JUNKIE - Take That

The acclaimed duo known simply as Shades (Alix Perez and Eprom) are proud to share their newest single in “Dark Wing,” set to drop on June 3rd. This is the first single off of their upcoming album, From a Vein— slated for a late-summer release on Perez’s acclaimed 1985 Music imprint. The forthcoming 14-track LP marks the pair’s first full-length album since In Praise Of Darkness, released on Deadbeats in 2018.

The Beginning, out June 3rd on Gravitas Recordings, is a journey of introspection, blending both masculine and feminine energy and providing moments of movement. This is quite literally “The Beginning” for Bass Temple as she has been making a name for herself playing shows at The Black Box, Denver Ecstatic Dance, CloZee’s Voyage Festival, and many more. Bass Temple’s sound captures a mix of psychedelic and reflective bass music, creating a more intentional listening experience. With recent releases from High Vibes Recordings, this EP showcases the freedom to explore new sounds and ideas that felt true to where her sound has musically grown.

“The story and my interpretation of Vanish is this. Me, Cyazon, disappears from a cyberpunk place to avoid being discovered of who he is. He goes into the shadows to find out how he can re-enter the cyberpunk place.
This track can also be interpreted as being secluded or disappearing from a situation to find a new meaning of self. I wanted the sound of the track to be dark-feeling and cyberpunky with glitchy sound design.” - @cyazon
