FMB DISCORD MIXTAPE 002: La Piscine

Welcome to the second instalment of the FMB Discord Mixtape. Joining us this time, we welcome La Piscine.

I am a musician from Catalonia and have lived in London for 6 years. I started playing guitar and singing in punk bands as a teenager and for the last few years I've been producing electronic tracks and DJing. I like using samples from records I find and mixing them with more modern sounds. I also create my own edits that I play during my sets (these can be found on my SoundCloud).

I enjoy playing open format and making mixes that contain uplifting dance tracks, preferably with some interesting sound production happening!

I first heard about Bicep whilst listening to their episode on the Tape Notes podcast. I loved the way they explained their production techniques for some of their songs and also the way they organised and used their samples. Their music sounded both familiar and fresh, and I just thought the way they approached music production was very clever. On top of that, they sounded like genuinely nice and thoughtful guys!
