Bedroom Live

Michael Dop is a Moscow-based artist, designer, DJ and music producer. Once he decided to merge his two favorite passions, art and music, into one creative flow instead of choosing between them.
In 2008, he became one of the founders of the Slowdance art project which has transformed a little idea into the record label, event series focused on conceptual electronic music, and creative community united in a strong belief that constantly changing music determines the perception of life, and shapes people's minds.
In 2018, he founded his personal Finetune live project. Musical poetry where the sounds of modular and classical synthesizers, drum machines, and groove boxes are mixed up, and sometimes are accompanied by his own voice.
Some of his ideas take place in an alternate reality – on the canvas. These contemporary paintings are later being included in space around, while his art messages can be interpreted and rephrased many times creating an endless number of new meanings.
Turning his ideas from imagination to reality and paying attention to every detail, Michael Dop sees art as an exciting way to daydream unexpectedly, while looking at the artwork or listening to music, and travel through many of dreamworlds.

We are very happy to announce our newest podcast delivered by the one and only AJELE from Zurich. Since we know her she surprises us with her dreamy, well-driven, versatile and solid groovy sets. She always knows how to pull the people on the dance floor in her spell.

Biography:
“Looking back at more than 20 years of nightlife, I wouldn’t want to miss anything I’ve experienced, because it got me to where I am right now. I have traveled trough different styles – house, break beats, drum and bass, techno..., because music has no boundaries.”

As daughter of a Swiss mother and a Ghanaian father, Ajele was born and raised in Switzerland, where, at the age of eighteen, she got introduced to the electronic music scene and realized there were hardly any female DJs. Now that was something she strived to change! The Decision was made and the first records, mixer and decks where bought. Vinyl shopping became an addiction and playing them a passion. Since 1996 she’s an inherent part of Zurich’s electronic music scene.

2002 she started as a promoter with the label Chicks behind the Decks - a wake- up call for female DJs all over the country, to arrange numerous events and live performances across a wide spectrum of electronic music. This activity got her in touch with similar organizations all around the globe; new contacts were made and new projects born.

2004 was her first summer in Ibiza and for three seasons Ajele played five nights a week at the bar Lo Cura, one of the coolest hangouts in town. It would get her the attention of several promoters and on their booking lists. For instance, she became a regular for We love Sundays, Mulletover, Electric Lady Land, Tim Sheridan and Smoking Jo’s Nasty Dirty Sex Music at Space, Manumission at Privilege, Underground and Blue Marlin.

2007 Looking for inspiration in music and life, she moved to London for a year and back in Zurich, became a resident of the popular Hive-Club and a regular at Cabaret-Club (where she was hosting the event I feel you together with her good friend Susanna Grippo).

In 2008 she started producing her own tracks and teamed up with Klaus Amrein (aka Cooky) to form the project KREIS ZWEI. 2009 they received the "Electronic" award at the M4Music Demotapeclinic Contest.

In the past 10 years she took a step back from traveling abroad but she still has her regular gigs within the Swiss clubs and festivals. She is also a regular at the beautiful Kasheme living room, where she developed her smooth side. Playing her eclectic interpretation of a chillout set.

Her versatile and solid music style has given her many opportunities to open the night. Warming up the floor is her strength!
