm up set before playing, I noticed that my dj colleagues were acting very strange because I already knew there were a lot of hard drugs involved. When I was done with my warm up set, the next act played for about 45 minutes, after that he dismantled the dj equipment at around 2:00 am because he thought it was 5:00 am the whole event was chaos.
