Nuevo podcast disponible con la actuación completa de Ivankovà, proyecto en solitario de la artista y compositora Irene de la Cueva, en la tercera edición de #LEVMatadero, en la que reinterpretó su último álbum Mogut’ Yun [Eternal Recordings, 2021] partiendo de la propuesta visual del artista multidiscilpinar Álvaro Choir. 
A través del mantra y la repetición en composiciones de largo desarrollo, nos invita a transitar por paisajes sonoros que encarnan su visión particular del espectro gótico y la fantasía neo medieval, en los que largos drones de órgano analógico, sintetizadores y etéreas composiciones vocales son protagonistas.

New podcast available with Ivankovà’s live show, solo project by artist and composer Irene de la Cueva, in the third edition of #LEVMatadero, where she reinterpreted her latest album 'Mogut ’Yun' [Eternal Recordings, 2021] taking as her starting point the visual proposal of multidisciplinary artist Álvaro Choir.

Since his first vinyl release in 2015, James Shinra has explored the more melodic side of braindance, electro, breakbeat and rave with a string of EPs on Null + Void, Analogical Force, Craigie Knowes, Feel My Bicep, 20/20 Vision and Anjunadeep. His well-received debut album 'Vital Heat' on Analogical Force saw him move away from the dancefloor and broaden his musical range in several directions, from laid back piano pieces to frenetic breakbeat workouts. 

At L.E.V. Festival 2023, he delighted us with an acid-tinged live set full of electro beats and memorable melodies.

Desde su primer lanzamiento en vinilo en 2015, James Shinra ha explorado el lado más melódico del braindance, electro, breakbeat y rave con una serie de EPs en Null + Void, Analogical Force, Craigie Knowes, Feel My Bicep, 20/20 Vision y Anjunadeep. Su álbum debut 'Vital Heat' en Analogical Force contó con una gran acogida que le permitió alejarse de la pista de baile y ampliar su abanico musical en diferentes direcciones, desde sosegadas piezas de piano hasta frenéticas sesiones de breakbeat.

En L.E.V. Festival 2023, presentó un directo teñido de acid, electro beats y melodías memorables.

CORIN is Corin Ileto, an electronic music producer, DJ and performer working in the field of performance art, sound design, theater and club spaces. Her productions are an assemblage of converging styles moving somewhere between IDM, grime, EBM, trance, and baroque-laden ambience. In her compositions, traditional forms merge with hyper-digital sounds to create new imaginary realms. Coming from a background in classical piano, Ileto is interested in creating a sonic space in which western classical music can be hybridized with contemporary electronic production and non-western forms. Each of her releases focus on speculative mythology drawing from science fiction, western classical music, personal histories and ancestral heritage. In L.E.V. Matadero, she presented a live AV performance around her latest album 'Lux Aeterna'.

CORIN es Corin Ileto, productora de música electrónica, DJ e intérprete que trabaja en el campo del arte escénico, el diseño sonoro, el teatro y el club. Sus producciones son un ensamblaje de estilos en convergencia que se mueven entre la IDM, el grime, la EBM, el trance y el ambiente barroco. En sus composiciones, las formas tradicionales se funden con sonidos hiperdigitales para crear nuevos mundos imaginarios. 

De formación pianística clásica, Ileto busca crear un espacio sonoro en el que la música clásica occidental pueda hibridarse con la producción electrónica contemporánea y las expresiones artísticas no occidentales. En L.E.V. Matadero, presentó una actuación audiovisual en directo en torno a su último álbum 'Lux Aeterna'.

En la última edición de LEVMatadero, HORMA (nuevo alias de Sole Parody) estrenó su proyecto “Matadero”, en el que ejecuta un paisaje sonoro que va del noise-techno al ambient disolviendo los límites entre live y dj set. HORMA utiliza ambientes modificados a partir de las grabaciones de campo y  entrevistas que el colectivo Sound Readers realizó a los trabajadores del Centro Cultural Matadero, y los combina con tracks de techno y paisajes de sintetizadores. Además convierte su imagen en el imput de la propuesta visual y lumínica que el artista Azael Ferrer genera en tiempo real. Con herramientas de inteligencia artificial, sensor de movimiento y cámara de vídeo, cuerpo, luz, vídeo y sonido se retroalimentan continuamente en múltiples direcciones, generando un discurso asociativo/disociativo de lo que se ve en escena.

El Proyecto contó con el apoyo del Centro de residencias artísticas de Matadero Madrid tras ser seleccionada en 2023 en la II Convocatoria para proyectos de música electrónica experimental de Madrid.

