Detroit's Lettercamp is an electro-pop jigsaw... dark, off-kilter, but danceable... a stew of damaged beats, bass and sweaty synths that serve as a backdrop for Liz Wittman's idiosyncratic vocal style. And with an ever-changing live show that has included lights, screens, fans, robots and silhouettes, Lettercamp never disappoints on stage.

The band's debut LP, Raccoon Panda, was released in June of 2010. Lettercamp's music caught the attention of several well-respected artists who donated their talents toward an EP called Raccoon Panda Redux, featuring remixes by members of Sloan, LCD Soundsystem, Electric Six, Royal Bangs, K-OS and more.

Lettercamp's forthcoming album expands on their sound with flashes of disco, live drums and dissonant guitars rounded out by alluring and infectious vocals. The new album will be released in spring 2012 by Swedish label Substream.

They've played numerous cities in the midwest and east coast, sharing the stage with Robyn, Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr., ICP, Stereo Total, BRAHMS, Tigercity, Deastro, You Say Party! We Say Die!, The Phenomenal Handclap Band and many others.

I'm a designer and former broadcaster and youth-development professional. In my free time I love exploring instrumental music through vignettes. This project is enabling me to wrap my love for music with photography and design to tell a better story.

My name is Liz Wittman. 
I have been in a few bands here and there. My current band is an electro/pop band called Lettercamp. While Lettercamp is still working on a new record I have written some new songs. It is unlike me to want to post these raw songs publicly. I usually take these songs and have them re-worked and re-imagined and turned into something a bit more polished. But screw it. I’m just going to post them. They are not perfect, the levels might be whack, the sounds might be off, and the mix might be pretty heavy on bass and drums. This is really just an intimate moment between me and my computer and now you. If you read this far, thank you so much for taking the time to listen to my songs and reading a little bit about me.
