With a simple philosophy to fuse together all that is good in electronic music, from pumpin' funkin' Breaks to filthy Electro.
 
Cutting their teeth in production in 2009 and with huge releases on infamous labels such as Rob da Bank’s Sunday Best, Hardcore Beats (720 Bass), MOFO Recordings and Re:Connect; Leuce Rhythms have gathered support and shared the bill with what can only be described as a veritable banquet of who’s who in the scene, from the likes of The Plump DJs, A-Skillz, Krafty Kutz, Stanton Warriors, Dub Pistols, Pyramid, Elite Force, Far Too Loud & many, many more.
 
Championing the Electro Breaks style internationally, in and around Europe at a plethora of festivals, events and club nights, including their prized Illuminasty residency; Leuce Rhythms continue to go from strength-to-strength and in the words of Mixmag “are set to make a real name for themselves”

Jay has been a musician since the age of nine. He started out playing and studying drums/percussion and was inspired by genres such as: Funk, Soul, Hip-Hop, Fusion, Disco, Acid House, Drum and Bass and Jungle. After performing in many bands that experimented with fusing live instruments with electronic sounds, he then started exploring music technology, music production and DJ'ing. In 2005, he completed his Jazz Studies degree at Leeds College of Music. Whilst there, he became immersed in the Leeds House/Techno and Breakbeat scene. Iconic club nights such as Technique, Asylum, Back to Basics and Dirty Disco were influential in paving a way for Jay as an artist. In 2004, Jay had his first vinyl release on a white label, which was a bootleg of MJ's 'Don't Stop Until You Get Enough'. The record titled 'Don't Stop Sweating', received positive critique in the Breakbeat scene, with key players such Soul of Man and Utar Saints supporting the record during the festival season. Jay then went on to sign to Future Funk Squad's label- Re:Connect Recordings with a run of successful releases, again supported by major players, including: the Plump DJ's and Leeroy Thornhill. In 2005, Jay signed to Menu Music run by Atomic Hooligan and Jay Cunning, where he had a run of successful releases. In 2006, Jay signed to Breakin' Even Records run by Rob Savage and had a number of releases including: 'Not My Thing' and 'We Are Back'. In the early 2000's, Jay performed at several influential nightclubs across Leeds, Manchester and London and was nominated at the annual Breakbeat Awards at Fabric. He produced a number of successful remixes for respected artists including: Cut Le Roc; Ben & Lex; Groove Diggerz; and Rico Tubbs. From 2012-2018, Jay took a break from the scene to focus on a music teaching career, but has made a return to production with a new sound. Upon his return in 2019, Jay has had a release with Midnight Social Recordings and several on Big Tunes Records. Watch this space.

2014 was a great year for Breaksjunky, 
 After being nominated in 2013 at Breakspoll International Breakbeat Awards for 'Best Breakthrough DJ' and narrowly missing out, 
he came back in 2014 even stronger to not only take the Award (putting his name on everyone’s lips) 
but also adding 'Best Radio Show' to the collection.
 
When Manchester's Breaksjunky first stepped up to the decks in 2002 he had a simple ambition, to infect the masses with Big, Fat, Dirty BASS!! 

Since those early days he has only gone from strength to strength with a string of performances for some of the biggest names in Club Land, playing along side the like of:
 
Grandmaster Flash, Dj Qbert, Plump DJs, Stanton Warriors, The Freestylers, Deekline, Dj Fixx, Keith Mackenzie, Martin Flex, Wes Smith, Mike Nice, Dub Pistols, Meat Katie, Cut La Roc, Elite Force, Far Too Loud, Gaudi, Jackal & Hyde, Spacemen Live, KL2, Supernaut & Justin Robertson to name a few.
 
Not content with just rubbing shoulders with the greats, Breaksjunky has made it his personal mission to play at all of the U.K's most Inspirational club nights and festivals. 
 
2013/14 saw him play a string of stand out sets across the U.K and take to the stage at Boomtown Fair, Moovin Festival, Ravenstonedale Festival and being Honoured with opening the amazing, 'Fortress' stage at The Beat-Herder Festival. 
 
As well as his own Radio Show, Awards and DJ sets, Breaksjunky is also a chart success,
With “All That Junk” co produced with Zen Cartel, "What What What" & "Rock The Disco-Tek both co Produced with Leuce Rhythms and "GET EM" co produced with Alekay, 
Which all did very well in the Beatport & Juno Breaks charts and he has lots of new projects and co labs underway.
 
Most recently Breaksjunky has started to infect USA, performing at multiple events at the 2015 Winter Music Conference in Miami,  shortly followed by a 5 show US Mini Tour in the summer which too was a huge success.

He has also played on other continents including Europe & Asia and is in the process of setting up a  European tour, 
He's all about spreading the gospel of Breaks.
 
With the buzz still going after his Awards and performances, 2015/16 is set to be a another EPIC adventure!!

Hi. We're "Funkliners", a recently formed(May 2014) duo,  We're both from Yorkshire and between us have played as solo DJ's up and down the country. We first played together at  one of Manchesters flagship events, Illuminaughty, and we then formed "Funkliners". Our style is anything funky goes, as long as its got buckets of bass. Ghetto funk, glitch / trip hop, breaks, hip -hop.

We've both played for a fair few years now and have racked up a lot of gigs in these years, but we're thirsty for more as a duo, if you want us to come and tear up your venues dancefloor, we'd be more than happy to.