In the last edition of LEVMatadero, HORMA (Sole Parody's new alias) premiered his project ‘Matadero’, in which he performs a soundscape that goes from noise-techno to ambient, dissolving the limits between live and dj set. She uses modified atmospheres from field recordings and interviews that the Sound Readers collective conducted with workers at the Matadero Cultural Centre, and combines them with techno tracks and synthesizer landscapes. He also converts his image into the imput of the visual and light proposal that the artist Azael Ferrer generates in real time. With artificial intelligence tools, motion sensor and video camera, body, light, video and sound are continuously fed back in multiple directions, generating an associative/dissociative discourse of what is seen on stage.

The project was supported by Matadero Madrid's Centro de residencias artísticas after being selected in 2023 in the II Call for experimental electronic music projects in Madrid).

LEV Festival cerró su edición de 2024, en el Jardín Botánico Atlántico con un directo del artista de música electrónica experimental Scanner.

Desde 1991, la música de Scanner, pseudónimo del artista británico Robin Rimbaud, ha recorrido el mundo con un vasto paisaje sonoro que abarca desde la electrónica minimalista hasta la melancolía cinematográfica. Con este directo, bajo el título How to make art from life (with the help of a few ghosts), ofrece una exploración inmersiva e íntima del sonido mediante grabaciones binaurales que conectan al oyente con su entorno. La propuesta, libre de pantallas, invita a vivir el momento y dejarse abrazar por una aventura sonora poética y evocadora.

LEV Festival closed its 2024 edition at the Atlantic Botanical Garden with a live performance by experimental electronic music artist Scanner.

Since 1991, the music of Scanner, pseudonym of British artist Robin Rimbaud, has travelled the world with a vast soundscape ranging from minimalist electronica to cinematic melancholy. With this live performance, entitled How to make art from life (with the help of a few ghosts), he offers an immersive and intimate exploration of sound through binaural recordings that connect the listener with his or her environment. The proposal, free of screens, invites you to live in the moment and let yourself be embraced by a poetic and evocative sound adventure.

La Laguna Boreal del Jardín Botánico Atlántico se volvió el hogar de Sophia Loizou durante el L.E.V. Festival 2024, donde presentó Vesta,  una obra sonora inmersiva sobre las dimensiones ocultas del sonido. A partir de grabaciones de archivo y de campo de frecuencias sumergidas, sísmicas y electromagnéticas, Loizou pone en primer plano las huellas sónicas y las sombras espectrales que habitan en los límites de la percepción. La pieza se presentó en formato binaural, creando una experiencia sonora envolvente que nos anima a ampliar nuestras prácticas auditivas más allá de los límites humanos.

Sophia Loizou es una productora musical, autora y artista audiovisual británica que trabaja en la intersección de la música contemporánea, la ficción especulativa y la ecología.

The Boreal Lagoon of the Atlantic Botanical Garden became home to Sophia Loizou during the L.E.V. Festival 2024, where she presented Vesta, an immersive sound work about the hidden dimensions of sound. Using archival and field recordings of submerged, seismic and electromagnetic frequencies, Loizou foregrounds the sonic traces and spectral shadows that inhabit the edges of perception. The piece was presented in binaural format, creating an immersive sound experience that encourages us to extend our listening practices beyond human boundaries.

Sophia Loizou is a British music producer, author and audiovisual artist working at the intersection of contemporary music, speculative fiction and ecology.

El artista visual y multimedia, físico y profesor universitario italiano, Riccardo Giovinetto, presentó en el L.E.V. Festival 2024 una versión extendida de su performance audiovisual F E M I N A.

Este proyecto explora la idea de la virtud y la mirada que la define durante el Renacimiento a través del viaje imaginario de una inteligencia artificial. En ella, ecos de madrigales polifónicos se superponen a la composición de la música electrónica original, mientras muestras de pinturas renacentistas se transforman en un flujo de imágenes que muta constantemente, interactuando con el sonido.

Italian visual and multimedia artist, physicist and university professor Riccardo Giovinetto presented an extended version of his audiovisual performance F E M I N A at the L.E.V. Festival 2024.

This project explores the idea of virtue and the gaze that defines it during the Renaissance through the imaginary journey of an artificial intelligence. In it, echoes of polyphonic madrigals are superimposed on the composition of the original electronic music, while samples of Renaissance paintings are transformed into a flow of images that constantly mutates, interacting with the sound.

La artista audiovisual alemana Amelie Duchow trabaja en el ámbito experimental de la relación entre sonido, espacio y percepción visual. Su enfoque conceptual combina microsonidos sutiles y estructuras electrónicas complejas con articulaciones visuales inmersivas, creando obras que retan los límites de la percepción.

