With Assumed Identity, Jonias Escurá — one of Meet Recordings’ defining artists — returns to the label with a release that transcends boundaries and reaches into the outer edges of deep, hypnotic techno. Inspired by the vastness of space, atmospheric tension, and the concept of “3I/1atlas” — a symbolic reflection of our era — Jonias channels his fascination with cosmic environments into a sonic journey that feels both intimate and infinite. The title track, Assumed Identity, opens the release with a documentary-like voiceover that guides listeners through layers of pulsating rhythm and immersive soundscapes. Its hypnotic drive and cinematic depth reveal Escura’s signature precision and emotional clarity — a fusion of mechanical energy and human curiosity. The accompanying tracks, Abundant and Substance, expand on this theme, each exploring new tonal dimensions and rhythmic architectures. George Effe is a DJ/Producer from Baku, Azerbaijan. 

Making his debut in 2012, he has actively been part of an upcoming alignment within Baku's electronic scene. 

George has enabled himself to become one of the first residents at the infamous IN club in Baku, which is a place of alternative recreation. 

The IN Club has been the first of its kind in Baku, as it has broken a lot of stereotypes. George's sound can be described as atmospheric, hypnotic and psychedelic, which is reflected in the mixtape he has made for our series.
