Recorded last year in the legendary Hansa Studios in Berlin, Satin Jackets' 'Think About It' was, in the German producer’s own words, “proper disco”, a sun kissed combination of guitars, pianos, strings and a sumptuous vocal that, at the very least, had us dancing around our living rooms last summer. Norway’s Cavego gets straight down to business kicking things off with a cavernous 4/4 beat, pulling the track’s remarkably funky bass line right to the front of the mix and then wisely letting the vocals take centre-stage. As the track swells and develops and the guitars and synths pile in Cavego still gives each element a sense of space, the result a deep, rich disco track that’s sure to sound incredible pumping through a club’s sound-system.

High Groovin Sessions Best Of 23 Part II

Ghent's finest, Pascal Garnier aka Krewcial comes with his debut on Local Talk and it's not your average outing. Normally his productions land somewhere in the disco and soulful house, but this time around we're served a combo of live jazz (yes, with real musicians) and synchronized house rhythms.and it's the real deal!

We begin with Brooklyn Affair, thumping' house jam with a slightly old school 80's feel and a killer jazz-piano theme.

The series has hit a milestone of 30 mixes with the latest addition to the Selected Timbres family. Specializing in a multitude of styles and genres, Duktus has continuously taken up space on my record shelf and hard drive. With releases on some amazing labels including BlaqNumbers and OutRun Records, I was super grateful and excited to get him on the series. 

With this mix he showcased his deep house side of his moniker as we take an audial journey to Leipzig. You'll be treated to a vinyl only mix today with the first half showcasing some of Leipzig's finest. And I think that's pretty cool. :)

You may also notice two new friends who have joined Duktus in the cover photo of this mix. My new friends were crafted and gifted to me by Duktus himself, and it really showed me what a genuine guy he was. The excitement I sensed from him when I asked to be on the series was reassurance, albeit unneccessary, that he was the right man for this milestone mix.

Toy Tonics Jam Hits is a new format where Toy Tonics puts together some of the most successful tracks played at their Jam parties. These are taking place every weekend around Europe, in some of the best clubs and at Toy Tonics regular jam places like Panorama Bar Berlin, Phonox London or Alacazar in Rome. Toy Tonics is doing these parties 2-4 times every weekend. It's a big thing now. 

This second part features COEO with their evergreen song „Native Riddim“. This song is almost a club classic. Played by everybody from Moodymann to Gerd Janon, Peggy Gou to Dan Shake. The extended version has 8 million plays on Spotify already.

PREMIERE: Scruscru - Sunny Autumn Days [Ltd,W/Lbl]

'With this mix, I wanted to combine tracks that have drawn me in over the past few months, a few older mainstays in my collection and a couple of my own that seemed to fit the mood. To begin, I wanted to create a feeling of the anticipation that I associate with early summer, and then decided to go a bit more bass driven and euphoric as things progressed! I had loads of fun putting this together and I hope that you like it!

London based Producer and DJ Memphis Glass is inspired by exploring interesting spaces between house, techno and bass music. Since his debut ‘Orange Circles’ EP on SITU Records in 2021, he has been steadily building a reputation for his deep sound that balances sweet melancholic melodies with driving drums and enveloping basslines. Remixes for both DJ Panthr and Greg May and his 2nd EP ‘Mechanics’ released on Finland based imprint Mood Of The Era have seen him establish a signature sound that makes his productions stand out as distinctly his own.

I had an EP ‘Mechanics’ out on Mood Of The Era at the end of last year followed by a track called ‘Look Ahead’ in March on a new label called Rooms Inc. I have another EP out later this year plus a single on a VA and a couple of remixes.

Hailing from Mallorca, Hurlee is one of the most exciting and prolific producers on the scene at the moment. The last couple of months alone have seen exciting releases on Tilly Jam, Flat White Records and Poetry in Motion, a label which he is one of the heads behind. He has also previously released with some of the biggest labels out there including Peppermint Jam & Exploited. This is a producer who's stock is rising at an incredible rate, as is his reputation with his fellow producers.