En la 19 edición de L.E.V. Festival, presentó su proyecto LOGOS MATER, donde investiga sobre cuestiones esenciales:

- ¿Cómo suena una lengua más allá del significado de sus palabras?
- ¿En qué medida nos influye el sonido de una lengua?
- ¿Cómo resuena en nosotros el sonido de una lengua?

La composición sonora de LOGOS MATER se inspira en elementos fonéticos y acústicos que exploran la esencia de las lenguas del mundo. Para ello, Amelie Duchow invita a personas de todo el mundo a participar en el proyecto mediante una plataforma web donde pueden grabar su voz. Estas aportaciones vocales son analizadas y transformadas por la artista, dando lugar a un proceso creativo de alteración sonora.

German audiovisual artist Amelie Duchow works in the experimental field of the relationship between sound, space and visual perception. Her conceptual approach combines subtle micro-sounds and complex electronic structures with immersive visual articulations, creating works that challenge the limits of perception.

At the 19th edition of L.E.V. Festival, he presented his project LOGOS MATER, where he investigates essential questions:

- What does a language sound like beyond the meaning of its words?
- To what extent does the sound of a language influence us?
- How does the sound of a language resonate in us?

The sound composition of LOGOS MATER is inspired by phonetic and acoustic elements that explore the essence of the world's languages. To this end, Amelie Duchow invites people from all over the world to participate in the project via a web platform where they can record their voice. These vocal contributions are analysed and transformed by the artist, giving rise to a creative process of sound alteration.

Jailed Jamie es el proyecto más orientado a la pista de baile de Jaime Tellado, conocido también como Skygaze. Arquitecto de profesión, Jaime lleva más de una década formando parte activa de la escena underground española, con una trayectoria que lo ha llevado a actuar en los principales festivales del país, como Sónar, L.E.V. o MIRA, además de presentar su directo en países como Estados Unidos, Bélgica, Italia o Ucrania.

El 2025 marca un nuevo hito en su carrera con el lanzamiento de su tercer álbum de larga duración, Hyperdrive, que fue presentado en primicia durante el festival L.E.V. 2025 y publicado en abril de ese mismo año. Este trabajo es un despliegue de creatividad donde Jailed Jamie fusiona géneros como electro, IDM, dubstep, jungle y UK garage, consolidando su identidad musical única y su versatilidad artística.

Jailed Jamie is the dance floor oriented project of Jaime Tellado, also known as Skygaze. An architect by profession, Jaime has been an active part of the Spanish underground scene for more than a decade, with a trajectory that has led him to perform at the country's main festivals, such as Sónar, L.E.V. or MIRA, as well as presenting his live sets in countries like the United States, Belgium, Italy or Ukraine.

The 2025 marks a new milestone in his career with the release of his third full-length album, Hyperdrive, which was presented in premiere during the L.E.V. 2025 festival and published in April of the same year. This work is a display of creativity where Jailed Jamie fuses genres such as electro, IDM, dubstep, jungle and UK garage, consolidating his unique musical identity and artistic versatility.

Lila Tirando a Violeta es una productora musical uruguaya, con base en Irlanda, reconocida a nivel internacional por su enigmático y versátil repertorio sonoro. Sus influencias van desde la música experimental de vanguardia hasta las percusiones de batería, todo ello inspirado en grabaciones de campo y ritmos de América Latina.

Durante la primavera de 2025, lanzó su álbum Dream of Snakes con el sello berlinés Unguarded, y en el L.E.V Festival tuvimos el privilegio de disfrutar de este esperado trabajo.

Lila Tirando a Violeta is an Uruguayan music producer, based in Ireland, internationally recognized for her enigmatic and versatile sound repertoire. Her influences range from experimental avant-garde music to percussive drumming, all inspired by field recordings and rhythms of Latin America.

During the spring of 2025, she released her album Dream of Snakes on Berlin's Unguarded label, and at the L.E.V Festival we were privileged to enjoy this long-awaited work.

La creadora del paisaje sonoro de este planeta virtual, trazado a través de la interacción de factores como el sonido de parajes asturianos y sonidos originales captados por la NASA, así como el propio imaginario de LEV Festival, nos hará embarcar en un viaje audiovisual a través de una actuación en directo que se emitirá en streaming desde Laboral Ciudad de la Cultura, y que irá acompañada de un recorrido visual por la naturaleza del planeta realizado especialmente para la ocasión por sus creadores Children of Cyberspace.
