Hey guys! We are back!
Yes, a little different, true, but with the same love for music and rock. However, in order for you to understand the changes that have taken place, let's go back in time and unravel some of our trajectory here.
Well, it all began unpretentiously in 2011, when our bass player, Alexandre, sought to dive into the ocean of music and practice on his instrument. In this environment of study and improvement, he met two of our members: Mr. Nunes (classmate in the music theory class) and Dayvid (the teacher). Moved by the same passion - music, they decided to meet outside the school so they could practice their learning and have fun together. They invited Theo, our first drummer, Alexandre's uncle, to join the group and Pedro, step-son of Alexandre, for the role of vocalist and guitarist.
From there the play developed and the compositions began to be born. However, when Pedro decided to move to Canada in 2015, we decided to record the songs that we had, before his departure, so that they would not be lost in time and so we could listen to them wherever we wanted. We recorded the songs, in an amateur way and with the resources that we had until then, and created our SoundCloud. And, to our grateful surprise, it was a success! (Yes, for us, who did not expect the reach and the positive reviews we got, it was a great success!).
Faced with all this, our motivation only grew. We decided to start the composition of our second album. However, we were embezzled, without vocalist / guitarist and without drummer, due to health problems of our dear Theo. The solution was to invite Lilian, Pedro's mother and Alexandre's wife, to take on the vocals. Besides her, Roger, guitarist and music producer, also joined the band. Finally, Leo Bruno, drummer and friend of the band, took the hit. And here we are again!
We would like to thank all of you who support our music. All the suggestions and constructive criticisms have been and will always be heard and, in this new album, we try to put all this learning into practice. Obviously, with all the changes that have taken place, our sonority has also been modified, considering the varied musical influences of our members. But one thing is certain: rock will always be in our veins and music in our hearts.

The Perverted Hymns: Band Overview and Songs

Emerging in 2010, The Perverted Hymns burst onto the Lower East Side of New York's music scene, blending raw, hardcore energy with melodic finesse. Founded by Chris Kane and W.H. Willy, the band became known for their electrifying live performances that combined high-energy music with theatrical fire-eating burlesque acts. Their unique style brought together the lyrical depth of the Beatles and Nirvana, and their politically aware yet profoundly personal themes delved into rebellion, identity, and the soul’s struggles.

The Perverted Hymns weren't just a band—they were a visceral experience, lighting up the underground music scene and inspiring a passionate, ever-growing fanbase. Their music lives on through their electrifying tracks and side projects, such as The Pillz’ First Dose album, fronted by Ed Pillz, offering the same signature edge in a trio format.

Pratyay is a Guitarist and music producer who has undertaken a 2 year formal education of Music production and Guitar at The True School Of Music. 
His main influences range from Classics like Beatles and Pink Floyd to underground acts such as Haken and Opeth. Other than that he is open to all other genres equally and takes keen interest in exploring new artists and genres.
